I was able to schedule him quickly, he called me back when he said he would and He communicated his arrival time to me by text repeatedly, arrived when he said he would even though it was getting dark. He analyzed my problem,quickly made a diagnosis, and proceded to correct the problem. His fee was reasonable and I am getting more heat out of my system than I ever have before. Not only that but I have had other HVAC guys out to correct my problem of no heat, and no one else has been able to figure it out. I have a Unico system which is tricky. We live in an older townhouse on the west side without any duct work for A/C. Al came in and came up with a genius solution for how he could make this work for our unit. I forgot to mention one thing that I wish I had. Al was working on a job and found a litter of homeless newborn kittens. He tried to find someone in the area that would claim them or help them. When no one would he took them home and he and his wife hand fed them and took care of all of their needs until they were old enough to be adopted. Very disappointed. Got a heat pump from them about 7 1/2 years ago. Compressor just died, for no reason. Very lightly used. A Goodman/Amana. OK, stuff happens. Called them up, and made the mistake of telling them it was a machine they installed back then, so please come take a look. That was dumb. It insured that they avoided us. After more than a week of trying to get them out, they just said they couldn't come. No reason. The company that did come and find the busted compressor problem told us that the unit sold to us was a year and a half old at the time Climate Control sold it to us. Some kind of leftover in the warehouse, they got for cheap (speculating here). And Goodman is not one of the better manufacturers, which is why they have only a five year warranty. Close to $4000 mistake. read more

I have had Al out a few times this season and each time he has been a pleasure to work with. It is evident he really know his stuff and takes pride in his work. One time he found some faulty wiring in our attic and repaired it potentially saving our house from a fire. Our AC unit was over 20 years old but he said it was working fine and to be thankful for each day we got out of it. That was for a spring tune up. Most people would try to sell you a new unit or "find" something wrong. Last week the day finally came that the unit quit just before record temperatures were expected. I called Craig and Al came out same day to take a look and confirm the problem and even offered a potential repair that could keep the unit running a little longer. We decided since the unit was old not to put any more money into it and replace the system. He had a quote for me first thing the next morning and made it a priority to get it done that day. He and his associate spent the entire day working and did an incredible job. Because our furnace was newer he only replaced the condenser and coil saving us $1500. I find Al to be extremely honest and up front, explains any problem he finds and what work he will be doing, and takes pride in the finished product. This is an update. For the past few years, I've always had a few questions here and there regarding our heater/AC for Al and he always responded right away with tips and suggestions. Al from Climate Control saved us from "Heat Storm 2018." Late Friday, July 6, 2018, our AC Unit shut down when temperatures soared above 105 degrees (inside 90 degrees). We had never done business with Climate Control and on short notice (7:30pm Friday), Al agreed to come out early Saturday morning to diagnose and fix the problem. Our AC System was over 20 years old, Al got our unit up and running in under an hour and was honest about the uncertainty of the unit surviving the Heat Storm and the rest of Summer. We decided to purchase a new AC Unit and by Tuesday, July 10th at 10am, Al had a Crane remove our old system and replaced it with a new Energy Efficient, Quiet 2 Stage "American Standard" Unit. Within a few hours we were enjoying 70 degree temperatures in our home. And Al checked in again later that night to confirm all was still good. Climate Control just installed my roof top air conditioner yesterday. They came on time, were very respectful of my house, laying down fabric runways to keep my floor clean. I was home for the first hour of installation and could tell that Al had high expectations from his installers, treated them well, and made sure everything was going well before he left them to finish up. And when I came home, I had air conditioning!!! Climate Control wasn't my cheapest bid, but Al helped me figure out that placing the unit on my roof would work best for my property. He and I walked the street to make sure the unit wouldn't be visible from the street and be an eyesore in the neighborhood. I also think their bid was higher because they have a guy, Craig, in the office. He makes everything work smoothly, from the bid, to scheduling and billing. He responded to calls and emails. I would give this company many more stars if I could! I received a stellar recommendation for this company from a longtime friend and neighbor when our a/c went out during the recent heat wave. In desperation, I called Al of Climate Control on the Sunday (!) of the recent Labor Day holiday weekend. Our A/C had gone out and it was a miserable 87 in the house. Not only did Al call back promptly, he said he could come out that same day once he was finished with another service call. We got various bids before selecting Climate Control, and while not the cheapest their bid was reasonable, and we at all times got the impression that they would be an honest company to work with- which goes a long way. Al and his crew installed our HVAC system a few days ago (we already had central heating but the furnace had to be moved and all the ducting had to be completely re-done), and they did a great job. They were professional, on time, and completed the job in 2 days as initially estimated. Craig was extremely responsive too, which for me is also very important. Mr. Lasry and his staff were phenomenal! They replaced a 50-year old heating system and ducting for our 2000-square foot home with a brand new energy-efficient heating and A/C system, and re-routed the extensive duct work to provide us with much more attic storage space. I can't say enough about Al and crew. From first contact, my experience was great! I knew something was wrong with my AC unit because my secondary line was dripping. I have had other AC companies come out before and I never felt good about the quality of work I got and the money I paid. But that was not the case with Climate Control Heating & Air.
