Service advisor said " it takes two filters on the transmission and you need to drop the valve body" when you google search ford 10r80 transmission oil change and tell me if it has 2 filters with one behind the valve body I will gladly eat my own words and pay the 900+ if I'm wrong! The car began to lose power even as the engine revved higher. I just was barely able to limp home at 20 mph . After discovering the leak, and fixing it, I added trans fluid to the fill line and the car seemed to drive normally. However, I couldn't be sure whether damage had occurred to the transmission. I called several transmission repair facilities and picked AC Transmissions on Federal Blvd. I spoke with Chris S., one of the shop owners. He was an excellent source of information and courtesy. The AC shop provided an inspection of the transmission free of charge, then told me that they found no damage and that the car's transmission was fine. There was absolutely no charge. Based on my interaction with AC Transmissions, I believe them to be honest and fair. As I understand it, two of the repair technicians have each at least 35 years of experience repairing transmissions. Thank you, AC Transmissions ! I would recommend these guys any day of the year. They finally gave up and told me they couldn't figure out the issue, and told me to find a Jaguar specialist. Jaguar Denver took about 30 minutes to identify the issue and resolve it. The 2nd more recent time they worked on this car, they found and replaced the faulty part in very short order. THESE GUYS KNOW JAGUARS!! Accordingly, they have my highest recommendation!
