I've been to plenty of games at The Shoe, but none here to see the University of Kentucky. The most significant difference is the size comparison with Rhe Shoe at 102k vs Kroger Field at 61k. We had plenty of space to move around at Kroger Field, and the crowd was really into the game. Tailgating wasn't an issue; we didn't see much of it. Food prices were typical for a stadium. Parking wasn't an issue, as there were plenty of open spaces on the street.

For gymnastics, it seems that no seat is a bad one. The apparati are placed such that all seats have a clear vantage view of all the equipment. Even seats in a tucked-in corner have a decent view. I had one of those corner seats and was kicking myself for not buying the tickets earlier. Instead, I waited until the day before the event because I wanted to ensure that I could attend. Surprisingly, the seat was a good one anyway. Now that I know how easy it is to buy tickets and attend a meet. Plus, I realize that no seat is a bad one, I will try to attend more often.

I have only been here a few times to watch the UK Womens Volleyball games. The facility is semi…read moreold, but well maintained. Parking is a bit of a sticky wicket around these parts as well. If you are going there to an event, I suggest to get there early to find a decent parking spot. The home side of the bleachers has wooden seats with backs. The visiting side not so much, just a long bench seating with no backs. The AC in this facility does not exist. Instead they use 4 Big Ass Fans (not being dirty...that is the name of the company). So if you are going in the summer, dress appropriate. The lay out of the facility still makes sense to this day and the restrooms and concession stand are usually clean. Please note that most of the events you go to see here will have a ticket purchase required. The tickets can be bought a head of time or at the doors. It is to the left of the entrance. The parking lot was very close to the stadium, even the overflow parking lot was not a very far walk. Once inside the gates, there a numerous outside food vendors with their own products for sale, a play area for children, a smaller soccer pitch for anyone to practice if they desire, and a nice layout design for the stadium. The game was so much fun to watch! I know the team is still in its infancy stage (approximately 3 years old), and I imagine as it continues to progress more fans will venture to the matches. I look forward to returning for another match!

They go to great lengths to provide a wide range of performances and options. Today, we saw The Lexington Theatre's production of Les Miserables and the local performers absolutely knocked it out of the park! To be honest, when we went, my expectations were kind of low since it was a local theatre company, but their talent and production of this show was absolutely amazing! It was just as good as what I have seen at other venues! The acoustics are very good and the building has such a rich history! Don't miss this downtown Lexington gem!

This is a great venue for concerts with fantastic acoustics. Its capacity is around 1,000, so it feels intimate and not a bad seat in the house. This is a very cool historic building in downtown Lexington. They have some neat memorabilia throughout the building. I suggest checking it out for a concert or play.

There were food vendors, merchandise vendors, and a musician who played for the first part of the festival. There was even a segment when any individual could share their reason for being in attendance. Some folks dressed up while others attended casually, yet everyone seemed welcoming to all others in attendance. Watching the sun set over the lake, then placing the water lanterns in the lake, seeing all the lights on the water was very calming and comforting. I plan on attending future Water Lantern Festival ceremonies in the future, and taking my family along with me to enjoy the experience as well

What a unique event and so much fun…read more I'm only removing one star because the venue did not have a good speaker or sound system, so from where we were sitting we couldn't hear instructions or prize drawings. The Kentucky horse park venue is beautiful and I was able to park right up front when I arrived just a little early. I collected my bag with lantern kit, cards, and marker - but I brought a bag of multi colored markers of my own for decorating. There were a few vendors and food trucks. I'd like to see a couple more food truck options (I'm looking at you cousins Maine lobster and auntie Anne's). We set up a blanket and our chairs and had a good time walking around then decorating the lanterns. When it was time to release the lantern, we couldn't hear the announcements so the people around us were all a little confused on what we were supposed to be doing. But we just went for it! I'd like to see more speakers set up around the pond so everyone could hear the announcements and a few more food truck options. I would also love to see a wider variety of vendors. There were only three or four vendors outside of the festival booth. Definitely need more food trucks to accommodate that size crowd as well. If there was a location that had bathrooms instead of Porta potties then it would be Chefs kiss Would love to do this again!
