This bread had crust too. It was soft and flavorful with an excellent texture. I think it's made with buckwheat, and had a bit of a sweet hint to it. The bacon was plentiful, thick, and a nice mix of crispy and meaty. I didn't want this sandwich to end. My husband got the same sandwich but on a Kaiser roll and loved it as well. The bakery itself was cozy and had a lot of options for freshly baked bread, croissants, and pastries. They had a full coffee bar with lots of options as well. I like that they have a station set up where you can add any type of milk or sweetener you want, as well as condiments, plasticware, to-go bags and more. And for dessert, I got a GF brownie to go...it was phenomenal. Big, moist, delicious, and had a layer of chocolate fudge and chunks on top. That response rubbed me the wrong way. In today's economy, that kind of cold and transactional reply from a small business I've supported feels off-putting and greedy. On top of that, I tried a "tiramisu cookie" that had no coffee flavor, no mascarpone, nothing that even remotely resembled tiramisu. It tasted like a plain sugar cookie, and honestly, it felt like false advertising. If you're going to market something as tiramisu, it should at least reflect the flavors of what you're promising. Between that and the secretive dressing situation, I can't help but question whether the dressing is even homemade--or if it's just bottled and marked up. These experiences have made me lose trust in the brand and what it claims to represent. I won't be returning.
