They started the school just with the little ones, at the previous location (where we currently attend,) just behind Edgewater. There is also a Young Children's Community, for the under 3 crowd. A beautiful new campus is being built at this new location (Center Ave,) where we will all transfer in the Fall. Next year (2018/19,) they are accepting students through 4th grade, and each year they will extend through a higher grade level. (It doesn't suck to know we won't need to go through the school selection process all over again for Kindergarten.) When selecting a preschool, I was hesitant about enrolling my child for 5 full days, but it has just been the best for him. I really love the Montessori model, that children drive their own learning by whatever is engaging them most on a particular day, and that the children (even at an older age level,) get to move around the classroom throughout the day; their is no possibility of stagnating. At the Primary level my son attends, 3 through 6 year olds are all in the same classroom, which I think is fantastic; not only can younger ones look up to and learn from bigger kids, but I think the bigger kids can learn leadership in the same respect. The teachers are great: all thoughtful, warm, caring and great with the kids. At this new campus, students will also be able to tend vegetables and grow food for the school, which I love. And among the best things? It is a free open enrollment JeffCo school. As such, anyone, in any school district can apply without it affecting their enrollment or waitlist status at another school. When I first took a tour of the classroom (at the existing campus,) I was sold. I highly recommend you take a tour yourself if you are considering a new school for your child.

We have had exceptional experiences with both the threes and fours teachers and the administrative staff. We get feedback each day regarding how our kiddo does and an opponent to collaborate on approaches to support development. The facilities at the Glennon Heights location are particularly excellent with lots of room to run and explore. The cost is also very competitive considering all meals are provided, the hours are flexible, and the curriculum used. Would definitely recommend.

She has friends there and the teachers teacher very well. Basic discipline is enforced and the kids definitely don't rule the teachers. I see no signs of crazy wokeness and politics is left at the door. Which is an absolute deal killer for us. The price is reasonable for the level of care the children get there. The security is also solid and the process of coming in and leaving with children is highly regulated. My sister and I feel very safe leaving her there. We both highly recommend this daycare/school.

I stumbled upon Inspiration Preschool and I immediately took my 3 year old son out of the school he was in and enrolled him at Inspiration. The staff is lovely, friendly, warm and inspiring. The setting is quaint, warm and bright. When you walk in, it is just a wonderful place to be, and you know it. After one week of being at this school, my son, who was not interested in learning his ABC's and 123's comes home singing every day. He is interested in learning and engaging, where, he was not before. When I pick him up at night, he doesn't want to leave. When he was at the other schools, he was crying before I even picked him up, every single day - and never wanted to go to school. Now, he gets up before ME in the morning, gets himself dressed, and lines up by the door... saying "Take me to school Mommy!" I am so thrilled to have found this wonderful school and my son will be here until he moves into Kindergarten. It has a family feeling and a very supportive culture. I could not be happier.

We went through 2 other daycare providers before we found Inspiration Preschool - an in home…read moredaycare and a nanny share - finally we can stop looking. Let's face it, the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence, and no daycare is really going to be good enough for your first child. Or can it be? Inspiration Preschool answered that question with a resounding YES for us. As soon as we found IP and our daughter was old enough (must be at least 2.5 years old), we took her out of the nanny share and enrolled her at Inspiration. It's a small "school" with a nice backyard. I put school in quotes because really, it's daycare but very much in a learning environment. During the regular school year, each month is a different learning focus. For example, they focused on rainbows and colors in April, things that grow in May. There is a reading area, too, with tons of books to suit the ages of the children. The kids learn lots of songs, too. I was so pleasantly surprised when my daughter came home from school and taught me songs that they sung that day. They learn the alphabet, counting, days of the week, the calendar...the list goes on. So yeah, it's a "school", and my daughter gets good care, too. All of the staff is top notch. You can see the love and care they have for all of the kids on each teacher's face. Inspiration isn't just teachers, either. it's a community where parents not only know each teacher, but they know every child that goes there and every parent of those children. Everyone gets together on occasion through events put on by the school and/or other families. They even recently did a field trip to The Children's Museum! The main thing that I love about Inspiration is that the kids play outside, at least twice a day, EVERY day. It doesn't matter what the weather is (well, within reason of course), they go outside and expend that energy that only 2.5 - 5 year olds have in spades. The backyard is so conducive to this, too. There are 5 -7 different areas back there where the kids can get their play on. My favorite is the musical area that features pots & pans to make "music" with and a big chime set that the kids can hit with various kitchen utensils. My daughter now looks forward to school everyday that she goes, and even asks if she is going to school on weekends. When we pick her up, she doesn't want to leave. He is passionate, caring, and doesn't put up with nonsense :-) He is also very flexible with parents' times and understand when you run late to pick up your kiddo, or have last minute reschedule needs. When he opened his own pre/after school care, it was no brainer for us to sign up both boys with Small Characters. The school has been very successful and extremely popular. There is a very nice atmosphere, enjoyment, and yet Andrew and his staff keep their authority with the kids. Also, they have just opened another location for a preschool. Highly recommend the place for anyone!
