When I asked how much my out of pocket would be for a crown after the insurance paid they give a number. They made it sound like they were giving me deal. I had two two other crowns done. Same type of crown but different prices. This was the email sent to them :) . There two emails sent to Kyris as well as message was to call me . Never did. Upon further review, however, Delta Dental identified two instances in which I was overcharged for crowns: On or around July 7, 2023, I was charged $565 under Code D2749 for a Cerecified Crown post. On or around June 30, 2023, I was charged $775 for another crown. Based on the $250 maximum out-of-pocket amount, this results in an overpayment of $870. Avoid this place. They act like a sketchy auto repair shop trying to find things to up-charge that aren't covered by insurance. Staff was nice and facility was clean but that's the only positive thing to say. No matter how good your teeth are, they push the gum cleaning treatment that isn't covered by the insurance and want "routine maintenance" cleanings every 3 months. When I say push I mean PUSH. If you show any hesitation, they try and guilt you into thinking your teeth will fall out if you don't. They gave my wife the same treatment and she's never had a cavity. Looking at the other reviews, it seems to be a common practice. I had done this treatment about 4 years ago and it was about $150 out of pocket bc insurance wouldn't cover it. I came back today to have my teeth cleaned so I took X-rays and they said I had no new cavities. Find out that the hygienist called out after X-rays and won't be getting my teeth cleaned. But Dr Vu made sure to come in and push the same stupid gum treatment plan with 3 month checkups but now instead of $150 out of pocket, it would be $600. They also tried to push some mouth cancer treatment screening too (also not covered by insurance). I pushed back saying I just want what my insurance covers and after a back and forth, she said "if you don't want to do the treatments, then this location isn't for you. ". She's got that right!! This dentist is one of the worst I've ever been to. They told me I needed a root canal, full crown, and four partial crowns on other teeth. After insurance I was quoted nearly $5,000 for this work. I knew it must be incorrect so I went to a different dentist for a second opinion where they told me I needed just the root canal and crown, and that I had no other cavities. On top of this, I took the treatment plan given to me by Clermont Smiles and called my insurance, who informed me that they were overcharging me by almost DOUBLE. Worst dentist ever. I went here after moving to the area about 18 months ago for a cleaning. Had no complaints. They did X-rays and said I need a tooth scaling and had a cavity. I'm 45 and have had one cavity ever. So instead of cleaning my teeth they want to take care of the cavity, again no pain whatsoever. Against my better judgment I said ok. They drilled my tooth out like the root was rotten, then put so much filling it they had to sand it off for like 10 minutes. They didn't even clean my teeth which is what I came for. Now 18 months later this tooth hurts regularly. I think they were trying to set me up for a crown. I think they are scandalous scam artists. read more

This is my personal experience with this facility. I went to the dental office and had a periodontal maintenance performed by the hygienist, plus fluoride varnish applied by the dentist. On May 29, 2023, I received a copy of the claim submitted for dental benefits at a cost of $277.00. The dental office stated I had 4 bitewings, had radiographic images taken and a diagnostic performed. All of this was made up, FRAUD-to deceive the insurance company and me with the intend to result in financial gain for the organization and the dentist. (this was no mistake, as I personally went down to the office and spoke with office personal about not having these services performed) They were confronted by the insurance company to produce the bitewings and radiographic images and were unable to do so --as they DID NOT EXIST. People, check your statements, something funny is going on here. read more

I paid in full on my visits. I got a bill a month later for $1,000. I checked my insurance and found that they owe me $700. They are dragging their feet and don't seem too interested in doing the right thing. If I had not checked, I would have lost $1700. I dont know if its shady con work or gross incompetence. Everyone was nice while I was there, but it takes it all away to have something like this happen. I'm having to stay on them in the hope I'll get my money back. Absolutely amazing. The best dentists office in Florida and I am so happy to have found this place. The best customer service from every person in the office!! Especially Brandon, Angie, the kind woman with short hair who was my nurse, and Dr. Vu was super super kind and made sure I was comfortable and not stressed about my upcoming extractions! Beyond great staff and experience from everyone at the establishment. I'd definitely recommend! I have to get my wisdom teeth out soon too and I was really nervous until Brandon helped ease my anxiety! This is probably my favorite dentist office by far! I will definitely be here in the future for yearly cleanings. Every single staff was patient with my questions and assisted me to the best of their ability. I'm usually so uncomfortable and nervous walking into a dentist office but this place made me feel calm. Alanis, my dentist's assistant, made me feel so welcome and comfortable. She explained the procedure to me and made sure I was fully set and satisfied before she left, which I really appreciated because we got along. I was sooooo hoping this wouldn't be one of those chains that are like Aspen and Greenburg, but they are. Sadly. The people were nice enough but not for me. Have you heard of the offices that require you to do the deep cleanings every 3 months that aren't covered by insurance or they won't treat you? Yep, this is one. The x-rays didn't even show my entire tooth on many of them. She seemed to be struggling with the process on both myself and on my daughter several days before. I was told I had a cavity that was hard to see on the X-ray but didn't know if it would need a filling, a crown or a root canal and I wouldn't know until she got in there. What???? Oh, I had a cleaning schedule with the hygienist only to learn at the appointment that she wasn't there. Instead the dentist would clean my teeth and the assistant that took the x-rays would floss and polish. I don't know if the tech had ever done that before because it was the least gentle thing ever. In fact, it would have been like letting anyone else floss my teeth for me. Bizarre experience. Time to pay and I was going to be charged a copay for my X-rays and my cleaning that I should have. Luckily I was persistent and started looking on my phone to push the issue further and he did call and yep, I was correct, no copay. I struggled looking for a place that took my insurance and even with my insurance not covering 100% they were able to work around the gaps and help me out with a promotion and even payments options. Never had I gone to a dentist and was told I needed procedures and services that I know I did not need. I moved back to the area and needed a new dentist and just needed a cleaning as I saw my previous dentist within the last 6 months. They are like bad car salesmen trying to get you for services that you do not need.. in addition they kept trying to push a deep cleaning instead of a normal cleaning that would have cost hundreds of dollars out of pocket. In addition, after my x-rays, it took an hour for the dentist to come into the room just to probe my teeth and tell me I needed all these additional things that I knew I didn't and kept pushing for me to get the treatments done same day. This office tired to rip me off saying I had such bad gum disease that I needed laser treatments, multiple deep cleanings and to see the Periodontists. Considering I see the dentist every year I knew this was a bunch of crap. I only changed to a new Dentist because I was tired of how long I had to wait at my last Dentist not because they were bad. I found another Dentist and got checked again. I did not bad gum disease just as I knew. I had two teeth that needed a deep cleaning. This is a great group of people and the dentist is tops! Everyone is so friendly and helpful. I skipped seeing my regular dentist because I moved and it was too far to travel. It had been a year since seeing a dentist and decided to give Clermont Smiles a try. Their new patient exam was very thorough and I received a great cleaning. Yes, they wanted me to do the deep cleaning, which I had never done before and wanted me to come back every 3 months for another cleaning. I didn't object because after all I had not been to the dentist in a year. Before I left that day, 2 follow up appointments were booked. The deep cleaning made my mouth feel extremely clean and my smile renewed. In three months I went back and received a regular cleaning, not the deep cleaning, because the hygienist said I didn't need one. My next appointment was booked for three months after that and she said I would be able to just come twice a year for regular cleanings instead of every 3 months. We tried to change the appointment but since it falls during the holidays, it was impossible to change to a date and time that worked for me. Overall, I am happy they were honest! I was afraid I would find a place that would "find" problems that needed correction just to drum up business. This ISN'T that kind of place! It's a very good experience for anyone who has been putting off going to the dentist. They do genuinely care for their patients and are very friendly and helpful. read more

I have never been treated so badly in any business. I made my first appointment to get my teeth cleaned at Clermont Smiles Dentistry. I informed them a week in advance that I had just overcome the flu, a week earlier I was still coughing. The day of the appointment I was taken back and had all my x-rays done with no issues. I cleared my throat when it was convenient. After the x-rays the dentist came in and advised me on my treatment options. I was placed in a room for one hour waiting for my cleaning. After an hour the dentist came in and advised me they were not going to do my cleaning because I was coughing. They made another appointment for me two weeks later. A nice gentleman called to tell me that I need a deep tissue cleaning that would run me $500 after my two different Dental insurances payments. I advised him let me get the normal cleaning and we can do the deep clean at a later date. My next appointment I came in and they had me down for a deep cleaning and two crowns to be replaced. Again I said I would schedule that a later date and they said it would be another 30 minutes for the hygienist to get to me. After an hour I was taken into the back room by the hygienist and was advised she would not do the cleaning because the Dentist said I had to get the deep cleaning. I said I would at least like to have my teeth cleaned and polished but the business refused. I gave them two chances but I am sorry to have to write this review. I would not recommend this business to anyone. I don't know if it was the money they wanted but I can see why they refused to do the preventive maintenance my two insurances pay for. After reading other reviews it seems this company does everything it can to up sell for a deep cleaning to the point where they would rather see you walk out then get the basic care. read more

By far the best dentist office in Clermont. I had an emergency root canal that needed doing last year and they were there for me with no insurance and gave me a great price and put me on a payment plan that was affordable. And most important I was basically pain free during the whole process. Very smooth and efficient all the staff and dentists were professional and made me feel really comfortable. The office is very clean and nice. However I lost a cap from a 22 year old root canal, which they didn't do, and were able to fit me in immediately to fix it and instead of pressuring me to spend more money gave me options for my treatment and told me the truth about each option instead of just selling me the most expensive thing they have to offer. They are booked up months in advance so that must mean I'm not the only one impressed with the work staff and location. But they will work with you insurance or not and fit you in as timely as they can. Even if I move to Alaska I'll fly back for a regular cleaning and check up. They are worth it ten fold!! I paid about 100.00 for an emergency cap replacement with X-rays and all. And NO insurance. They literally are the BEST!! I'd mention everyone who looked after me but it's pointless, the whole staff is just amazing. Doesn't matter who they are they are all the best. My family has had two poor experiences at your clinic. The first experience concerns the bedside manner of the staff. It is not what I expect of a medical facility. Procedures were not fully explained. The care being received was passed from one staff member to the next without any explanation. The second bad experience was today when my appointment was cancelled without being notified. Under normal circumstances I wouldn't be upset. I understand it is a unique situation with Covid-19. However, I am upset with the unapologetic and matter-of-fact nature of the receptionist. I would expect more from a Clermont business. I expected an explanation as to why my appointment was cancelled, an apology for the inconvenience, and a new appointment date. Instead, I received a curt response of "you should have been notified" from the employee. I will be taking my business elsewhere. I needed a new doctor, so I wanted to try Smiles out at Clermont. The office location was perfect. I found it with no problem. And as I approached the door, the receptionist was friendly. Me expecting, was very nervous to get teeth cleaned, but Dr. Vu and the Assistant were very friendly and made me and my baby feel safe. The office was very clean and everyone overall was friendly and accommodating. Ryan, the operations manager made sure I had all the costs at hand before making the next decision. I went to this dentist for the first time in two years since my other insurance had a certain age limit. I went to Clermont Smiles Dentistry and the lady who took my x-rays was very nice and told me I had beautiful teeth. Granted I've only had one cavity in my whole life and when I was little I went to the dentist in the military hospital. When the doctor came and checked out my mouth, she said I had gingivitis. I brush my teeth everyday and I use Listerine as well as flossing my teeth. How can the nurse tell me my teeth is beautiful and then the doctor says I needed a 3 month treatment?? AND IT wasn't even going to be covered by my insurance. I would have had to pay $160 out of pocket. I came in to get a cleaning done. All they wanted was money since they just started in Clermont. I left right away and didn't turn back. They took me right away. They didn't have any other costumers except for this little kid who wouldn't stop crying. And the nurse was complaining to me about the kid not stop crying which in result had me waiting longer. Patient confidentiality? I think not. AVOID THIS PLACE. read more

Brand new state of the art facility, everyone in the office was extremely professional, friendly, and kind. Dr. Vu took the time to explain what is needed. I was given an estimate of 1,700 dollars for a bridge, root canal fill in , one tooth pulled with insurance too.. So a week later after setting my appointment the first thing is i got my tooth pulled out.. I was told that for the tooth alone to be extracted it would be 30 dollars with insurance. After i had my tooth pulled out which it didn't take long they told me that hey had to do a certain procedure before they stitched me back up called a bone cement because my tooth had a deep root in my sinus and it created a large hole so they had to put bone cement in there. They did not even mention that to me before the extraction that it may happen so that way i can contact the insurance company to see if they can cover that. After the procedure i had to pay an additional $750.00 plus the 30 dollars so a total of 780.00 just for one tooth to be pulled out.. I am on disability and i think its wrong on how they didn't communicate with me and this is lousy to pay 780 dollars for a dam tooth to be pulled out.. RIP off. And the estimate went from 1,700 to 1,900 in one week?? so far then my work would have cost 2,650 not 1,700 ... thank you for taking advantage of me as a disabled person read more
