Kudu's to the dental hygienist named Lady. I have artificial joints and Lady asked if I had taken the anti-biotics I am supposed to take before dental work. I had not so Lady gave me the proper dosage in the office, at no charge. Also, I have a very active (easily triggered) gag reflex. Lady was very patient with me, pausing her work every time I gagged. My gagging was not her fault - I can tell when a dental professional is careless or not. Lady is NOT careless. On the contrary, Lady is very thorough, careful, and caring. read more

I consider this kind of a preliminary review as I am new to this dentist and have only been there twice so far. My first visit was about a broken tooth which partially came out before the appointment even happened. When I went in they did a full round of checking things out and x-rays. It was determined that the rest of the two should come out and there is quite a lot of work that they are recommending for me. I was fully aware that I am in need of at the very least some type of a partial if not getting to the point of dentures. The dentist did recommend that six of my other teeth should be pulled along with the broken one. I have had a lot of issues in more recent years with teeth that have broken because of problems through my life and medications that I take. They were supposed to get me a breakdown of everything that needed to be done and I never received it. I spent roughly 2 months between appointments because I got sick several days after my first appointment and over the last 2 months I was sick for roughly a month of that. Now that I'm feeling healthier it was time to get in. I called them and left a message a few times before someone got back to me to set the appointment but I was able to get in fairly quickly. I went in a couple of days ago and everything went very smoothly. I was taken in at roughly my appointed time and they went over my information and started getting everything ready so when the dentist came in they could get started on me. Everything was very efficient. The dentist came in and explained everything to me that they were going to do. First they applied a topical that from my point of view tasted awful as it was like bubble gum. Several minutes later they came back and did the injections. For me this is the worst part but the topical really did its job and the needles weren't as bad as they used to be. They gave me about 10 minutes before they came back to see if I was ready to go, and I was. She explained the usual things like I'm going to feel pressure and I may hear cracking and pieces of tooth may come off. I'm used to this type of thing. They went in and worked on it and seemed to struggle a little bit with getting everything out and apparently had to remove a little bit of bone along the way. Once everything was done I was advised that there could be some shards of tooth or bone that could have been in there that might work their way out over time. I was told not to worry about it and if I noticed any I could either see if they come out of my own or let them know and they'd have me come in and take care of it. The two days of soft food is quite honestly the worst part of it for me but I've made it beyond that and I don't have a lot of pain anymore and everything seems to look pretty good. While I was there I told them I never received the paperwork and the dentist went and talked to the office manager about it. I was assured that I will receive it an email and we had the information that they would be able to do the temporary partial with a co-pay to me of only $66 if I wanted. I was told the permanent one could be done in 6 months after all the healing and settling was done. For that price I scheduled the appointment and I was just glad that I have insurance to cover much of this these days. I will be back on Friday to get that taken care of. I'm hoping for ongoing quality service from this place. And also I'm hoping to get my paperwork. read more

I first went in to aspen dental in clermont for a reline of my denture. The reline did not work and the reason they gave me was my denture was too old to be relined properly. So, i foolishly agreed to a new denture at a very slight discount. At this point the new denture has little suction and is not much better than my old denture. To top it off , when i ask for an ajustment for the new denture, i have to wait two weeks to get in to see the dentist. Aspen dental advertises a money back gurrantee but i dought it. read more

Office staff is friendly. Clean environment. * Down side(s) - They don't do a routine cleaning on the same day as your X-Rays & Exam, making this a 2 appointments deal which is a waste of time. Be prepared to pay for your entire service balance up front for services that you schedule in the future. I was told they do not have a cancellation policy in place so this was the reason why they collect full payment in advance. It seems backwards to me; I can understand a deposit or card on file but this is not how I prefer to do business. * To add - Their prices were a bit more expensive than what I typically have paid in the past with dental insurance. read more

They told me they couldn't get a hold of my insurance, so they made me pay out of pocket before my cleaning- almost $300. When I was leaving they said they finally got a hold of my insurance and they will reimburse me. That was early April 2023 it is now August. I've called corporate no less that 10 times and they keep telling me I have to be patient. I even brought in a lawyer- they don't care. Utter BS. They got paid twice and will come up with every excuse not to reimburse me. read more

If I could give zero stars for the customer service, or lack thereof, of this office then I would. This office is impossible to reach, even as an existing patient with a dental issue. I finally reached someone in another location who could connect me to a live person. She was not helpful as I had to end up seeking care from an another provider. I was unable to schedule an appt with aspen dental because the office needed to research my "history" and their systems are down for weeks, possibly months at this point. I left a message and asked for an office manager to return my call. No call was ever made leaving me hanging to figure out how to correct the dental issue I have. Alex the hygienist is amazing. He explains things so well, really cares that you know what's going on in your mouth, and is so very personable! I never felt even a little bit judged by him despite having some serious gross tartar that he yanked out. He even showed me, and since im a visual person, this really helps me to understand how bad things were before he cleaned my bad boys up. His encouragement truly makes me want to do better by him and pick up on my flossing frequency so that I can make him proud at our next visit! THANK YOU ALEX! Also, it's definitely worth noting that if he religiously brushes his own dogs teeth - you can trust him to take care of yours! This location is impossible to get a hold of. I've tried for weeks. I have left messages with no return call and now their voicemail box is full for over a couple weeks. I have however spoke to someone on two different occasions to see if my insurance would accept the procedure needed and I was supposed to get a call back so they can check and here I am still waiting 2 months now for a call. We were sent to Aspen by our HMO insurance family plan. Aspen is not a family dentist, they do not see young children of early elementary school age. They refer out to a pediatric dentist for my elementary school child. This was disappointing. The first two dentist were very good, took the time to explain the x ray and the why of plan. Since then it's been a revolving door of just ok dentists. The only constant has been Dave the dental hygienist, he is very good. He uses a device that vibrates and sprays water to clean teeth and it works very well, teeth feel smooth and it removes tea stains from behind my front teeth. He encourages good gum health, told me not to brush my teeth as hard as I do. (Based on that I purchased a water pick to see if I could get my gums healthier. I am happy to report the water pick has improved my gum health! I no longer bleed during dental exams!!) Most visits you only deal with the X-ray person and the hygienist. Aspen is very booked out for cleanings. In the past two years we have only been able to get one cleaning per year for our older children due to aspen cancelling for new dentist and their new hours. read more

I had a terrible infection in my cracked molar and was so nervous about going to get it pulled but my dentist Eden was wonderful she and her staff made me feel so comfortable and she was so delicate during the tooth extraction I didn't even know the tooth was out till she told me. These lovely workers make your anxiety go away with their kindness and I would definitely recommend anyone to come here! Every person was friendly and so kind I'd give 10 stars for my experience! Today was my first time ever stepping foot in a aspen. The front desk ladies were friendly. The x ray tech Bree that did my x rays is phenomenal, I usually hate getting these done just because the aggravation in the mouth but she made it almost painless. She was very patient. I even over heard the doctor say what wonderful scans she had. Thank you Bree. And thank you aspen. Very reasonable priced and offered payment plans as well. Worst than bad billing. $700.00 paid for "in network covered services". I asked 3 times if they were in network 100%. Then they took me in, charged because they lied before I sat in the chair. The employees that lied are no longer and no person at Aspen Dental seems to care. read more

I wish I could have gotten the services I requested from this office. But charismatic employees don't fix teeth. I waited 2 weeks for my new patient exam and dental cleaning. After acknowledging two reminders of my upcoming appointment I further received a voicemail message asking me to call the dental office without any other amplifying information. When I was able to return the call, I was told that the dentist would not be available so I had to wait an additional week for the next available appointment. Upon signing for my appointment I was advised that I would be charged a $30 cancer screening fee that "all new patients receive at that office" and that the screening would be explained further by the dental hygienist. Already I was concerned by the "all new patients" explanation as if this optional service was mandatory because I knew my insurance covered x-rays and cleaning. After receiving x-rays, 3-d imaging, a uv light exam to check for cancer, and a periodontal probe (to check for gingivitis), the hygienist told me I would need a periodontal cleaning, or "deep" cleaning, rather than the usual dental cleaning (this is also not covered under insurance). I was seen by the dentist for 10 minutes. She recommended a new filling, replacing all my old fillings and teeth alignment. Then I was moved to a separate waiting room to review my "patient treatment plan" by the billing department. After waiting an additional 30 min., making my visit one hour and 15 min (without the cleaning I made an appointment for) I was ushered to the billing desk. I was told that I was "in luck" and there was availability for me to get a cleaning today. I explained to the clerk that I made an appointment for a dental exam and cleaning and had not received what I had come for thus far. I explained that I wasn't interested in reviewing additional services and I could not afford to spend more time at the dental office any longer. I asked for a copy of my dental exam and my images. The attendant told me that they could only be retrieved through corporate and I signed a release. At this point I have received only my x-rays and no dental exam write up. I am hoping that I will not have to pay out of pocket for a dental exam and cleaning at an alternative dental office. read more

I made this appointment 6 months ago and yet when I get there 15 minutes before my appointment I am still not seen until almost 30 minutes after my appointment time. My time is valuable and I do not want it wasted waiting when I have an appointment time. I would appreciate it if the office was just honest and explain they were running behind and or even offer to reschedule. The practice of doing this (keeping people waiting with no notice) makes your office appear very unprofessional no matter how nice the staff is. And the staff is super nice while robbing you for service you didn't ask for or discuss prior to the Dental hygienist starting work. $30 for fluoride I never asked for or was ever offered or told the cost ahead of time. I had a dental emergency and after reading reviews called the Aspen location nearest me. They could not get me in today but their system allowed them to get me an appointment at this location (Clermont) same day. I enjoyed the cohesiveness and that I did not have to call around. At the Clermont location the staff was incredibly friendly and had great bedside manner as well as being very skilled in ensuring I understood what was happening, what I needed and why. From beginning to end and even though I was in a good deal of pain, it was a very good experience. Would ABSOLUTELY recommend. read more

The dentists are pretty good here but they have terrible customer service. I got to my appointment 15 minutes early like I was supposed to, and watched as not one, but TWO individuals who came in after me get taken in first. It's currently 15 minutes after my appointment was scheduled, I've been sitting here for a half hour now and I'm still waiting to be seen... Moral of the story: don't go here if you have plans for the rest of your day because you're going to be spending a lot of time in their reception area. read more

The office is clean and the staff is very friendly, overall the experience was good, but there was a very long wait, they told me to get there at 2, nobody saw me until around 2:30, and the hygienist told me she was giving me a name for a mouthwash and toothpaste for gengivites that I never got, so I called back to find out, they said they would call me back and it's been 2 days.... this little things bother me, I'd love to be treated with respect and at least get a call back. We'll see how the next appointment goes. UPDATE 3/1/17: DO NOT GO THERE!!!!! I had an appointment today for a cavity, they called me earlier in the afternoon to say they wanted me in earlier than my appointment time, when I called back, they just told me to go at the regular time, then an hour later they called me again asking me to go half an hour earlier, but I didn't get the message. I was there on time. Didn't get seen until almost an hour later, the dentist looked at my tooth for 30 seconds and told me I had to come back a different day for the filling. I asked if the filling couldn't be done today, her answer was, no, we close in 10 minutes. Then I told her I was there for almost an hour and she took less than a minute to look at me and it wasn't right. After some push back she did the filling in less than 10 minutes. This office is completely ridiculous. Today my husband had a 10am dental appt and apparently so did four other people. That is fine, what is not fine is the staff never showed up. He told me they all waited for 30 minutes and gave up. This is actually the second time my husband has had an appt with this office and no staff showed up. Their complete lack of regard for a patient's time is unacceptable. People take off work to get their dental appts done and then the staff has the audacity to not show up or give a curiously call to cancel appointments. FYI, their office hours for today show as opening at 10am and again, my husband and others stayed until 10:30am and no one showed up. No cars in the back to indicate any employees were there at all. I had paid to have my wisdom teeth removed using a numbing shot and waited about a month to get in with the doctor and after I was in the chair ready to go, the doctor walks in and refuses to remove my teeth unless I pay for anesthesia. He also kept trying to force me to get all four teeth removed when only two were causing any issues. This office is full of crooks and all they wanted from me was my money. read more

ASPEN IS RIPPING PEOPLE OFF!!! After my exam they proceeded to tell me I was on my way to gum disease and tied slapping me with over $1000 bill of work I needed to be done. They refused to clean my teeth until I had the work done. The checkout lady was rude. I got my X-rays and found another dentist. Being I never have had any problems with my teeth I knew something was wrong with this picture. When visiting my new dentist they cleaned my teeth and told me everything looked great. DO NOT GO HERE. THERE ARE PLENTY OF OFFICES IN CLERMONT WITH BETTER SERVICES THAN THEM I had the worst experience at this office. As a new patient a schedule my appointment for 12 noon. I made sure I filled all patient forms as their email instructed. The day of my appointment, the receptionist made me wait 30 minutes before even provided new patient forms. She admitted she was calling other patient and simple forgot. Not apologies tho. A week later a go back to start my treatment and again the receptionist ignored me. The doctor came outside and apologies for the miss communication. Today, I went back ( I mean what else can go wrong this time to take my kids to their dentist appointment. To my surprise I was told both my appointment were canceled. She stated she called me several times. Which is not true, she did not call. In fact I got reminders on my email about my appointment. And also a text saying "we can't wait to see you". At that point I left and called another dentist that was able to take care of us in a very professional way. I have to say my experience was way better than expected. Ive been there 4 times now and the first 3 were bad experiences. The auto confirmation blunders, the last second rescheduling, the odd hygeniest (turned out to be a temp). I didnt know what to expect this time. Everything was great this time! They saw me right away, Francisco the hygeniest was great, the dentist was great and the checkout woman was great. It seems they turned over most of the problem staff and improved the whole process. Clean, and prompt for our appointment. First initial visit, so X-rays and consultation was all good, detailed and staff was very friendly. When it came time to talk to the last person about the service plan, costs, insurance coverage, etc. He was very frustrating. He wouldn't listen to us, was quite confusing in trying to explain things to us, It was very frustrating - and we are trying to not let that alter our decision to use them in the future, because we really liked the location, dentist and the hygienist. read more

i called the main number to make an appointment for my son's anual cleaning at the clermont office. i told the person doing the appointment that it was for a checkup and cleaning. so i go to the appointment and get the x-rays and exam with the doctor. then they tell me i need to make another appointment to come back. wtf? you wasted my time! ive never had to do the exam and the cleaning in 2 separate appointments! i asked for an appointment for a checkup and cleaning and thats what i expected! this was complete b.s.! every other dentist i called was doing both the same day! so you think its ok to waste people's time by doubling their required appointments without disclosing that up front? tell your patients that they need 2 appointments with your operation that other dentists do in one visit. get it together! inform your patients thats the case. i was going to bring my family to this location but with this garbage i will take my son to his second visit and never be back. waste somebody elses time!!!!!!! Update 4-3 cleaning visit. Told the receptionist about not being happy about 2 separate visits for a simple cleaning and that they should train the people that take the call thats the case and inform patients. Everything was going great till I was out of the chair.. Not only are they over priced, they refused to work on me unless I bought a $50.00 mouth wash & toothpaste & used it for a week before they can help me. Then when I asked for the name of the toothpaste & mouthwash to see if I can get it on Amazon for a better price, they abseloutly refused to give me the name & said I either buy them there or not at all!!! It's apparent that they really don't give a crap about their patients well being & only care about making $$$$$. read more

Poor communication with scheduling and staff which resulted in a wasted visit and unnecessary time off work. In turn this resulted in poor customer service, a poor experience as a patient. Would not recommend for my family or friends. Will not refer my patients to this company. read more

The staff was very friendly. The Dr. I saw was very efficient and knowledgeable. The rooms where very clean and the staff opened sterilized equipment each time they did any procedure. The wait time was a longer than expected but I would rather a Dr.take his time than receive a rush job. read more
