Ok so boom.....I step into this overstocked corner store and I just knew I was in the wrong place for food. But the cashier greeted me immediately and gave me a menu!! Let's just say....feed me out the back of the corner store any day! I ordered lamb kababs with hummus and rice! Lamb was so well seasoned! I loved the added banana peppers and jalapeños! The hummus was so tasty and fresh and the rice was just as good. I'll definitely be back. Authentic food!

Decent food but the prices shown online are not real. We ordered $51 worth of food and were given a bill of $67 instead. Decent meat stuffed Grape leaves, salad and sautéed vegetable platter were also good. The foul madames was tasty but a bit overly salty. So overall not bad but the price change from what is shown online is not cool. I'd give it 3.5 stars but this is only allowing 3.

Take-Out/Uber Eats at Midnight. Gyro meat was very tender and flavorful. The rice and hummus very bland. Portion size was good. Overall, sub par Mediterranean food.

Our experience this time was just incredibly disappointing which sucks because I loved Cleo's, literally went twice in 1 visit last time. I even had great banter with the guy behind the counter! Now there's a young man with a strange little tude. The girl was a sweetheart though. Unfortunate but time has changed a lot here. :(

Located on Canal near The Roosevelt hotel and the Orpheum theater. This is a restaurant that also sells candy, snacks, and drinks. They're open 24/7, something very helpful for people living in the area and the late-night folks. Currently take out only. I got lentil soup and baklava to go. Unlike some other restaurants I've been that had it on the menu, Cleo's was not out of baklava, so they earned points from me just for that. The baklava was maybe not quite as "juicy" as some I've had, but it wasn't dry and still tasted good, so I would order it again. Their lentil soup is thick, smooth, and delicious. And their prices don't make my wallet weep. Are there downsides? Sure. Most notable is that it felt kinda dark and crowded with stuff inside. But considering I was just getting food to-go, that didn't really bother me. I enjoyed my food and would order it again if I was in the area.

So I admit... I got this meal delivered and this is often the case when you're not dining in, but it was kinda terrible. The flavors were good, but for what I paid, the portions were sad, and the textures weren't great either. It IS possible to deliver falafel that is still edible on arrival, as I have had it from other local places, but this wasn't it. It was gummy and dense, like a hockey puck, and I'm willing to bet it was not much better when it was first put in this go-box. I finished the whole thing because I was starving and drunk, but I didn't enjoy it much, and ended up feeling kinda cheated and bummed out after having spent... wait for it... $38!!... on what was not a very filling meal. I even got extra pita, and definitely needed it. Anyway, I will give them a go some other time without doing the delivery thing, and see if they're better via takeout.

My husband and I found this hidden gem when trying to find somewhere to eat late night and boy did it hit the spot! Yes, looks can be deceiving but the food...chef's kiss!! You must try the red snapper and shrimp, it was so flavorful and delicious. Not your regular plate you would expect, so it took me by surprise but I have been craving it since I left NOLA!!!!

Coolest folks, immigrant-owned business, I can actually see their store from my window at the Ritz-Carlton New Orleans. Late night, hubby and I landed late, the only thing was opened then. This young black cashier girl was so welcomed us in, she is talkative but polite and knows how recommend food or (upswell) which is good! We enjoyed her company while waited for our food to be made, the swarmy chicken plate and lamb wrap, both were yummy. Next night I came back for more food. This time Tikka chicken and that basmati rice with spices. Love it! Met the owner, he's a cool dude, he hustles, watching him work reminded me of my immigrant self, first generation, I work every day since I came to this country. Even now, I don't take a day off unless I'm in the hospital which was a few trips HA. #MoneyNeverSleeps right as Wall Street movie said! Love their varieties of drinks, noodles, candies, snacks as you have seen at Daiso or a Japanese store, or only in California. I'm impressed :-) bought some Pho Noddle Bowl to go HA, I'm so Vietnamese (and damn proud every bit of it)! I'll come back before I leave New Orleans again, supporting these folks. BTW, they open 10 AM - 5 AM, not 24/7, FYI! A perfect warm, freshly cook food for hangover :-)

As someone of Indian heritage who has eaten at Indian restaurants across the country and abroad, I do not offer five stars lightly. The Tandoori Chicken Tikka is the best I have ever had -- anywhere, full stop. The char is perfect, the marinade deeply fragrant, and the chicken impossibly tender. This dish alone is worth crossing the city for. The Chicken Biryani was layered and fragrant, with each component perfectly spiced yet cohesive. The Malai Gosht was rich and silky -- a quietly elegant dish that lingers on the palate. The Palak Paneer was vibrant and fresh, nothing like the heavy renditions found elsewhere. The Bullet Naan -- marketed as "eat at your own risk" -- delivered on its promise. Bold, building heat that commanded attention, but never reckless. Paired with a curry, it was outstanding. The Falooda dessert was a perfect finish: cooling, fragrant, and beautifully presented. The wine list was surprisingly decent for an Indian Restaurant. We enjoyed the Brunello! And the service -- led by Manager Aman -- was over the top in the best possible way. Warm, attentive, and genuinely invested in every guest's experience. The hospitality matched the kitchen's excellence at every turn. LuFu Nola is a must-visit. Easily the best Indian food in New Orleans.

Three food trucks were competing for my hard-earned duckies and refined palate. I go to Queen on Wheels regularly, so thought I'd try something new. There was Louisiana Seafood Catering, but the menu didn't really appeal to me. That left Sultan's. Ordering was fairly easy. They have a chalkboard like menu. Most dishes come in a bowl. I got the lamb-beef gyro small bowl. I heard other customers saying "no salad" and wondered why. Well, when I set down to eat, I realized the bowl was divided into three sections: 1/3 salad, 1/3 hummus, and 1/3 meat, with rice underneath. Certainly wasn't worth $7 in my opinion. It also came with a pita bread. I ordered fries for an additional $2. I think other customers were saying no salad because it took up precious space and could have been filled with more gyro. Not sure if that's what they do, though. I don't think they charged tax, despite using a credit card, so that was a nice feature. The fries were off the chain. I'd go back just for the fries. They were good even after they got cold. They were hot, crispy and well seasoned, not salty. I'm not sure exactly why they were good, just look like unassuming fries, but they were really good. The pita was good too, but I probably should have eaten it while it was warm. The hummus was good, but very salty. The biggest let down, other than portion size, was the gyro and rice. It was a step above Halal Guys, but I've had better. The service was friendly and fast. It was still a change from what I'd normally eat for lunch.
