We stopped into this cute bakery just on the fluke. However, we will most definitely be back again! We tried her lemon bar (delicious, crust was buttery and the perfect lemon flavor), pumpkin cake (wow just wow, didn't want to stop eating it), blueberry scone (perfect amount of blueberry, crumbly without being the wrong texture or being dry), German chocolate brownie (rich and delightful, truly need to share this or have a very strong sweet tooth). Last but not least her honey, rosemary biscuit.. she makes 9 a day and they run out within less than an hour (we order one, went back maybe 15 min later to get another and they were sold out) if you want one get there early or call the day before and order a pan for yourself... trust me it's well we'll we'll worth it! read more

Cute Bakery. They have a captivating selection of baked goods (bread puddings, French toast casserole, cookies, scones, and more). I only had the s'mores bread pudding (it was delicious, especially when warmed up). I saw a couple get a few wraps and they looked very happy with their choices. The price is not terrible but not great either, food is good, not a lot of options If you're looking for a ton of options and variety this is not the place for you. They have a small select menu of breakfast options, desert options, and lunch sandwiches. We walked out paying 30 bucks total for 2 breakfast sandwiches, and breakfast burrito, and 3 cokes. The food itself was a great portion size. I got a egg, ham and cheese biscuit. The ratio was a little off with a massive amount of egg. The ham, egg and cheese was delicious. The honey rosemary biscuits was fluffy and moist. The honey was not to sweet, which I appreciate, but made the biscuit sticky and very messy to eat. I thought the rosemary was overpowering and wished there wasn't as much. I will definitely have to come back and try their lunch sandwiches and deserts another day. read more

The best breakfast sandwich I have had in a LONG time! Cleo's croissants are just like what I had everyday while I lived in France!!! Truly a rare experience to find a fabulous, flaky, truly French croissant. The eggs and bacon must come from a local farm. Everything was delicious. We have had breakfast and lunch here a few times. Everything is delicious! We've had the breakfast sandwich in the mornings. The croissant is a bit greasy but it's warm and flaky and tastes good, the egg is cooked perfectly, as well as the bacon. We've had soups and sandwiches or wraps at lunch time. My favorite is the tomato basil soup and a grilled cheese. My boyfriend had the pumpkin soup with a wrap last time. Wrap was delicious and perfect. The pumpkin soup tasted like curry sauce which I happen to think is delicious so it all worked out. We like to sit at the counter in the window and watch the street out front. We arrived here over the weekend and ordered breakfast sandwiches. This place was recommended to me by a local of Newburgh. It's a tad on the expensive side. I ordered the breakfast burrito with salsa. As far as breakfast burritos go, the one from this bakery was decent. The ratio of egg to everything else however, was a bit overwhelming. The breakfast burrito definitely was a lot and made me full enough that I wasn't able to finish it. If I came here again, I'd have to try the ham and cheese croissant because my fiancé let me sample theirs and it tasted better than my burrito. The one thing I was initially put off by was the two salsas they provided, which one was like a pico sauce and the other was like a salsa verde. The salsa verde was much better with the burrito than the other, which pulled this review up to four stars since if I was just basing it off the half of burrito with the pico, I'd say this was a three star review. I didn't get any actual bakery goodies, but I will be inclined to stop here again and buy those if I wasn't here for fall fest ready to clog my arteries already. read more

The homemade scallion mayo on the Spirit of the Ohio sandwich, and the red onion jam on the Steak it Out sandwich are fabulous!! Office Lunch Catering: we had Cleo's in Newburgh cater brown bag lunches for 120 people a couple of weeks ago. I was looking for a deal and fresh food and they came up in my Google search. I called and talked with Jeannie the co-owner. She was so nice and flat out awesome to work with. I told her I needed it delivered 3 days from the order as close to 10:30am as possible. She showed up to the office and buzzed me at 10:29 saying she was there. She brought her sister and another owner, two cars for all those sandwiches. What amazing service and a flat out pleasure to work with. We got a mix of turkey, ham, pastrami, tuna and veggie sandwiches, chips, apple, cookie, lettuce tomato and pickles, mayo, mustard and a meal kit all for $7.50 per person plus a small delivery charge. The rye bread on the pastrami was amazing. People were complimenting the food all day. I haven't been to their store in downtown Newburgh but after this experience I have to include it in the rotation.
