Within the first few weeks after we moved in the septic backed up and I couldn't find any disturbed ground indicating they pumped them. So I dug the tank lids up only to find the solids tank was completely full of solids. I called the company and they were no help and ultimately had to pay another company to come out and pump the tanks. This is a delayed post due to forgetting but a neighbor needed their septic tank cleaned and this came up.
