After switching to the new kid in town,I took my old equipment to drop off and cancel. They relentlessly kept offering lower and lower monthly pricing each time I said no. Finally they offered a lifetime set price at 1/2 what I was paying. The offer included an increase in speed higher than the new guy and beating the price. So, I capitulated( briefly) taking the new equipment home. Turns out the entire drama would take more effort than it's worth and I told the rep," you should have offered this a year ago instead of an unannounced 30% price increase" Feels good to get rid of these guys

Part of the issue is that they keep reservations am their walk in sign in sheet separate and don't tell people it's easier to reserve online as they prioritized people that reserved. We were the top of their list for 30 minutes and when I asked someone when that had reserved and just got serviced by an attendant, he said they reserved an hour beforehand... By the time we got up there, it took less than a minute for them to take our equipment back and then said we have to cancel the service ourselves which is why we came in to do in person. Absolutely unorganized, chaotic, and poorly managed. I will say, I've had better luck with coming in late in the evening on a weekday before, so maybe that's the way to go.

Because I could never log in, I did not discover until later that I had been charged for an added phone line I never authorized, a tablet I never received, and Gateway equipment I had already returned because the reception was poor. Terrible customer service, no follow-through, and a very frustrating experience overall.

Most annoying, AT&T's so-called "Virtual Assistant" schedules stuff and dialogs with customers, but it's an outright liar. I waited for a tech one day during the 8 - 12 window Virtual Assistant gave me. Virtual Assistant kept texting me "we're late but we're on the way" for over FOUR HOURS. When it was obvious the tech did not show up, I texted "When are you coming?" Virtual Assistant answered, "We can help you with that." The next day, Virtual Assistant texted "Your repair is complete." I replied, "I don't believe you." Virtual Assistant replied (again) "We can help you with that." Total incompetence. I switched to Spectrum. After I terminated AT&T, they emailed me a "How did we do?" inquiry. I answered it, and a couple of weeks later I received the same inquiry. AT&T's downfall is its stupid automated communications. The nice thing about Spectrum is that they have live people there to answer the phone and their answers are helpful.

I was constantly going back and forth to the Frisco…read morelocation, and every time I went, I was greeted, and was taken care of, and received information that helped along the way every time. Long story short, Brenden, Shawn, Cayce, Krista, and the manager at the Frisco location were ALL very kind and very willing to help me no matter the problem I had. Got a new phone a week later and advice on how to deal with a "sticky" situation in the meantime. I was very pleased to see all of these kind representatives giving a helping hand and information to help with my situation. Thank you all, and you all deserve a Raise! jaja if only huh Spectrum... well they have my respect. Will continue to come here and say hi lol

Mind you, I used auto pay so the money deducts automatically. Until they received payment, my internet would always slow down by the last week of the month. When I complained about it to them. They would say, you need to upgrade your modem. I upgraded my modem three times since I was with them. I had to be with them because my subdivision only allowed them as internet and TV provider. Thankfully, AT&T came in. We switched. I don't recommend them at all. The customer service was good though. They always came out to see the issues, the phone people were polite. It's just the service and the company. Don't even waste your money and time with them.

I tried to upgrade to a Verizon phone and Verizon screwed it up in so many ways. they canceled it - flag it as fraud - tried to bill my credit card for the phone - suddenly I had two accounts - one in spanish - they flagged my account for fraud - told me that I could pay my bill in 5 days which I couldn't do then it made the phone outside of 30 days for return and demanded I pay full price for it and locked my credit card for 1100. when I bought the Verizon phone I kept it off forthe first two weeks due to the fact I had medical issues post surgery and a work place accident and I didn't terminate my other phone. I had to go 4 times for 10 hours total as customer service outside the store was the black hole of death - derrick spent hours on the phone as Verizon jerked him around in circles. The staff at this store is awesome. Verizon is not. The obviously offshore customer support is completely useless and many are just jack wagons reading from a script with zero ability to do anything but transfer your call to the next jack wagon. I am no longer a potential Verizon customer.
