I received a confirmation email, and a COVID-19 questionnaire via email as well. Lots of parking too, it's located in a little plaza in Richmond. I didn't know what to expect since it was my very first time getting a facial, and I was immediately impressed by the interior/decor at the front desk reception area when I walked in. It's very modern/earthy/chic (eg. white walls, natural plants)- and definitely feels very calming and relaxing. I booked my appointment with Lisa Liang for a La Cachette Signature Facial, and she was very sweet and patient as she walked me through what to expect. Bonus: The washroom are gorgeously decorated as well, and very very clean. The facial lasts a full 1 hour and 15mins or so. The rooms have soft ambient music playing, and the heavy sheets are super super comfortable - you could easily take a nap! I'm not well versed in their products, but various cleansers, exfoliant and peels are gently massaged into my face. Mines ended with a cold jelly mask thing. They use a lot of G.M. Collin skincare products (I also got 2 samples on my way out). My favourite part was starting and ending with a deep breathing exercise with essential oils, and also a little face/head massage at the end. The La Cachette Signature Facial regular price is $135, but I went for a limited time 50% off promo. Overall, it was a very pleasant & relaxing experience. They raised Botox pricing due to rising costs, yet seem to have no issue unexpectedly increasing clients' bills by hundreds of dollars, as if we don't have budgets of our own. Andy in particular is worse with not being upfront about pricing, while the female injectors are much better. I have also had several consultations with Caroline over the years. I was repeatedly shown the same before-and-after photos and only offered the most expensive packages if I wanted "transformative results." Individual pricing was dismissed, and booking required a 50% deposit upfront, with packages costing thousands of dollars. Advice at the clinic has been inconsistent. A few years ago I was told they did not carry retinol because it thinned the skin. Later, new skincare lines were brought in and the same ingredient was promoted as barrier-strengthening, which is actually correct. Caroline uses technical-sounding ingredients such as matrixyl synthe 6 and betaine and cites specific stats from treatments, which can feel convincing. But researching the information shows it is largely drawn from pamphlets, not personalized expertise. Caroline pushed the idea that you cannot get proper results unless you use "medical grade" products. She made it sound exclusive, more regulated than anything available to the public, and framed retail options like Sephora as inferior or ineffective. It was the classic med spa sales pitch. In reality, the term isn't regulated at all, and many retail or Korean products can be just as effective depending on your skin and what's actually in the formulation. After using multiple suggested exfoliants, acids, serums, and drying acne products, my skin barrier became damaged. Rather than addressing the root issue, I was repeatedly told to book more facials or buy different products. After a Botox appointment, my brows were completely dropped for months. Andy was abrasive and uncomfortable to discuss the issue with, asking what he was "expected to do." The only explanation given was that it was a possible side effect, with no guidance or support offered other than putting a note on file for next time. The clinic prioritizes the appearance of professionalism over consistent, quality service. Staff turnover is high, requesting a specific injector can be difficult, and appointments are often moved to different injectors without notice. This feels like a typical family-run business prioritizing profits over clients while masking it with a polished image. Accountability is rare, and concerns are often defended rather than addressed. Overall, they prioritize perception over consistent client care. I would highly recommend seeing a female injector if you do end up going here, but I urge anyone considering this clinic to explore all their options first.

Worst facial or spa treatment ever. A huge disappointment :-(…read more I purchased a 75 minute "customized" Spa Facial for Spa Willoughby at a Fund Raising event. The value of the facial was stated to be $169, so I was expecting amazing things for that high value. This is a one woman salon in the owner's home in a townhome complex. There is unfortunately only one visitor parking spot in the area, and that was taken when I arrived so I had to wait until the previous guest was finished with their treatment. My appointment was for 10 am, but the treatment didn't begin until 10:10. The owner let me know that she was double (actually triple) booked so during my treatment she would be doing a chemical peel on another client, and another service on another client. Twice, she left me laying on the spa table waiting for 20 minutes each time. For my 75 minute facial, the owner spent only 25 minutes on me! So, $169 for 25 minutes of facial, and 50 minutes of lying and WAITing to be treated. All I got was a light chemical peel applied in the 1st 10 minutes, then a cream massaged into my face in my 2nd 15 minutes with a light shoulder massage. -The so-called "skin consultation" was simply her saying "your skin looks dehydrated". That was all. -The phone was ringing constantly while I was there, and the owner actually left my treatment to go answer calls several times. A few of the calls were from other customers frantic that there was nowhere for them to park! -The sheets and towels in my treatment room were stained. -During the times that she was massaging cream onto my face, the owner kept giving me a sales pitch on the line of skin care products that she sells and/or skin care treatments "that make you look so much younger". I did not ask about products or come to be pressured into buying product, I came for a facial service. -I fully expected her to continue on past the 75 minute mark, due to being left alone for 50 minutes, but at precisely 11:15 she came into the treatment room, indicating she was done, and asked how I had liked my facial! Let's just say I will never be back!
