The sales person Charlie met with me and took the appropriate measurements, was respectful of my time, and gave us plenty of options. Their professionalism was what sold me on the company--they were not trying to upsell me, or overcharge like other companies would (one other company gave us a 3 hour sales pitch and quoted 20k for the same six windows). Universal gave us a reasonable price and didn't take up unnecessary time. Eugeniy personally ordered the windows to the custom measurements, and when they arrived he brought one to store so that it wouldn't be damaged in transit. He had recommended that we install a new window in our exit door and it was the right call--that entire area looks much improved! The installers were prompt, professional, and the end result was clean, precise, and expertly done. Eugeniy himself came to check the quality of their work and made sure it was done to his standard before receiving the final payment. It is difficult to know who to trust with these projects--if you're looking for knowledgeable professionals who will meet your budgetary and time constraints, with great communication this is the company you want to go with. My hope was that, in doing so, I would work with a company that placed more value on customer relationships and quality of work. Unfortunately that did NOT prove to be the case. We partnered with the company to have new double entrance doors installed in our home. We had to wait about 8 weeks for delivery of the product and then a couple of weeks for installation. All of this was communicated to us, so there was no real issue other than a bit of a wait for the installation. Now--for the issue-- The installers had to place narrow trim boards on the inside and outside to cover a small gap in the frame. After about 4 weeks the exterior trim boards began warping and separating from the frame. I fixed the bottom portion myself but a few weeks ago both top sections of the trim warped badly and separated leaving a very unsightly appearance. I contacted Gwinnett Window and Door to explain the issue and send pictures. I was told that this was due to us painting the exterior door--something I told the selling representative that we were doing back when we purchased the doors. The company stated that they would come out to repair the issue--for an additional charge. After spending over $4,000 on the door and install this was very disappointing. I declined this very poor resolution offer and made the repairs myself for about $20 worth of materials. I am disappointed that this company places such low value on customer satisfaction. I took the time to detail this review in hopes that others will have this awareness before making their spending choice. Gwinnett Window and Door you could and SHOULD do better.
