I spent over a year getting estimates for a complete new roof on my home. I called the ones that advertise nonstop on the radio as well as referrals from friends and business associates. Most were guesstimates as to the size of the roof and others were the " today only special price" high pressure jerks. Having put a new roof on my home ten years earlier that failed within one year and continued to fail until I had it replaced by the Mcnail brothers, I was skeptical of all of them.
I had several problematic issues that the "other guys" either blew off as inconsequential or they were unwilling to guarantee the problems would not return. Those problems included 8 skylights that leaked even after several prior very expensive ineffectual repair attempts. Other issues included inadequate ventilation on several large screened porch additions that made my porches like ovens in the summer.
Then along comes Jim Mcnail, He was the first contractor that actually listened to my concerns and asked for me to allow him some time to research the problems in order for him to be able to confidently offer competent solutions.
To make a long story short, I now actually enjoy the rainy days at home. I used to go out to see which skylights were leaking after every rain....no longer. It is a several years later and not one drop has appeared. The ventilation system for the screen porches has definitely made my porches cooler, even on breezeless days.
My home is heavily wooded and I have had 3 failed gutter systems installed prior to Mcnails Brothers gutters. The gutter solution he designed and installed have performed flawlessly.
I was so impressed with Jim and his father Frank and the workmanship of Mcnail Brothers that I asked if he knew someone as professional as him to complete an interior painting project and several other carpentry repairs. He did and they were outstanding subcontractors. The results were excellent.
Jim solved several unique issues with roofing and ventilation that the others were unwilling or unable to address. He is among the top 3% of the GAF roofers in the country and obviously deservedly so.
My concerns were addressed, my issues of many years were resolved in an extremely professional, timely manner at a very competitive price.
This is not a guy with a pickup and a ladder and a hammer. This is a professional that is totally invested in his business and will go out of his way to make sure the job is done to the highest standard of quality, always on time, as quoted and to this customers total and complete satisfaction.
I give him and his company the highest possible recommendation and will continue to think of him as my "go to" for all my contractor needs in the future.
