Today I took my new car (2024 SELTOS EX) to Clear Choice Auto to have the paint protection cover installed. I dealt with Ken who was very easy to deal with and willing to help me make the right choices. I took the car in at 10AM, Ken promised to have it done in 2-3 hours. He called me at 12:15 PM to let me know that the job was complete. My wife had done the same work on her car 18 years ago at Clear Choice Auto and she was happy with the quality of the work. That prompted me to check with Clear Choice Auto and two other shops. the price difference between the three shops was less than 5%, but Ken impressed on the phone with his clear communication and passion for the job. They tinted my windows and did a good job, it looked good. I have a 2016 Mazda cx3, so nothing extravagant or anything especially difficult. I gave 3 stars because as per their website, a standard 2 or 4 door car costs $125-$150 for non-metalized film. I paid $262 total. I paid that because in the end I feel that's comparable to other places, but the reason I went to them was because of the advertised price on their website in their FAQ. I mentioned it to the receptionist who didn't know, who got Ken (I believe that was his name) who was unaware of that price and said "it's wrong" but not much else... would've been good business for them to honour that and fix what's wrong but I just checked and it's still saying that's the price you can expect to pay. ‍ Just a heads up to anyone else that's drawn to that price. Despite saying that's what you can expect, it's not! PS: they also told me it'd be 2 hrs, so i organized a ride home and back to their shop rather than waiting. As SOON as I got home and sat down (30 Min later) I got a call it was ready! I can appreciate how fast they got it done, I just wish they didn't tell me 2 hrs so I could have waited there and saved gas/time/effort with that ride home and back. read more

I got the most informative email of any of the certified 3m dealers from them. It wasn't a cut and paste answer either. He answered all my questions and gave me information I needed to make a decision. I wanted the 3 m paint protection. I got the hood, bumper, roof and rear view mirrors done. Damaged my driver side window left two huge scratches with looks like a sharp knife one straight up and down and one across !! Then denied it and said it's from opening and closing windows while they're dirty when if you saw the cuts you can clearly tell it was done with some kind of knife ! I had my car re-painted a few months ago & decided to then have the 3M protection installed by Clear Choice. They did a fantastic job, was reasonably priced, and it looked great. About 4 months after the install, I noticed a bubbling occurring under the 3M protection, so I took it in to Clear Choice for their opinion. Clear Choice could have easily just said "a paint problem" and moved on,but they didn't. They wanted to be absolutely certain it was not a service or product problem & went the extra mile. They spent time/effort, through pictures & information from the companies that work with them (3M & auto body shop) to confirm it was likely a paint issue. With this information I then had the paint issue confirmed by the company that did the re-painting job... a reputable company but a contamination occurred during the re-painting. What Clear Choice did for me was simply outstanding. I highly recommend them for anyone looking for car/paint protection for their vehicle. Ron L. read more

I took my car in for 3M protection. By far the best price in Edmonton. At the time I went in they had a special where my headlamps and fog lights were included in the protection package at no extra cost. Above all that this was the only shop where I didn't have to leave my car their all day. No appointment was needed, in and out in an hour and a half. I called every shop I could find on google and everyone was more expensive and were booking appointment for full days several weeks away. Plus while I was their I was given a tutorial on caring for the product and do's and don'ts. My brother who got his done at the same time at the dealership paid several hundred more, no 3M on his headlamps and fog lights no instructions on care. He was driving through the car wash hours after his appointment which could of destroyed the 3M so soon after install. I told these guys before they began the work that I just picked up my car from the dealer and I just had the paint protection, leather, rug protection and rust proofing done so they may have to strip that off before applying the 3M. Turns out they discovered the dealership never did the protection package or rust proofing they only sprayed rust proofing in the wheel wells. I paid $1700 at the dealers they charged $400 for better. I called the dealer and they simply said oops bring it back in and we will do it. I would recommend going to Clear Choice Auto. read more
