My husband and I have a Hyundai Santa Fe and Honda Odyssey. Both brand new and we wanted the best rate for the most coverage in protecting our vehicles from the everyday use of them as well as long term protection on the effects over the years of owning and driving them. As the dealership's rates and warranties were not favorable for our pocketbook and needs. We searched for a better alternative......JR's professionalism and knowledge was by far, the best we found in and around the Edmonton area. His rates were not the cheapest but we figured, you get what you pay for and tried him out. Very true, there are a lot of shady folks/companies out there...but if you do your homework and meet with whom you are potentially dealing with and getting a good solid quote with a visible inspection of the vehicle,...you are getting the price for the services and that's all you pay!! I recently bought a new, black car. The dealership offered their new car protection package; it included paint sealant, leather protection, undercoating, and a little bit of 3M film. After doing some research, I found JR's. I called the business, and was pleased to speak with JR himself. He is a very personable individual, and is knowledgeable and informative. When I picked up my car from the dealership, it had swirl marks in it from the dealer prepping it for delivery. For a brand new car, it looked awful. I took it straight from the dealer to JR's, and left it in his care. I got the Platinum Paint Shield, leather protection, undercoating, and rustproofing. I also got the XPEL Ultimate film applied on the entire front end, and a few other spots throughout the vehicle. His prices were very fair; his services were actually cheaper than the dealer's, and I got superior products and better service. I also got the windows tinted. My car looked amazing when I picked it up. The paint is lustrous, there's not a swirl to be seen, and the edges of the XPEL film are hard to notice. I joined yelp specifically to write a review on Jr's auto detailing! I was in the market to purchase a 2016 VW Golf R and wanted to make sure it was protected with Ppf and detailed. I called around town to get quotes as well as haggle with the dealership to compare prices. The general quote to get the full front( bumper, mirrors, a-pillars, headlights, top 3-4 inches of roof and full fenders) was around $1800-$2200. I called and spoke to JR and didn't even tell him what the the rest of the shops were quoting. He gave me a rundown on how much each section would cost individually which in total was pretty much what the other shops were quoting but he said since I was getting it all done he could do it for $1300. I was so happy that I got their platinum shield done as well. When I picked up the car I was extremely happy with the job they did! You can't even tell that there was a clear bra on! JR even gave me some tips for maintenance of the PPF and a free spray wax bottle! Would definitely recommend them to anyone I know and come back for more detailing services in the future! I shopped around and found JR's prices beat the competitors enough that it was worth my while to travel all the way from south of Edmonton. I got the XPEL self-healing clear protection film (base level which included fenders, front bumper, mirrors and 18" on the hood). The edges around the hood were wrapped underneath and he extended the hood piece a couple inches as he had extra material to work with, and added an extra piece to the mirrors. Lifetime warranty, can't beat that. I was uncertain as to what other protection to add to my new 2016 Kia Sorento, thought maybe just the undercoating and/or rust proofing, however his package deal was excellent so decided to get the whole lot (undercoating, rustproofing, paint sealant, leather protection) and glad I did. The interior carpeting was also scotch-guarded which was a nice surprise. Everything that was done to the vehicle was reviewed at pick up, with tips for keeping it in top condition. I was looking to get undercoating, paint sealant, 3M film protection, and interior coating. I called a number of places and JR was the last one I called, because I didn't feel the need to keep looking after speaking to him. He was very friendly on the phone and did not want to give me a firm quote until he saw the vehicle, because he didn't want to quote me for something I didn't need, this was a very nice touch. He made time for me on Saturday to evaluate my car. He did not try to charge me for things I didn't need. Not only were his prices competitive, he also did a phenomenal job on my car. I recently brought my newly purchased vehicle in for several items. Outstanding customer service and excellent quality work! I called several reputable shops and selected JR's Auto Detailing to have our 2 day old Audi Q5 wrapped with the XPEL paint protection film. JR gave a great quote and completed the work as promised for the price promised. Prior to our appointment, JR himself called to ensure we were still good to drop our vehicle as scheduled. I purchased a 2020 Subaru Outback and new I could find a better price for undercoating and 3M protection than what the dealer was offering. I googled undercoating shops in Edmonton and found JR's. After reading the customer reviews, I decided to give them a try. What a pleasure to deal with as I had to change my appointment date 3 times due to work commitments before getting the car to them. I got a scuff on my new car and Jr was able to buff it out completely. It took about 30 minutes in total as he made sure that it was done right. I also had a paint protection, rust proofing, fabric protection, and 3M done on my new car. He is courteous, provides prompt service, but most importantly makes sure the job is done right. Great service! I used 3M film protection and undercoating service in the summer, waiting little bit to see the result. It works fine! The service was perfect, and the staff showed me patiently the steps for preparing film. Even, they kindly changed the film used for the fenders, since I did not like the cut. Jr and his team do a very comprehensive job with all the tasks they complete. Undercoating is thick with excellent coverage and zero spray over. The Xpel clear shielding is computer cut to to a high tolerance invisibly applies, much better then those plastic "bug" shields. I will be returning for an alloy wheel upgrade. read more
