The arrival window we were given was between 9-10 AM. Though we were told that we would be notified 30 minutes prior to the team's arrival, we didn't receive any texts. Today, Esperanza arrived alone at around 9:55 AM and said it would be $150 for 3 hours. Though we expected 2 cleaners for 1.5 hours, we agreed. Esperanza told us later after 2 hours of cleaning, that the kitchen and living room would take 2 hours instead of 1, so our total would change to $200. This was a little unexpected but we agreed to this too. However, she finished after a total of 3 hours of cleaning, she didn't need the additional 4th hour. But when we were about to pay, she charged us $200. We ended up paying $180 but she did maybe an extra 5 minutes at most, not a full hour, for the extra $30 we paid. Esperanza was nice and she cleaned our place well. We just weren't very satisfied with how what we agreed on, and expected, kept changing. Also, I'm not very sure if they take out the trash or not. When I asked, Esperanza agreed, but she looked a little surprised, so I guess this is one extra thing I was left wondering about.

When he asked Mary for a discount since we were now way behind schedule, she said she couldn't because it would come out of her own pay. We have movers scheduled for the following morning, so we needed this service completed by tonight. At 3:40, I called Mary myself for a completion estimate and had the most unprofessional customer service interaction I've ever experienced. No apology, no accountability- just blame-shifting and complaints about her own employee. At one point she asked ME to call her workers for her since they weren't responding to her. I said that wasn't my responsibility. She got defensive and aggressive, then demanded to speak to my husband instead. We tried to cancel outright. She refused, claiming the team had done "80% of the work", which was false. It seems like all they'd done was pour cleaner into the toilets. Nothing else was touched. By 4:30pm, the team still hadn't returned. Only when my husband called back to say we were cancelling regardless did she finally agree- and framed it like she was doing us a favor by not charging us. We ended up cleaning the townhome ourselves tonight with the help of my sister, but this ordeal threw off our entire timeline. I don't blame the individual cleaner- emergencies happen. But Mary's complete lack of accountability and professionalism in handling it says everything. You only attempted to call me to apologize yesterday after my husband called you out on your rude and hostile behavior towards me. You didn't offer any solutions during our conversations.
