Shaun, an employee, is really nice too, and is very good at his job, but inconsistent. I hired ProTec for two other jobs prior, and I was happy with the outcome. However, on the third job, towards the end, I was awaiting for the shipment of a murphy bed, and asked that notches be left in the baseboard for the murphy bed. Shaun convinced me that it would be better to install the baseboards after the murphy bed was built/installed, and that he would come on a weekend to complete the job. Shaun left early that day from the job, and I haven't been able to schedule a time with him since. That was over 2 weeks ago. I called Greg to follow up. He got aggressive and yelled "I'm done with you" on the phone. I said "let's try to work things out." Eventually, Greg calmed down and he agreed to call in several days with Shaun's availability. He also explained that he would charge me for the extra day, so the cost of this incomplete job went up. It has been a week since Greg agreed to get back to me. Also, scheduling is really challenging with Protec too. Greg always tells you he will get back to you on scheduling, but often forgets to and sometimes just shows up. He'll then say "either we do the job today or you'll have to wait 2 to 3 weeks," not leaving you a whole lot of options. Sometimes he will also forget what was discussed for the job. I have had to show him the itemized contract to remind him what work needed to be done. They did just hire a secretary, so maybe these are no longer issues.

Considering how badly the paint was chipping off the wood while it was being sanded, Emily who works the office, who also was a pleasure to work with, made sure that the mess created was cleaned up once the job was completed. Since we have some frequent winds in Fontana which was blowing the chips into our pool while the work was being performed they made sure chips were removed from there as well. Their was still dust in many places, the kitchen floor didn't looked mopped, and their were still walls that needed to be wiped down. I was quoted at $175 for a 2bed2bathroom cleaning. I paid $200 because I really appreciated the quick response time. But the cleaning job was not well done. I have to go back and do another cleaning myself because it's not "move out" ready.
