Mike did a wonderful job! I called him not entirely sure I was reaching out to the right service for what we needed, but I'm so glad I did. We have an older home with a gas wall heater that needed to be cleared and cleaned -- lots of built-up soot in a house dating back to the 1960s. I explained the situation over the phone and Mike knew exactly what to do. We were truly impressed by his knowledge, expertise, and attention to detail. He also went out of his way to fit us into his busy schedule. We don't even have a chimney, but that didn't matter -- Mike has the skills and know-how to tackle whatever the job calls for. Highly recommend! read more

This business is FANTASTIC!!! The owner arrived and made sure that no ash would get anywhere around our house. He arrived before his scheduled time but not the "annoyingly early" some people do. He was extremely helpful and nice. We did need some service to our chimney and he gave suggestions on how we could get it done cheaply, with expensive results. I will use this business every year to inspect our chimney. A+++ read more

Responsive, on time, professional, clean and tidy. Knew what he was doing. A complete contrast to my last guy. I will call him again. read more

Mike came ASAP when I had an issue with bees flying out of my chimney into the house. Even with the flue closed they were flying into the room. I was worried that they were building a hive in the chimney or the cap. Mike went above and beyond. In addition to cleaning the fireplace and chimney, and repairing the inside of the fireplace. He made sure the cap was solid w no gaps , and even sprayed some flying insect deterrent around it. I have a lot of bee-friendly plants and love bees, just not in my chimney! He ended up using some plastic that I had to cover the front of the fireplace, we taped around the edges and openings. It's not pretty but I'm grateful to have a solution if the other deterrents aren't enough. Thanks Mike! read more

Mike is fabulous! He knows what he is doing and is very efficient. I have been loyal customer for over 15 years. My chimney is not easy to clean but Mike makes it draw like a dream. No one else can clean a chimney better than Mike! read more

Mike was so professional and so pleasant! He even cleaned off the leaves leading into our home so he wouldn't track them inside with his equipment. That is really going above and beyond! Thanks Mike, you did a great job and we highly recommend you. read more

You are totally right, I did confuse you with the other companies that did not return my call. I ended up calling the installer of the insert and they came right out. It's all good now, I do have a question, do you clean inserts that have the long tube going up the chimney, and is it necessary? Thanks So sorry for the misunderstanding! read more

Mike is awesome. Really reasonable pricing, honest guy. He got me to get my dryer vent cleaned and now my dryer actually works - how funny! He also gave us some tips on what we need to do to make our fireplace safer and bring things up to code. I also didn't realize that we should choose between having either a wood burning OR gas fireplace, so we ripped out the gas and now get to have real fires :) We will probably be reaching out to have some additional work done, including something for the top of the chimney (something to do with rain maybe?) I'm literally so clueless when it comes to stuff around the house but I had good feelings that everything he was telling me was honest and will definitely reach out and refer! read more

I had some very specific questions about my wood stove and wood stoves in general. Mike was extremely helpful and very knowledgeable. He answered my many questions without getting tired of me. This is excellent customer care! read more

I sent a request for a quote and asked for a Chimney sweep, and that's it. Mike flatly said ' I can't help with this request. He shouldn't advertise if he doesn't want to work. read more

He charged me $114 more than communicated when we set up the appt. Nope, there was nothing wrong with my fireplace that would justify the extra cost. $409 for 1 hr. Sonoma is a small town...bye bye. read more

I'm very satisfied with the service from clean-rite. They had a timely appointment available and arrived right on time. They thoroughly cleaned the chimney and wood stove and provided pictures and written report. They were very professional. read more

A huge thank you to Mike for taking time out of his busy schedule to consult with me on the phone and advise me against repairing my wood stove (even though he didn't get business from me as a result). Other folks on Yelp charge $150 to come out, spend 15 minutes looking at the stove, no official report and then disappeared on me. Mike was recommended to me from Warming Trends and I can see why they partner with him. Upstanding guy with integrity who will be honest with you! read more

Mike is great! He came highly recommended from a real estate agent friend of mine! He is on time, honest, and knows his trade! He gave our fireplace a thorough inspection and evaluated the whole thing. We made a few appointments with him and again he was on time and did the job . He wrote out a description of what the problems were with our fireplace and suggested if we chose to --a few fixes we could do ourselves to save money. We are very happy with him and look forward to using him again. Give mike a try--Highly recommend!! read more

Mike was amazing! Efficient, on time, clean, knowledgeable and honest. He let us know of other potential issues that we were aware of and took care of all our wood burning stove needs. He went above and beyond to work with our schedule promptly ordering the parts we needed and making additional trips to complete the job. It's hard to find professional, hard working, skilled individuals these days but we hit the jackpot with Mike. I highly recommend him and would give more stars if I could. read more

I needed to have the fireplace insert checked out because it smoked. Mike had an opening and was able to come the next day (today)! He was on time, professional, knowledgeable and very pleasant! He cleaned out the insert and chimney and fixed the chimney cap which fell apart. He alerted me to some potential problem areas. And cleaned up really well. A very pleasant experience! I definitely recommend him. read more

About a month ago we realized it was well overdue for our wood stove to be cleaned, Mike at Clean Rite was recommended to us & we are glad he was, he is very knowledgable, quick, friendly & helpful. He charges an honest price that actually includes the whole job, told us where we can get some repairs done to our stove doors & noted some safety concerns we were not aware of. I highly recommend Clean Rite, I will be using them again next time I need a chimney cleaned! read more

I called four different chimney sweep businesses and Clean-Rite was the only one that could perform the work within the next 60 days. All the chimney sweeps I spoke with were price equally. The owner Mike arranged the time with me and was great at working with my schedule. He arrived 5 minutes early and began work immediately. There was a lot of ashes in the fireplace, but he told me he would clean everything. After the work was done Mike reviewed with me a couple of problems that he told me I could fix myself, and suggested where I could buy supplies. There was not a pushy bone in this guy's body. Mike left without leaving any dirt behind. Clean-Rite does a great job, the owner loves what he does for a living (perfect for Mary Poppins), and I highly recommend his services. read more

Mike @ Clean-rite Chimney Sweep did an excellent job today at our home. He showed up on time "even called and left a message earlier in they saying he could come sooner" explained what he was going to do and DID IT! LOL and these days that is reason to celebrate! The time he took to set up for cleaning was impressive, he covered the opening of the FP and set up his vacuum "industrial unit" he explained that it would be noisy for a few minutes and that I would smell a little soot however there would be no dust, he was absolutely right. He informed me of the condition that our chimney was in and suggested a few minor fixes "NO UPSELL AT ALL" but he was truly concerned that he tell me the issues so that I could get them addressed for safety of our home and family. It is rare to find service companies that are on time, on budget, and just plain NICE to work with, Mike at Clean Rite is one of those rare finds and I would recommend him to anyone, he told me he has been cleaning Chimneys for 36 yrs, and his pride in workmanship proved it. I appreciate the great work Mike, read more

Mike came by and evaluated our chimneys to find out the one in the family room was really dirty and discovered a part missing on the damper. Mike left and said he would let me know when he could squeeze me in. It was great to be able to communicate through text messaging and get my appointment scheduled. He said he would show up between noon and 1:00. He sent me a text message to let me know he was on his way. He showed up right at noon. He was able to set up quickly and was very careful to make sure everything was covered so there would be no mess inside or outside of the house. He said the vacuum would be loud so if he needed me he would text me. The vacuum was not that loud at all. What more can you ask for, he was on time, he thoroughly cleaned my chimney, he left my house as clean as it was when he got there, he charged me what he said he would charge, he was done in the time frame he said it would take, he did a great job repositioning out logs, and he was very nice. Thank you, Mike!! read more

Mike is an absolute pleasure to work with. Knowledgeable, efficient, friendly - he did a great job! He even checked on me a couple of weeks after the job to make sure all was well and that I was warm enough! Thanks Mike!! read more

Clean-Rite did a great job on our very old Chimney. As we had just purchased our house, I had no idea what needed to be done with the Chimney other than the inspector said it needed to be cleaned. Over the phone, Mike was already helpful and wanted to see pictures of the fireplace so he could make sure to bring the right parts for the job. He was able to come out on a Saturday (2 weeks before any other company I called!), rates were the same as the other places as well. Not only did he clean the Chimney, but he put in a new Spark Arrestor, and fixed another part he had found (can't remember what it was now... water sealant?) He explained everything and reviewed prices with us to make sure we wanted to go ahead with the additional fixes. Overall, very professional, and we are happy to have a clean and safe fireplace! read more

Called yesterday and he fit me in today. Good information and did a great Job. Mike is a really nice guy, and he also rescues dogs like me. Will call him again when its time for a cleaning! . read more

Mike is masterful! he did an amazing job of a cosmetic repair on our fireplace. He is friendly, cheerful and has a wonderful sense of humour. Even our feral cat adored him. That in itself was a miracle. We liked his work and his energy so much we hired him again for a different property, cleaning a wood stove. We look forward to a long, happy marriage with Clean-Rite. read more

My 1992 vintage fire place firebox was coming a part. There was a hole in the rear fire brick panel and the floor was nearing the end of its life. I called Clean Rite and set an appointment and at Mike's request, texted him photos of my fire place along with the dimensions. He acquired the repair materials without having to come to my home first. We set a date and time and he was right on time and did an excellent repair job at what I consider to be a very competitive rate. read more

Mike is professional, knowledgeable, efficient, clean and personable. I've used other sweeps, but no more. He is the best in the area.

Mike was super friendly, provided great service, and came in completely last minute to help us out with our chimney on his day off. We are so happy to have met him and recommend clean rite to everyone! read more

Mike is friendly, knowledgeable, & efficient. This was the first winter to use my new wood stove. As a Senior Citizen on a fixed income it is the only heat source I can afford. I was very frustrated when after only 4 months I began to get a lot of smoke in the house that I wasn't getting prior. I inhaled a lot of smoke in the 5 month until I called Mike. He explained the problem that comes with my kind of stove, then, cleaned it out. The result, no more smoke. Thank you Mike! The fires blazing and I am nice and warm again, but now there's no smoke to inhale! Thanks Mike! read more

Excellent service from start to finish! Provided top notch cleaning on a holiday even!
