Called for service on a Kuma fire stove installed by AFU. Lady that answered the phone was rude accuse me of lying as she repeatedly stated she did not recognize the owners name or location. Then she proceeds to tell me that they're booked until February asked me for the model number and as I'm trying to give it to her, she keeps talking over me. She was combative,hostile and unbelievably rude. Fucking aw.Worst customer service call ever. And all I was trying to do was get a service call set up because the firebox is leaking smoke. read more

Jim and Jennifer were great to deal with. What was requested as a stove/chimney inspection and possible repair turned into an installation of a new awesome Kuma Cascade LE insert. Jim was thoughtful in our discussion about repairing the old stove or buying new but as the old one was 18 years old and had a large list of issues the choice became clear. The Kuma works better than advertised, is easy to operate, has a 10-12 hour burning time and heats our 2300 SQ foot house well. Scheduling the work went well and actually Jennifer booked our install earlier than planned because of another customer delaying their install. Jim was very efficient during the installation and using his specialized tools removed our old stove and installed the new without any damage to our floors or steps. He cleaned the chimney and made sure that our top cap was in good shape during the installation. He left our house cleaner than when he arrived and was very pleasant and personable to deal with. I'll be setting up a routine cleaning schedule with Jim and Jennifer after an inspection in the spring to see how our chimney is faring. On the downside they are very busy and it did take a while to get in their schedule. Please note that they deal almost exclusively in wood burning products. I'm so happy that we have finally found a local, trusted and professional chimney sweep and wood burning specialist. read more

I knew nothing about woodstoves and moved into a house with an old inefficient stove and very unsafe chimney situation. The Kuma Aspen that Jim installed for me is incredible. He also replaced my dilapidated little stump of a chimney with a beautiful one of appropriate height. This team is delightful, knowledgeable (about lots of things!) and just plain great. Jim initially came out to help me with an old woodstove when I bought my West Sonoma home. I knew it needed cleaning, but he helped me also make it safer to operate for my first winter here as it had been installed by the former owner who had used supplies on hand, chimney where stove pipe should be, odd insulation, etc. I didn't feel like he was giving me a sales pitch but did provide information about a couple of things to mull over; the stove was date stamped 1983, and so not as efficient as a newer model, it was in an odd location in the home, and could be moved (hadn't thought about it), and that it would be a good idea for fire safety to redo the strange chimney situation. He reassured me that it was good to go for a year, and I mulled. I stopped by the shop a few times and looked at floor models, had some great conversations with Jennifer about what was possible, advantages to different stove types.. Tonight we are sitting in front of a beautiful Kuma stove (M.I.Amer) that's in the right corner of the cabin, on a beautiful black granite hearth (thanks for keeping me on that project Jennifer, so well worth the extra time and work!) with a blazing pressed log fire warming the rainy atmosphere. I'm really appreciative to Jim and Jen for all of it, they have both been really great to work with. This week Jim will put in a circular skylight where the old chimney was, another awesome improvement for my home that I didn't know was possible. This has been one of the best ways I could improve my home and make it the cozy cabin I love. read more

We used Jim, the owner of All Fired Up, to sweep our chimney this fall. Upon inspection, it was discovered that our chimney pipe was far from installed properly (which we had expected). Based on his obvious knowledge and professionalism along with a more than fair quote, we had the system replaced. We had no expectations that our stove would function any differently than before the redo. It now burns half the wood, is easier to light, and much more consistent on temperature. This was all due to Jim's knowledge of our draft vs length of stove pipe, etc. Cannot express how pleased that we are and wished we had done this when we purchased the house in 2011. Do yourself a favor and use All Fired Up for all of your wood stove needs! read more
