Great service and great work. Was very communicative and Had great pricing as well. I would definitely recommend them

Ashes to Ashes came out to clean out the chimney in our new home. The team was flexible when we had to reschedule due to an unexpected event, and were friendly, clean and professional. Our fireplace was especially dirty and they took the time to examine the current condition and made some great recommendations that we hope to follow through on. I would certainly recommend reaching out for service! read more

Nick arrived on time and prepared to do indoor inspection. He had advanced equipment to look at entire chimney. Then he climbed on roof and took photos of areas I could not access myself. Lastly, he patiently taught me the safe use of my fireplace and suggested options to keep it updated. Highly recommend. read more

Nick is a total pro. First attempt at installing an insert didn't work out because there was unexpected masonry behind the metal, but he helped us find a smaller model that would fit and completed the project. I highly recommend Ashes to Ashes read more

Even though Nick unfortunately doesn't service my area (Fairfax) he called me back right away after I left a message for him to let me know, which was very much appreciated! read more

Nick is as professional as it gets and definitely the right person for whatever need brought you here to read the reviews. Just make sure to book in advance because his calendar gets full too quickly. I messaged him for a chimney and a dryer vent cleaning and he quoted me a price I was very happy with already. He came over and after finishing the chimney cleaning/inspection, realized that our house does not have a dryer vent at all for which he ended up only charging me half the quoted price. I really appreciated that as he already spent the time to commute and also opened his busy calendar to do this but the job ended up taking less time than intended. He further spent some time explaining some more details about my wood burning stove as well as suggesting me a company that installs dryer vents. He will be my go-to chimney professional for life! :) read more

Returned my call when I asked for a quote! Only company that did the same day. Quoted 249.00 guess what it was $249.00. Took everything apart (first time a sweep has done this) cleaned from down below and brought a ladder and cleaned from up above. Pretty normal pretty standard but then explained what he had done and showed us how he put it back together in case we wanted to clean in between professional visits. Changed out my spark arrester and wrote up the cleaning and inspection. Oh and he was early and called before showing up. Cleaned up his area perfectly and left me with the feeling I had just received wonderful local service! And this customer loves customer service! We will happily have Ashes to Ashes back out read more

Nick was great, he answered a lot of my questions about the fireplace and chimney, he also recommended wood stove inserts and he'd install! He cleaned, and inspected with camera, left his work area clean. He left us with notes (on his invoice) and recommendations on what to do for maintenance! Great value for the price! read more

Excellent service! Nick is very professional, polite and punctual. I also like that he uses email to set up appointments and reminders. Great job, very professional and clear and concise on the assessment. Highly recommend.

I am a local realtor and Nick is my go to chimney guy for all my real estate properties! Nick is very fast at responding back to any questions myself or my clients may have and he will personally call my clients to go over the inspection report in depth to make sure they fully understand. Nick is very thorough and respectful by making sure he never leaves a clients house a mess in the areas he works at. Fully recommend Ashes to ashes to anyone who needs chimney services! read more

Exceptional communication and service. Detailed assessment on my fireplace and actionable instructions, with links, going forward. Nick is very informative, and keeps it simple. Exceeded all expectations. Will definitely call Ashes to Ashes again. read more

Nick was great! Arrived early and was very careful and clean. Explained all about the inside and outside condition of our chimney and wood stove. Gave a recommendation for the chimney repair, which we did have him take care of. We mentioned how we have so much down-draft the house gets smoked out. He (reminded) us to open the front door at the start of every fire, and THAT did the trick!! Rarely use the house heater now. His price was very fair and he was very professional. We highly recommend him! read more

Nick promptly gave me a call after emailing him about inspecting my cap and flue liner. I contacted several other businesses that never responded. He arrived on time, took the time to explain everything, and was extremely professional and friendly. He will definitely be my first call the next time I need any inspection or maintenance. Update: Nick came out at the end of the summer to sweep our flue liner and inspect our insert. As always, responsive and on time. Will definitely continue to give him a call when I need any maintenance or have concerns. read more

Nick, the Owner was one of the few who returned my call the same day I made the calls. I was in need of a chimney sweep at a family vacation rental. The home was inspected and noted there was a great amount of soot buildup. I needed the work to be done sooner than later since I had rentals coming in. Nick not only addressed the situation the following day ( Friday), but met me there late in the afternoon. He doesn't normally service the area where the home is and drove out of his way to help me out. Nick was on time and updated me prior to arrival. Nick finished the job within the specified time and attached the front cover of the fireplace glass. It was not properly attached and now it is ! Thank you Nick for helping me out. You are a true professional. I highly recommend Nick. read more

Nick was great! Very professional and thorough from start to finish. We were sent an appointment confirmation after making the appointment, a reminder the day before, and he arrived promptly on the day of our appointment. Nick was knowledgeable, competent and friendly throughout. He was able to fix an issue we had on the spot, and took the time to explain everything to me. He wore a mask and booties, cleaned up and wiped down everything he touched afterwards. Nick had great customer service and no upselling. I would gladly use him again and will recommend him to friends. read more

Nick was professional, courteous and on time. He really went above and beyond in helping us realize the problems with our dryer vent hook up. When he realized he couldn't perform the whole cleaning because of a fault in our construction he didn't charge us full price and that's after he took the time to go under the house. Couldn't recommend Nick more! Thank you sincerely for all your help!!! read more

Nick arrived promptly at the scheduled time and was courteous and professional. He was careful to cover the work areas and thoroughly explained what he saw and what needed to be done. I especially appreciated that he took photos of all the areas of concern. I would highly recommend Nick for your chimney cleaning. read more

Nick of Ashes to Ashes was very nice, punctual, and did a very good job cleaning my chimney and keeping me informed on its condition and what he was doing. He responds quickly to questions and I was able to make the appointment within a good time frame. read more

Nick responded quickly to my call, came the next day and gave the promised advance notice, then put in considerable time and effort to figure out why our fireplace insert wouldn't maintain a fire. Though chimney cleaning apparently is Nick's main line of work, he figured out (via online installation manual) that the previous owners had overloaded the firebox with insulating firebricks, then built a test fire and stayed until we were satisfied that the problem was solved. His inspection and diagnosis fee was fair, and he takes care to leave the area clean when he's finished. read more

Nick was absolutely professional and thorough. He was punctual and knew his stuff. He took the time to talk to me about how to keep a fire going. He fixed everything needed on the spot. We will have him back every year for an inspection and, if needed, a cleaning. I am so grateful I went with my gut and the Yelp reviews when picking Ashes to Ashes. THANK YOU, NICK! What a great business. Oh! He's impeccably clean as well. read more

Very responsive! We contacted them during the weekend and had an appointment scheduled for first thing Monday morning. Wow. He showed up on time and was very quick and diligent. He even took notes on potential safety hazards for the future that our landlord should look into in order to prevent further issues. Thank you! read more

Nick came by this morning; I was his second stop, and his stop before mine ran late. He called ahead to let me know that he was behind schedule--very courteous of him. It seems that most guys would just show up whenever, but he took the time to give me a heads up. Service was fast and clean, Nick was very friendly and helpful. I hadn't had my chimney inspected since I bought the house 5 years ago, and hadn't had a fire in the fireplace for about 2 1/2 years. After inspection, he made a few recommendations for service, but was not pushy in any way. He noted that there were a few cracks in the chimney, but only recommended service on the ones that needed it--he could have said that everything needed to be fixed and I probably would have believed him. Instead, he was honest about what needed fixing and what didn't. Couldn't ask for better, would recommend to anyone who asks. I'll definitely be having him come out next year for another cleaning/inspection. read more

If you would like to employ the services of a professional - DO NOT call Tony or Roberta. They are the most unprofessional fire place contractors we have ever had the opportunity to work with. They were no-shows, then late, then didn't follow through and complete the job. Once we finally got them out to finish the job, they butchered the whole thing! Ruined the roof and blamed others for the mess they are not taking responsibility for. They are rude and don't return phone calls or emails. When I tried to get them to come out to clean out chimney last year, they didn't return my call for 3 weeks! Then when they returned the call, they said they weren't doing chimney sweeping anymore! Then when they installed a fireplace for us, they failed to complete the final step which would have been a disaster, but we discovered it after the roof was placed, then they complained about having to come and finish the job! They will not take any responsibility for their actions. So frustrating to deal with people who are obviously not interested in helping the customer. read more

We would definitely have him back for the next time we need the service and we will recommend him to others. read more

Called and left a message for Nick he returned my call promptly and was able to schedule an appointment the following Saturday. Very happy with my chimney service! Overall this guy seemed very cool and honest. I was searching for the lowest price chimney sweeping because even though I'm broke I wanted to know my family is safe. I called ashes to ashes gave me the lowest price and he said he could be out on the weekend. Awesome! I found Ashes to Ashes on Yelp, and they turned out to be one of the only companies with an opening soon, and, happily, they also had one of the best prices I found. We had some communication issues at first but got an appointment scheduled within two weeks of my initial contact. Nick came out to clean our chimney today and did a great job. He was very conscientious about keeping my house clean--he wore shoe covers, laid down a drop cloth in front of the fire place, and taped the doors shut with painters tape before going on the roof to clean the chimney. He called and left a message when he was on his way, arrived 15 minutes into the one hour window we agreed on, and was done and gone in about 45 minutes. He charged me exactly what he originally quoted, explained what he did, and told me everything with my chimney was in great shape. I would definitely call Nick again next time I need my chimney cleaned! read more

On time and had the equipment necessary. I was notified of other repairs needed in order of importance.
