I never knew laundry could get so expensive!! The parking lot is pretty small, but there are plenty of machines inside. The back wall is full of evil little (ok, large) dryers that never seem to dry my clothes. Maybe if I added another few dollars, but it just doesn't seem worth it. On the plus side, they have a machine that sells detergent/dryer sheets, a decent bathroom, some seats, free wifi, and they're open 24/7. I need to invest in my own washer/dryer. Don't go here!! If I could give zero stars I would. I had to wash a dog bed. Although the facility itself is not maintained- many machines out of order, floors, walls, glass are all filthy, machines have soap scum, hair, and debris lining the tubs and dryer vents- I was willing to use it because it is convenient and I was not washing regular laundry. I used one of the larger capacity washers. After putting soap and my money, the machine started but no water was filling the tub. You cannot open once the cycle starts so I was stuck with a broken machine. I immediately called the number on the door 207- 408-6435 reached a woman named Mary who said she couldn't do anything about it, I would have to wait then wash in another machine. For the inconvenience and having to waste another 40 minutes, I asked her to return my initial payment. Of course she said she would then could never reach her again. If you have to use a laundromat in Portland, use the one on Forest Ave. CLEAN and machines work. read more

If you've ever wondered what 70's, Soviet-era laundromats were like, then come no further than Clean Quarters Laundromat. The second star is for the name of the place only, which I kinda like...although a more appropriate name would be 'Clean You Out of Quarters Laundromat'. Unfortunately I've visited a few times to uses the washers because of a bathroom renovation that took my own washer out of commission. I have a few issues with the place: 1) Only a few broken machines ever have 'out of order' signs on them, and this gives you the false sense of confidence that all the other machines work normally. Wrong.You might as well flip one of the quarters that you haven't yet sunk into a machine to determine if the machine you are about to use is broken. 50/50 are roughly the odds. 2) You can never tell which washers work...until you've put your quarters in. I typically use the 40lb washers to do 2+ normal loads for $5.50. Nothing is worse than when you tiresomely put 22 quarters into a machine and find out that the machine won't start up...or it starts up, but nothing actually gets washed. 3) Same for the dryers. Except in the case of the dryers, you thankfully(?) only need to put .25 in to see if heat will actually come out of the dryer once it starts spinning. 4) If you experience either/both 1, 2, or 3 above, there is no attendant on the premises to resolve the issue - just a phone number. Good luck with that! One plus of this place is that the change machine ALWAYS works and has quarters. Weird, huh? I definitely know where the absentee owner's priorities are. Summary: Use at your own risk, but know there are better, attended laundromats in Portland just a few minutes' drive away. read more

Not as bad as the reviews say. Not very clean but not disgustingly dirty. it's a laundromat not a restaurant. but expect to pay like it's fine dining . these are probably the Most expensive washers and dryers i've seen in my life. More than University laundry. and there's no way to pay with card and no membership or points or rewards. Make sure you come with $50 of quarters if you need 3 loads done. Don't even think about using that ATM. the hours, location, and wifi is the only reason they get 3/5 stars... just to offset some of the 1 star reviews . (which i understand) read more

Way too expensive, machines are ok but vending machines are broken, freezing cold in here and did I mention it's EXPENSIVE? I could swear I had learned this before. There are lots of laundromat a in Portland, if you can get to one of the others, do it. Otherwise, you're just going to have to deal with this crappy place I guess. Aside from having nice hours (we came on a holiday), this place is absolutely disgusting. The floor has dirt, dust, grime and somehow plant fertilizer all over the place? The washing machines were all out of order. Maybe 1 or 2 actually had a sign stating they were out of order. We had to switch our load in and out of machines THREE times to find one that actually worked. These machines haven't be cleaned once, on the inside or the outside. I feel like my clothes got dirtier from being here rather than getting clean. Safe to say we will not be coming back and will be going back to our regular laundry mat. I understand this is 24/7 but at least come by and clean the place like other facilities and companies do. The place is beyond filthy. Would not recommend to anyone. Sorry. read more

This laundromat is so disgusting that after my comforter comes out of the dryer, I want to take it to another laundromat and wash it again. This is the filthiest laundromat I have ever been to. The floors and machines are disgusting and the bathroom is unusably dirty. At least 30% of the washers and 50% of the dryers are marked 'out of order.' Even dryers not considered 'out of order' all dry clothes at varying rates and degrees of dryness, if at all. It would perhaps be easy to look beyond some of this if Clean Quarters was on the cheap side, but unfortunately it's also expensive. read more

Floor was covered in trash, washers worked good but the dryers are a joke. Low means ice cold, permanent press means cold and hot means lukewarm. Not kidding, my clothes were all cold and wet after 30 minutes on permanent press. I spent over an hour feeding quarters to the dryers trying to dry my clothes. Other patrons were complaining of the same thing when I was there. read more
