I recently moved and I was looking for a laundry to wash and fold my stuff. I found this one, it seemed good even in the price but they put charges for the color division, extra charge for the fabric softener, extra charge for Clorox etc, the lady told me that if I wanted to leave my fabric softener they wouldn't charge me for the fabric softener ($2). I left my stuff to wash (lb 18 to split white and colored approximately lb 9 each load), I left 8 sheets of fabric softener. I'm going to pick it up the next day and surprise, there was no perfume. How is it possible I had left 8 sheets!!!! I'll be back and talk to a blonde lady, I'll bring her my stuff to tell her that it was very strange! She writes a note. I return after a couple of days to leave my stuff to wash and the brunette lady, who doesn't want to tell me her name tells me that I create problems, that she doesn't want to serve me, I explain to her that with what I pay every time, this is not the way to treat a customer! Anyway I'm leaving and going back to the laundry where I used to go, although further away but the service is highly superior! read more

I come to Clean Envy ever so often to do laundry because I know I will always find a clean and reliable laundromat. They recently increased their prices on their washers (as pictured), however I was more surprised to find that a lot of their washers and dryers were out of service which isn't usual for this business. Apart from this slight mishap, the laundromat is always well kept and has machines where you can exchange bills for coins or use their speed queen value center. They also have well stocked vending machines with laundry essentials (detergent, softener, dryer sheets) and snacks and drinks! read more

Truly don't know what's up with all the one star reviews lol. I do my laundry here for the past few years, ladies are always very nice & helpful, clean environment, if a machine doesn't work it's labeled that it doesn't work. Very clear. Never had an issue. Just stop putting your stuff in machines that are labeled out of service, there's literally so many other machines to use lol. Coin machine and restroom literally say for customers only. read more

Everything was clean, plenty of machines to use (may vary depending on what time you go), people are friendly - not sure what else you could want from a laundromat! I don't use laundry mats often because usually I have a communal laundry machine on site where I live. However our on site laundry machines have been out of commission for almost two months now. So a few weeks ago, I needed to find a laundry mat nearby so I can do all our laundry asap. At home it's me, my wife and newborn daughter. Needless to say we have a lot of clothes to clean all the time with the baby here. I've went to another laundry mat near by on magnolia and it was very unclean and for lack of a better word ran down, with homeless people always walking by and standing up front. Not a great experience l, most of the time I left feeling like my clothes was dirtier after I left. So I googled laundry mat near me and did some research. I found this laundry mat and it looked pretty clean inside and was pretty close to me. Perfect! Let's give it a shot I thought to myself. With little to no expectations I found the parking lot. Front row parking, score! It was also a rainy day may I add. I must have got there at 8am in the morning. I walk in to see how everything is and it's glorious ! It was like a brand new laundry mat made specifically for me! Maybe only 2-3 other people washing there, with what looked like 100 machines ready. Also the machines all looked basically new! I went up to one of the washers and saw that it has an app so I can just reload money there from my debit card, double score!! I didn't bring any quarters either so it was perfect. I actually believe I might have called before and asked about how to pay. Anyways I have a whole row of washers running now with very little effort, total time about 18 min each, great! I expected mentally to be there at the laundry Matt before for at least 3-4 hours because I had so much laundry, probably 8 bags worth. I sat down at a big table which was also very nice and was able to be in my phone and play games for a bit and relax. 18 min go by very quickly and it's time to dry. I switch all my clothes to the dryers and it was as easy as the washers! 1 hour or so for each load. And the dryers a huge! Can basically put two loads from the washers in each! Time goes by and I'm all done and it was over all an amazing experience! People were coming in now and about 1.5 hours went past at this point. All done! Definitely going back! Probably spend about $50-$60 or so total. Totally worth it! Today I needed to do our laundry again, same situation, 8-10 bags. Get there later on a Wednesday around 10am. Virtually empty again! Amazing! Same routine expect I had it down to a science. In and out in about 2.5 hours this time and got all my laundry done. I even sat next door at the Mexican restyle Sirenita for a burrito while I waited. Great experience over all! FYI there's a daily limit of money you can load up using the app. I believe I put $75 this time. It ended up being the perfect amount though. Over all amazingly great experience and I highly recommend it to anyone in the are! I might even go back even once our on site laundry is fixed because our laundry machines are so unreliable. Than you so much for the amazing experience! Oh and special thanks to Ruth who worked there. She helped me out and was very kind! Great and friendly staff is always a plus! read more

Busy and yet a clean place to do your laundry. The lady that I mostly see, is always busy cleaning the lint from the washer and dryer as well as moping the floors. I've never seen her inside the office doing nothing. Constant cleaning to make the place look clean. The only thing is, lots of dryers are out of order due to people not caring what is inside their pockets and nails, yes nails are seen and heard going around and around it. If everyone can be careful with their clothes and clean out their pockets, there wouldn't be so many dryers out of commission. I've seen those nails myself. But again, place is clean which is a plus for me. Cost for washing is high but not as high as others in Van Nuys area. read more

I love coming here to get my laundry done! I have multiple loads that I can get done in an hour and a half! They even have vending machines for laundry detergent and other supplies when, inevitably, you have a brain fart and don't bring laundry supplies! The staff is always cleaning and making sure the area is neat and they are always super friendly and helpful! The most important aspect, I don't even need coins to operate the machines! I don't like leaving bad reviews but this recent trip to clean envy got me upset. I went to wash my area rug shown in the photos below because the care instructions specifically say to use a front-load washer at a laundromat. One of the workers tells me I can't wash my rug because it's too big and won't fit in the machine. I tell her I've actually come here before to wash this very rug and had no issues. No one even came up to say anything to me. I was also using the biggest machine they have which is for 80lb loads and mind you, my rug is thin, lightweight, and only 15lbs. She gives in and says I can wash it but she's gonna monitor the machine to make sure nothing happens. When the load is done she says nothing and I'm thinking okay see I knew the rug wasn't gonna do anything to the machine. As I'm now putting it in the dryer, she comes up to me again and says I can't use it! Her reason is because again it "won't fit" and since the rug is wet it's heavier...? I tell her actually the dryer is a lot bigger than the washer and the rug is very thin so it's actually not that heavy. She says okay let me see if it'll fit. I put it in no problem and prove to her that it does indeed fit! Then she tells me this is the last time I can wash the rug here because it can damage the machines. Smh I don't even bother arguing with her anymore and just go about my business. I was very annoyed with the service because I felt like the worker was being difficult with me for no good reason. I was very calm and polite when speaking to her the entire time and I'm not one to make a scene in public so I don't know why she felt the need to pick on me. My rug did nothing to either machine and actually got cleaned very well. I'm really having trouble understanding what her issue was. I like going to clean envy because it's near my house and I like the facilities but after this experience they just lost a customer. Highly disappointing! read more

I asked the lady who was staring at me if she could help and she said I would get the other $10 after I brought in my clothes. I told her I just needed quarters and didn't know I wasn't allowed to exchange my bills for coins unless I used her machines. She refused to give me the other $10 in quarters so I just left. She followed me to my car and was recording me leave. Genuinely crazy, especially since I wasn't even confrontational or aggressive. read more

I am very impressed with clean envy's facilities! I will definitely be back. They have different sizes laundry machines including 20lb, 30 lb, 40 lb, 60 lb and 80 which is great to have the options. It is very clean and I feel safe coming here. As a young woman in Los Angeles it can be really uncomfortable to go to a laundromat if there are people loitering. Everyone at this facility seemed very nice. Bathrooms are clean too. It only takes about 20 minutes for the washing machines and the dryer is $0.25/ 4 minutes. There are plenty of machines and I can't imagine having to wait. I'm here on a Sunday and it feels like there's a safe amount of people here with plenty of room. I will definitely be back! read more

I'm going to give it a 5 just bc b4 it used to be a good place but since the dry is no longer free I'm a a lil disappointed, I use to love coming here when dry was free and the place was a lil more clean just the last time I came to wash the dry is no longer free and I get it everything is going up, but that's what made this place great helping the community keeping the dry free at least ones a week would of been great. We used to come here weekly but after continuous issues with the dryers I have decided to completely stop coming here. Usually light blankets will scorch in medium heat well that's not an issue here because you'd need to pay $3+ for that to occur. Drying 3 loads will cost you more than a wash. You can count on being here for 2+ hours just to dry and find that you'll never really dry it. read more

Little details that make this place different than others are the carts come in various sizes and they have an indentation that help get clothes in/out better.
