Clean Can Now review
Somehow I had gone without a trash & recycling bin cleaning service forever without really needing it but I met Patrick and decided to try his service called "Clean Can Now". He demonstrated the service on a can and I signed on for a quarterly plan. I received notifications from Patrick a few days before he would bring his truck to clean the cans - usually the day after the trash company would pick up. The service operator does an inspection and prep of the can, then attaches it to the truck which uses a cleaning solution and high pressure water to clean the interior. He then takes it off the truck, sprays a deodorizer and wipes down the interior and exterior then wheels them to your driveway open to let them dry further.
A quarterly plan is frequent enough for most people unless you regularly put trash in without a bag or the items you dispose of stink badly. The service itself works, it's the customer service that didn't work for me. On two separate occasions I contacted Patrick to let him know that our cans would not be out or had trash in them only to be informed that I wasn't providing him with enough notice and therefor would still be charged for the cleaning. This resulted in our having neighbors put the cans out or pulling out the trash in order to make use of his cleaning visit.
On one occasion my son thought he was doing us a favor and put the cans away, unfortunately it was the day that Patrick came by to clean. When I realized what had happened I texted Patrick and he indicated that they would be back in the area in two weeks and provided the reminders for it as well. What he didn't share is that it would entail an additional charge, he wasn't just rescheduling us - he charged us for the return visit in addition to what we pay for the cleaning! A simple reminder from Patrick that he would have to charge a separate trip fee would have been fine but when asked about it after the fact he simply sent over the Terms of Service.
While Patrick and Clean Can Now is friendly enough to get the business they could use some improvement with their customer service and communication. The pricing is fair (competitors charge less), and the service generally provides what you want with good clean trash cans. Consider this a luxury service as nobody really needs to clean their trash cans A quarterly plan is frequent enough for most people unless you regularly put trash in without a bag or the items you dispose of stink badly.. In this case increasing cost, poor communication, and failed customer service just didn't work for us anymore and we cancelled our plan with Clean Can Now. read more
