Where do I begin, my journey for purchasing my home started years ago. There was a lot of back and forth when I could actually get a pre-approval letter to start the search which was out of our control; my lender had to make that part happen. Sent me tons of home for sale in my price range and in my desired areas around the greater phoenix area and some west valley options too. It was time to search, we went to a few properties in one day. He met with my husband and me on time, efficient, and came prepared with all answers to our questions. An easy 5 Stars! One of Clayton's strongest asset is his communication skills; he kept us informed of potential properties, sometimes even before they hit the market and during the purchase process he kept us updated constantly. We've been working with Clayton for the past few years looking for our perfect retirement retreat and we had a long wish list! For the past several years we RV'ed from the NE to the Phoenix area during the winter but we knew we wanted to buy something permanent. Once we hooked up with Clayton he persevered over three long years and several false starts to find us the perfect (to us) home. Even while we were back east Clayton would walk the properties on a video call with us. In a competitive market you sometimes have to pull the trigger quickly and remotely! As mentioned earlier, we had some false starts and had to back out of a couple of properties during the in-person inspection process and he made that painless, never any pressure - he just wanted us to find the right house. Once we found the it, he was instrumental in the negotiation process getting us seller concessions at every step. We even after we agreed to an as-is price he was still able to negotiate a credit for needed repairs. In the end we got our house well below list price. If you're someone like me that relies heavily on reviews to find the right person for the job - stop here. We have used several different realtors over the years and Clayton is hands down the best. My only complaint is that we couldn't make him come to Illinois to purchase our new home. He is always up to date on the market for both AZ in general and the specific neighborhood - his comps were spot on and he's just generally a very honest and straightforward person. It took a tremendous amount of stress off of us to know that he was ON TOP OF EVERYTHING and I didn't need to micromanage him. He sends weekly updates and check ins with current housing data and then a weekly timeline for what steps come next in the process after the house is sold. With his guidance we ended up in a multiple offer situation in a somewhat slow market. On the buying end, he was also aware of listings before they even hit the market. In addition to all of his excellent professional advice, he also went above and beyond for us when an extremely sentimental item was accidentally left behind at closing. Clayton was an exceptional real estate agent. He was my realtor selling my house, buying my new house and currently getting ready to put my fathers house on the market. When he came by for our initial meeting to put my home on the market, he was more than prepared. He explained everything in detail and provided a booklet he made of comps in my area. He had my home professionally photographed and did a lot of advertising. My home went on the market the day of my open house. We had a lot of people at the open house and received nine offers from the open house. He went through all the offers with me and discussed them and he told me his top three, which I agreed with. My home sold after being on the market for only one day. He gave great advice and feedback as far as the home inspection as well. There were a lot of snags along the way with my home, the new home and some unforeseen circumstances on my end and Clayton went above and beyond. He is always very responsive to emails/texts/calls.
