My SUV requires synthetic so it's going to cost more, online said $69.99 but I failed to note that was if I pre-paid, so I ended up paying $79.99. Ouch. They did all the required stuff, blinkers, lights, wiper fluid etc., and of course fresh oil. Knocking down a star for 1) super loud 70's music playing the whole time I was there. Disco, Abba, what? Made it hard to communicate with the techs especially since they were wearing masks. 2) One of the guys was treating me like I was an idiot because I didn't know how to pop my hood (new car), or what my tire pressure should be. Isn't that his job to know my pressure? I know it's on my door but I couldn't get to it because of the tightness of their garage. So really - more like a 3.5. I'll go back but pre-buy next time for the lower price. And hey - if you guys read this - change or turn down your music when you have a customer.

I notified Groupon and they refunded. So I was impressed with Valvoline's honesty upfront and their courtesy I agreed to an oil change using the proper oil. They began to go over my vehicle and discovered the oil filter I provided from Autozone was incorrect. Sure enough, it didn't. They offered to call around to locate correct oil filter. I agreed and they found one at a dealer, because vehicle was too new for after market parts. They stopped one of their employees, had him drive over personally and pick it up. Due the inconvenience they offered their waiting room w/ air conditioning. It was awesome. They finished up and I'm on my way. **The manager, Byron, was professional, smart, courteous and found a great solution for my dilemma. He & his team went beyond to ensure I was happy and my problem cleared up. Their location is convenient and very clean. Unfortunately, on a Sunday morning there are not a lot of choices to choose from...then I googled closest mechanic near me and this place popped up. I called ahead and was quickly greeted by a nice guy who told me to bring my car in and the team will take a look at it. I slowly drove over to the mechanic shop and was pleasantly surprised by how clean the shop was AND the professionalism of the staff. The gentlemen working the front desk was very nice and made me feel really comfortable. I ended up getting more air in all of my tires by another super nice gentlemen who was happy to help me. They checked all four of my tires to ensure I was ready for the road. It's safe to say, I truly appreciated that they were not only open on a Sunday when everyone else was closed but how fast, efficient, and KIND every person was. What I loved most was the fact no one tried to sell me on anything and the staff seemed to really care about me - the customer. For this alone, I definitely can see the value of of coming when my car needs additional service. I highly recommend checking this place out if you're in the area and in need of an excellent team to take care of your vehicle.

I came to this business to get a slow leak fixed. They proceeded to try and sell me two new tires instead of just fixing the slow leak. I told them I didn't want to buy two new tires today; especially since they were pricing them over and above what was being offered on the Goodyear site for the same tires. I asked them why that was. They came some bs excuse that the price online wasn't including the labor or the road protection plan. REALLY! I wonder if they would have pulled the same crap, if I was a guy!! I thanked them for their time. They said they understood and would fill the tire before giving me the keys back. Well, guess what they didn't even put air in the tire. This is the car that my 18 yr old daughter drives to get her back and forth to school. Real class act they are, not!! I definitely will not be spending my money there. I was able to get the tire fixed at Costco. I will be buying the tires from a business that isn't trying to cheat or lie to me and offers excellent customer service.

Pep Boys did not have access to former owner's computer records, but warranted around $1,800.00 in repairs at no charge to me. I do not know why the previous Monroe struts failed, but I suspect it is due to the poor quality of the roads in Michigan.
