Wow great menu was super excited to hear they had hush puppies ! Great bar tenders and servers for sure very happy environment. Had the chicken gizzards for an app and the special fried chicken with mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese. Great flavors and huge portion for the price. Will come back to try out more of their new menu items

PLEASE don't eat here! You will be doing yourself a disservice. They have 2 waitresses during the busiest times. Paid for a salad bar with no plates, asked several times still never got any. Paid $16 for clam strip dinner and this picture is what I got?? It's like a kids meal. Ridiculous!!

I've eaten here about 5 times in the past 2 months since we moved to the area and the food is always consistent and service is great. Today my server, Jacob, went above and beyond. I came in to grab a bite because I have a migraine and couldn't be out in the sun another second. I needed food and a salad sounded perfect. They have a nice salad bar! Anyway, when I walked in the door Jacob greeted me and asked where I wanted to sit. I said I had a migraine so somewhere as dark and quiet as possible. He took me to the back of the dining area and shut the lights down to the far back section so I didn't have to look at bright lights. Totally away from speakers, too! Really, really thoughtful of him and I just had to let y'all know to come here and ask for Jacob! Tip him well so he stays cause we need more servers like him! The whole world needs more people like that. Caring for a stranger - I was truly blessed today! As for the food - I always get the same thing: Boiled shrimp and the salad bar. Both are great, although once I forgot to say cold shrimp and the hot ones were heated a second time, I think. They were more shriveled than when I get them cold - so cold it is! My husband has tried several things, like clam strips, scallops, and the burger. He's always been happy with his meal which is why we keep returning. Now I have an even better reason. Thank you. Jacob!

Crab legs were OK, on the watery side.

Overall a disappointment. I really should have known better, but it's Monday and so many better seafood places are closed on Mondays around here. Stepping into Claw Daddy's is a sensory overload. The first thing that hits you is the stanky mop water and stale beer smell. Damn. Second thing is how poor the lighting is; I think it's dark by design. Third, you realize this place needs a good scrubbing. The fries and hush puppies were both over cooked. The crab legs were tasty but full of water. Cole slaw was average. Blackened grouper had good spice but was rubbery. If I were to go back, I would get a burger and the salad bar. The server was very nice and the other staff seemed friendly. Staff 4/5 stars, crab legs 3/5 stars, grouper 1.5/5 stars, ambiance 1/5 stars.

We stopped by at ClawDaddy's at Crystal River for late night munchies and drinks. That was the closest bar/ restaurant to the hotel where we stayed on our mini vacation. It was easy to find, right off the main road. Stuf was wellcoming. I think the patrons were mostly locals. Very casual place. Our waitress Vanessa was polite, fast and friendly. We ordered Bud Light and an Apple Martini-place has full bar! Martin was perfect. For our food we ordered peel and eat shrimp and loaded nachos. Food arrived fast.Maybe because the kitchen is closing at 10pm. Food was as expected-bar food.It was plenty for 2 people. Overall great experience. We'll be back!

Our experience was AMAZING! Shout out to our fantastic, sweet, and tireless waitress, Sidney! We have eaten quite a bit of crab across the USA -the crab at Claw Daddy's was perfection! The clusters were cooked perfectly, the crab slipped right out, and the taste was on point! At $45 for all you can eat, it's a smidge high, but worth it. The butter served with the clusters was also notably good quality. Fixings on the salad bar were deliciously homemade and vegetables were incredibly fresh and ripe. We ended with a slice of key lime pie -it was the best we'd ever had! The atmosphere in the dining room and restrooms was clean and free of debris. It's a bit of a drive for us so we likely won't visit often, but if you're in the area -stop in!

Table of 4 Our meals were fried shrimp, crab cakes , wings and crab legs . Enjoyed the fries great texture. $4 Ice cold corona. I thought this place was suspect but gave it a chance as I felt there were no other options open past 5 pm . Everything great. Zero complaints. Food cake out in normal amount of time.

There was a wait for a table but my boyfriend and I were able to secure 2 spots at the bar. The waitresses/bartenders are BUSSSYYY but they never let our drinks be empty. We both ordered 2 low seafood boils which had sausage, corn, potato's, crawfish, shrimp, mussels/clams and a blue crab in it and covered in old bay with a side of garlic butter. We could not stop talking about this dinner the next day. Everything was so fresh and juicy. For 3 beers, 2 seafood boils with tip we paid $82 which is not a bad deal at all. We absolutely will be back.

I'm thinking management must have changed because wow the staff has been better. We both ordered the same thing which we loved from our last trip 2 years ago, the Royal Red Alfredo. We get our dish and it is clearly not what we ordered last time but figure we haven't seen our waitress for 10 minutes and she never even checked on us. We had been out all day so we're starving. Oh, worth mentioning...it was my Birthday. Didnt even get a "Happy Birthday" after mentioning it to our waitress. My mother had to get a refill from the bar. The more we eat the more we realize this wasn't what we ordered, but rather the Shrimp Scampi variant. We call for the manager who argues with us over what an Alfredo sauce is which clearly it is not...he swears it is and that it has separated into God knows what as all we see is a soppy mess of butter and garlic. I show him a picture from Yelp of another customer's Alfredo from the restaurant we are CURRENTLY sitting in and told this is an old picture...We both realize we're getting gaslit as we know what an alfredo sauce is and had the exact dish so we know what it looks like. We agreed that we ate the food and will pay the price for the scampi dish they served us which is $2 cheaper than what we actually ordered. They refused to lower the bill so we left and paid without tipping. I've never had an experience quite like this where the manager will not even work with you. Not even an apology...we will never be back here again. You can judge for yourself if that looks like Alfredo to you. If you want straight seafood, this place might be alright, but the service we received was absolutely terrible.

You basically look into the kitchen when you sit at the bar. We made reservations for 6:30 and the place was hopping. My friends and I started with their fish dip, which was very creamy and fresh. They also gave us a complimentary order of the Fishnet Onion appetizer, which is thin onion rings. That was also very tasty and crispy. Two of us ordered a cup of their clam chowder. It had a bit of a kick to it and was very delicious. The oyster crackers were stale though. Both of my friends ordered the Grilled Crab Cakes, which I tried, and it was slightly crispy on the outside but moist on the inside. The order came with 3 cakes. Very good indeed. One of the orders came with sweet potato fries that were soggy. She didn't eat them, but our server Alex noticed and took them off her bill. I ordered the Fried Oysters with a baked potato. The oysters were fried perfectly and very tasty. All of our meals came with hush puppies, cole slaw and one side. I also ordered a Gin Cucumber drink that was prepared just right. I definitely recommend this restaurant. Our server was super nice and the food was great!

So we ordered 12 blue claw crabs, cooked and cleaned in a garlic and oil sauce. We were surprised that they were available. We usually call before we come and they hold some for us. They came with coleslaw, hush puppies and a side of large onion rings. ( Dave's choice of a side.). I ordered little neck clams steamed in olive oil and garlic, my favorite and we gobbled them up lol! The crabs were out of this world, juicy and so fresh. The sauce was light and not salty. This used to be one of our Favorite Seafood restaurants. Not anymore…read more Let me be very clear. The food has changed completely from the original recipes from the original owners. It's not the same quality or tastes. Let us go down memory lane here & revisit our last conversation, we had with you all there, last visits. You told us the story that the new owner was so dedicated to keeping the recipes the same, that they offered the one person a higher salary to stay on, because they were the ONLY person that knew how to make the original Clam Chowder, that everyone loved. You told us to our faces, my husband & I, that he was the only person that knew how to make the Clam chowder & you KNEW that you all had a LOYAL CUSTOMER BASE & FOLLOWING that loved your food & you were NEVER going to change the recipes. You told us you offered the man a bigger salary to stay on. You assured us the new owner wasn't going to change the recipes, just give the place "a makeover." We drove hours to get to Dan's on Saturday. We get there & there is a new sign out-front, its super cute, the building is painted very cute, looks like a super cute little Maine lobster shack in New England somewhere you would visit on Vacation. Now, the Local Florida vibes & charm, all gone. Asked for Tabasco & you don't even have any. In a southern Seafood Restaurant. Insanity. We order our usual Haddock sammy's, fries & Fried oyster app. The fried oysters batter is different, it's sweet. The two sauces on the side are different. Tastes like bottled Miracle whip & sweet cocktail sauce with no horseradish at all. Both sauces are HORRIBLE. The haddock batter is different. It's sweet & doesn't stick to the fish. (see photos) It's just falling apart all over the place b4 we could even attempt to eat them. Both our Sammy's a complete sweet mess, and not in a good way. The fries are some kind of GIANT hand cut fries that are undercooked. The bun, is a cheap bun like from walmart. No side of cole slaw nothing. I'm also not sure why your Haddock sandwiches and fries are $25 bucks each, double the price as "Gaby's" in Clearwater, Florida. I have posted many photos of their Haddock Sandwich's also, and not only are theirs half the price at $12.99, theirs are twice as big served on a cornmeal crusted bun WITH cole slaw. Math doesn't add up. Your haddock is overpriced and/or you cannot do simple math. OuiOui. Now that you have wrecked the food we will be eating The Haddock sammy's at Gaby's in Clearwater, Florida from now on. I have now taken you off all my Favorite restaurants lists & added "Dan's" to the "Worst food of our lives lists." Congratulations on your gentrification of what used to be one of our favorite seafood restaurants. You wrecked it, the food sucks. But, great paint job, it looks so cute. Will never return.
