I came from having experience with high prices from Midas and was immediately comforted with the down to earth staff and reasonable prices. I appreciate that they will always take my car and look at it to tell me the diagnosis rather quickly. However during 2022-2023 I felt like they overestimated the repairs and charged way too much. I feel like they no longer care about the customers best interest, they will flatly ask a repair cost that's double the cost of the car and act like they don't care if you can't afford it. Everything to them is "necessary". I feel like they aren't real anymore. Also the repair quality itself has gone down as my control arm all of a sudden "failed". I have a 17 year old car that is 150k miles. I am no stranger to getting it repaired. I believe that a car that is taken care of will take care of you. Where I take it matters, and unfortunately I no longer can rationalize taking it here. It's disappointing to spend that much money at a shop and for them not to even remember you. I'm not sure what management is doing but it is not the same shop it was just a few years ago.

The next day I was told brakes were NOT necessary right now, and we should reassess in 5k miles. This works for me because I trust these people with a trust that only comes with experience and proving themselves over time. The cost for checking my brakes, was nothing, a courtesy. When people new to the area ask for an automotive recommendation, it's a pleasure to point anyone to D&R. Last point: the keys to my courtesy car where tucked into the visor as I was told, in a ziplocked bag, sanitized for my comfort and safety, during the pandemic. She ended up getting a 2nd opinion and they confirmed that her tires and brakes were fine and they confirmed that Jeep will cover that suspension issue. D & R also kept the $107 to try to rob her of things she didn't need. Now she's going to another place that is 20-25 minutes away that were honest to her. The last two times I have been there for service, the car was not washed. Recently, I got a text from Steve saying I could come in early for an appointment . When I got there, he said the text had been sent by one of his employees from his phone and sad to say, they couldn't take me early. I just got a notice that I'm due for an oil change but their own sticker on my car says I'm not due until the end of August. Prices are no longer competitive. Going elsewhere.

If you need to get your oil separators and rear main seal replaced on your M176 or M177 engine equipped Mercedes (an unfortunately common repair on these engines) beware MBS will turn down the job because "it will take too long and we don't want to tie up our mechanic". Fortunately the shop that services my Porsche also works on Mercedes and will do the job. It's a shame as these folks are otherwise nice to work with.
