I was very particular about the color because I have my hair up most the time as I am a preschool teacher. After 3 LONG hours getting the highlights and the cut I kept having to have her change some here and there so when I could wear it down it suited my needs. It wasn't exactly what I wanted..I had shown her pictures of the style and the way I wanted chunky highlights. I was so worn down and back hurt so bad at that time I just wanted to get out of there. The next day I put my hair up as usual to be surprised by how uneven she did the color! My left side was light and good; but, my right side was dark. Not wanting to step in the salon again I had to get my own color and dye brown into the highlights light myself. Now I need to figure out how to lighten up my right side! I don't know how to go about that directly. I also had to frame my face with shears so I could have some long bangs as shown to her. I'm not a hairdresser! I'm at a loss of what to do about this. I feel horrible and can't enjoy the over 3 hours of horrible pain and how long the whole process was. I guess I learned an expensive hard lesson..just because the salon may be good..the stylist may be horrible! Appointment unfortunately erased by the computer - they( husband and wife(owners)) would scramble to fit me in -telling me to come back later or wait until my stylist arrived. 2. Hair stylist who had been cutting my hair, moved away. Salon owners said they booked me with the stylist's friend. Yet on the subsequent 3 appointments, new stylist not at salon for one reason or another. 2 times she finally arrived later than my booked time. 3. Caused me a feeling of humiliation, worthlessnes, uncomfortably , while sitting in a chair waiting for stylist to arrive, the 2 owners, behind desk communicating in their language which I do not understand, spoke loud enough for me to hear that they "seemed not to know what to do for me. After around 20 minutes waiting, I left salon. I never even received a phone call or text of apology. I don't recommend this salon for individuals who are not part of the so called ethnic community. Yangmi is so skillful with the shears- right away I could tell the difference between her and some previous stylists who are not used to Asian hair- the end result was everything I hoped for and more. I went to the other salon, and showed her several pictures of how I wanted my bangs to look. This particular stylist hacked my bangs. I mean, I could have done a better job myself. Nothing is worse than a hairstylist who clearly wants to be somewhere else when she is cutting your hair AND during the time when you are cutting in bangs after growing them out over a long period of time. So, after my bangs were chopped, I spent even more time on Yelp trying to find a salon who could help fix my bangs. Pure is close to my house, and the 5 star ratings cannot be ignored! I was able to get an appointment that day with Iasmina. She fixed my bangs in the best way she could and I was so thankful. She spent time with me looking at how they were cut, and she fixed some other issues with my haircut that I did not like. I am now a few weeks out from my appointment, and my bangs are growing in perfectly. They still are not exactly what I want, but they are so much better because of what Iasmina did with them. I scheduled my next appointment with her immediately. Front desk staff was super friendly (Becky!) and she gave me a tour of the salon when I came in.
