This is my neighborhood nail salon. I've tried everywhere from Redwood City to Los Altos, and they are the best. I'm so lucky this business is in my neighborhood community. My manicure's last three weeks and my gel pedicures last two months or more. They provide services for all age groups, My daughter is in high school, and her nails are up to teenage standards. They also provide services for my nails as a mom. They offer waxing and hair services too. I have only had my brows done here. I highly recommend! I've been going to Classy Salon for over 20 years. Wonderful service and Amy really takes care of my ingrown toenails.

OMG! Just today!!!! #1) I've been coming to this salon for regular mani/pedis for about two months now. I can't handle the extensive and expensive gel or acrylics because my nails are very sensitive and the expense is outrageous for a senior like myself. These ladies rarely smile or greet you with any kind of appreciation! Are they under some kind of servitude despair? If so, someone needs to rescue them ASAP! #2) I recently had my Mani/Pedi done a week or so ago and went back today for a simple color change for which I was told by phone would be $20 for both. However, after completing my fingernails, the woman took my ($25) money on the counter and left as though she were done and claimed, along with her manager, that the cost was $15 for the fingernails alone and would be $20 for the toenails. I'm like, what is this? Bait & switch? #3) Apparently the pedicure went up from $35 to $40 in one week, according to the manager. And, manicures went up to $30 from $25. #4) The angry manager practically yelled at me as I left disappointedly with a crappy job on my fingernails! Although, I did at least get my $10 back out of the $25 the worker took from me, she sneered in disgust. So, the worker didn't get a tip, so what! She didn't deserve it! #4) I had to remove the freshly painted polish due to the crappy workmanship and went somewhere else to get it done properly! #5) These people take advantage of loyal customers! They almost had me! But, NOT today!!! read more

Really bummed to leave a bad review but I just shelled out $90 for two pedicures that were completed in under 30 minutes. (Don't worry, it was $103 after tip + 3% credit card tax, which I wasn't aware of until it was time to pay) Incredibly no frills, no fuss experience. The positives?my technician was kind. And the French tip. A+ for attention to detail. That's why this is 2 stars vs 1. I thought hard about this. Could've easily been 4 stars if: they'd applied lotion, exfoliated the bottom of my feet, let my feet soak for a bit, turned the massage chair on, focused on one client at a time, helped me put my shoes on, etc. There is so much room for improvement. If you're wondering, my partner just got a pedicure - no polish, no lotion. Didn't even breakout the hardware to grind his nails down. The $90 price point just doesn't match the level of service. read more

I've taken my daughter and her friend for a manicure and it was very reasonable in price for a kid manicure. This visit was for a wash , blow dry and cut 6 inches off . Kathy has always been so nice to my kids and very accommodating when I need to get them in. The hair cut price was in my budget and my girl was very happy so win win. read more

I've been a loyal Classy Salon client for 15+ years and return time and time again, and bring my friends and family here, because this is the cleanest, most thorough, best skilled mani/pedi place around. The lengthy massages (including with hot stones!) in the deluxe pedis are just to die for! The same staff has remained, and they're lovely people. I value safety and consistency when choosing a salon, and this place does a far better job with both than any other place I've tried. I moved half an hour away and still come back here. This is my go-to nail salon. The gel manicure used to be $30 but is now $35, still a good price for this area. Regular pedicure is $24. The Deluxe pedicure is a bit more and includes hot stones + a 12 min foot massage. They have a ton of stations so they almost always can accommodate walk-ins. They have a good selection of polish. It always seems clean. They do a good job consistently but I think Kim is one of the best... it's all you need in a nail salon. Cash only ! read more

Everyone was so nice and welcoming, I showed a photo of what I was hoping for and they did my nails identical! Due to scheduling of a blacksmithing wedding party activity and need of a rehearsal lunch, early morning was the only time I had available to get a manicure for my wedding. I feel bad leaving a critical review because I've been a customer for a long time. But this was my second negative experience in the past few months. Today one of the nail technicians who was between clients sat down with her phone in the chair next to mine. Nothing wrong with that except (1) she had a very active cold and no mask (put my own mask on - problem solved although I then wasn't able to drink my coffee) and (2) she was watching videos with the sound up while I was trying to enjoy the massage (for which I paid extra). I'll give them another try in a few weeks - hoping this review means more paying attention to customer experience because I'd like to continue to be a customer! read more

I love Classy! I have been coming here for 10+ years and always have consistently good mani/pedis. Amy and everyone that works there is wonderful and does a great job. The salon is always clean and they have tons of color choices in both gel and regular polish. My last gel manicure I got here lasted me 3+ weeks with no chips. Well, there is nothing classy about this place. I was told to go back, back where? I finally just entered the first room that said private turned on the light and waited and waited for about 15 minutes. As I was ready to walk out someone finally came in and said " oh I'm sorry, it is our cleaning day and I was into cleaning since we only clean twice a week. I went for a full face waxing and was literally talked down to just a lip and eyebrow wax so that she can get back to cleaning. Worse experience ever and will not return here again. read more

I stopped here after having coffee with a friend as I needed my hair done. I got my hair shampooed, trimmed, and blown dry for $45 + tip, which is a great price for the area. I was torn between 3 and 4 stars but going with 4 as I was happy with how well my hair was blown dry. One person washed my hair, and another trimmer and blow dried it, and when the second stylist was about to trim my hair, she noticed a lot of dandruff and had to re-wash it. Maybe there was dandruff before I came, but I've never had to have my hair washed a second time anywhere I've gone so I think the first stylist didn't wash it thoroughly. I'm not sure I'd come here regularly for hair services, given the lack of communication from the staff due to a language barrier. Given that I've had a history of greasy hair, I need to work with someone who can communicate with me on how to best care for my hair. I had a previous issue with a salon in Fremont where the stylists couldn't give me suggestions on caring for my hair because they didn't speak English well. I also like to talk with my hairdresser so personal preference too. The price definitely is not a "you get what you pay for" situation as I paid the same price at Ulta in Fremont where I had an excellent stylist. I wouldn't avoid at all costs for hair given that I was happy with how my hair turned out, but more likely would go back to Great Clips in Menlo Park where I had a great stylist with no communication barrier. I ran into a friend who was getting a pedicure, and was impressed with the nail polish selection. She looked very relaxed and place is clean, so would come here to get a mani/pedi. read more

Had my nails done by person I'm sure is not licensed. She only new few steps of pedicure process. No English. She forgot to soak my feet, I was getting dry pedicure. It took me 5 minutes to explain to her that I did not want masage until I soaked my feet. Massage was short rub. She was ready to apply polish after a cold stone rub when I stopped her and showed her( yes showed her) how to file the nail. It is a fascinating phenomenon to observe non-Asian people magically acquire a broken-English accent when speaking to nail technicians. Lady, they understand English. Please do not hesitate to use pronouns, prepositions, and even compound sentences as you see fit. I am not one to pamper myself with manicures or pedicures (or as Nelly would put it, manicure toes). However, I was waiting for my beastly boyfriend getting his haircut, and I saw this nail salon over yonder. I checked out the prices, and thought they weren't bad, so I decided to indulge, just this one time. The nail techs are very sweet! I felt so pampered as they doted on me. As I previously alluded, I'm not much of a nail salon girl, so I had no idea of what to do as they progressed through the 20-steps of sanitizing my Frodo feet. They were so gentle with me, as if they found me in the woods and I was raised by a pack of wolves all my life. For the service and quality, this was an outstanding deal! My pedicure has lasted TO THIS VERY DAY--months! Although my toe nails have grown out substantially. I'd take a picture for you but you know, people with foot fetishes nowadays they just might screen shot it and make it their wallpaper on their phone and then send it to their e-mail so they can download it onto their computer and make it their desktop photo. read more
