When I walked into this salon I thought to myself... should I stay, or should I go? Then I realized I had accidentally walked into "Clashy Nails". At that exact moment my phone rang, and it was London calling, so I decided I should go. This is a nail salon in Baton Rouge which Barbie checked out and enjoyed. They do good work and seem like good people. I'm definitely a fan. The main downside to this nail salon is that it's a little bit out of town, so they don't get as much traffic as they deserve, but there are plenty of upsides, and one of the upsides is that they are affordable and do sexy work and I highly recommend them. Having said all of that, I will give them a better appraisal after Barbie is able to get her full manu done here in the near future. I am spoiled by Nail salons in the DC/MD/VA area to be honest - in particular, Rose Nails in G'bg. They know exactly how to fix my ingrowns, and it makes me very mad when I have to take my belligerent toes elsewhere. Since I am spending a lot more time in BR right now, I had to find a different nail place. I ended up here after a couple of failed attempts elsewhere. I can't say I am in love with this place - but they are nicer than other places in BR to be sure. They get the job done and they are quick. Since they have lots of chairs and stations, it's usually easy to find a spot quickly and be in and out fast. The nail color options are the usual, nothing crazy. I have been to the same girl every time (very terrible of me not to recall the name), but she speaks english well and gets through my nails pretty quick. The "massage" for your hands as part of the manicure is a joke to be honest, and I just decided to skip it last time. Will I be back? While in BR with no other options, I probably will. read more

I've been coming here for years to get my nails done. The man that is in charge is the nicest man. He remembers me and always talks to me. The girls are really nice too. For 31 dollars you get the spa pedicure which feels great. They soak your feet while you sit in the massage chair. They clip your nails, clip your cuticles, smooth out the rough skin on the bottoms of the feet, massage the feet and calves, file the nails, put a hot towel wrap on your feet and polish the nails. It's well worth the price and my pedi usually last for a couple months. This will be the place I keep coming too! read more

I went here with two friends to get gel manicures. The ladies that served my friends were great. My lady, however, was unfriendly and rough. She used her fingernail to painfully push back my cuticles, which was unsanitary and bothered me. She then overclipped my cuticles causing bleeding on both my thumbs and another finger. I come here every 2-3 weeks for shellac manicures and pedicures. They do the best job every time. They accept credit cards, checks and cash. There's a big selection of regular polish, shellac and dipping powder. Very reasonable prices. From the moment I walked in the door I was disappointed. I went in for a mani and pedi this is what happened: 1. Cash Only!! What? Who does cash only? No checks - yes I can see that. But...Really? 2. Technician brought out a bowl of acetone for me to soak my fingers in to remove the Shellac polish. Big NO NO. Where are the cute little pink "booties" thingies? It was the most uncomfortable feeling on my fingers EVER. The technician never heard about those the pink "booties" thingies. ugh 3. It took forever. She was throwing me out before my services were complete. 4. I was overdue for the pedicure so I chose to have that done instead of completing the manicure. 5. Technician did a rush job on me and barely scrubbed my feet. I had to go home and do it my self. 6. Technician did not moisturize my feet or legs during this pedicure. 7. Since salon was closing they were all sitting around staring at me while I was sitting under the dryer. 8. $50 later, I still need a manicure. Honestly the service here is just terrible. The workers there were talking too much and they were being soo rude for no reason. My acrylic nails that I paid $50 for didn't even last for a week. And the day after I got them done, my pinkie nail just popped off and I had to come back and they charged me $3 just to fix it. The workers kept ignoring me when I tried speaking to them and they just kept talking and laughing with each other completely ignoring me and my sisters. I DO NOT recommend this place. I went to get a shellack manicure on Friday and the next day it was already chipping and peeling off. I went back for them to fix it on Tuesday and they said it was $3 for each nail to be fixed. I had about 6 nails to be fixed. It wasn't even a week yet! They also did the manicure really fast. I had a gel manicure at this nail salon and this was the worst pampering experience I have ever had! The young man did not cut my cuticles nor push them back in its nail beds. I asked him to square my nails and he completely ignored me even though i reminded him three times to do so. He simply just skipped all the basic prepping steps and painted my nails with the gel polish. I was very unsatisifed with his work. I paid $23.00 including a $5.00 tip (just to be a courteous customer). My nail polish was smudged near the cuticles and creases of my nail beds. The over all rating of this young man's work is unacceptable The next day, I was very unhappy with my leniency towards the young man's poor work ethics. I came back to Classy Nail's salon to ask for a refund or a "redo". I asked the nail technician in a very polite manner. He was very rude and condescending towards me in front of the customers. He started to raise his voice at me because I asked for him to redo my nails. He told me if I wanted my nails to look clean witht he polish I would have had to pay extra for a manicure. In all my years of experience with nail salons I have never heard of such thing. This nail salon is by far the WORST nail salon I have ever been to. I received service at this nail shop on Saturday for the first time. On sunday evening my nails started to break. I really thought I found really nice nail shop with great service to attend regularly. The male (shop manager) did my nails was really nice to me, I gave him a tip thinking that he did a good job. Me and my sister noticed he seemed to be very ugly and controlling to his sweet, intelligent wife doing nails also. I think he is intimidated by his wife. My nails may have been done with bad products the polish even chipped. I am a very intelligent Woman of Color, in College with money and a Husband to pay for anything I want. I do not want anything done for free. Kenny treated me like I was lying about what happened to my nails 1 day later. I asked for curve nails, he told me he did not have curve nails. He said he would put the nails on to look curved. They did look curved but broke very quickly. Me and my sister will never return to Classy Nails.
