Very personable, friendly and professional, with reasonable rates. He seems to know how to fix any machine you can bring to him. We brought him an old Bernina sewing machine made in Switzerland back in the 60's and my Mom was thrilled he was able to fix the broken belt of that old machine. I highly recommend Utica Sewing Center to anyone who needs their sewing machine fixed.

I have a ~40 year old Pfaff 1215 that I use to make big kites and the foot pedal had died. As well, the machine was struggling with some of the 3 and 4 layer heavy nylon sewing that I do which I have to use heavy duty upholstery thread for which really works the machine hard. Victor took a hold of that thing and in just a few minutes figured out how he could set me up with a working foot petal (a factory replacement would have been $80) and also do a complete reconditioning (which usually runs $100) - both for $150. Victor is very knowledgeable about the inner workings and construction of the sewing machines he services and I can vouch he carries on the tradition of his father's commitment to good service. Nice job VIctor, and thanks again. My machine runs great! Todd Vest bzzh8c@hotmail.com

He never asked if I could hand it to him through the door or anything and just came in. I felt disgusted and after he marked the gown, I had decided I would not be giving this man a single penny and told them I was not interested anymore - the woman working there then took the dress and "ironed" off the markings leaving discolored marks. Would not recommend for women or children or anyone getting an expensive wedding/prom dress altered! Side note: I visited another tailor down the road and they did it perfectly and said the markings he had put were very off from how they should be for the style of the dress (supposed to have a ruched texture in the front.) EDIT: he also told me he was ironing it off because i looked like I would basically take advantage of his time in marking and do it myself (i know nothing about clothing and i just wanted my prom dress shortened.)
