My nail tech was on her cellphone the entire time for my mani pedi. *90* minutes, talking on her phone. I came here to relax, but I had to listen to her conversation the entire time. I looked on my own for color but needed help finding the right one, a metallic blue. She was not helpful when I asked for her help, she just gave me the same color swatches I already looked at. I have a tickle in my throat and had a really bad coughing attack during my mani. I coughed so hard I had huge tears streaming down my face. I nearly had to leave for a moment. I was clearly struggling. I kindly asked her for a cup of water. She told me she doesn't have any water and kept talking on her phone. Later, another tech brought me a plastic cup of water when I was at the dry station. So grateful for that woman. I will not return here though. read more

I was super indecisive as of what nail design I wanted. literally changed the design idea three times with her. She was incredibly accommodating and willing to switch what she was doing. Just so I would like my nails. She didn't amazing job not super talkative, but would engage with me if I spoke to her. My nails are gorgeous, I also thought pricing was good. Classic nails is conveniently located at the Westfield mall in Trumbull. I stumbled upon it one day when my regular nail place was closed. The staff is nice and they do a great job. I have only gone in for the UV gel nails, but I can tell you they leave my nails looking so nice and natural. They file the gel so thin and perfect each time. I have gone to three different nail techs and each one was excellent. It's not a fancy place, but the prices are fair and the work is great. After coming here for about a year now, I can honestly say that the two male nail techs are the absolute best at doing the UV gel nails. I have had many people work in my nails, but I have found that they take excellent care and the end result is beautiful and lasts 2-3 weeks with no chipping. read more

I got to the place and said that I wanted my powder nails taken off, and just regular nail polish to replace it. The woman seemed new. She asked someone else what to do about the powder, maybe her superior, and they said "take it off like it's gel." Like I said, I get my nails done all the time. This woman was not doing it right. I don't blame her, I blame the company overall for failing to train her properly. She tried filing the powder down completely which actually burned terribly. I have a high pain tolerance and literally pulled my hand away from her. I asked her to soak them in acetone instead. She couldn't figure out how to wrap the foil on my nail! I wanted to tell her how but didn't want to be rude. She then took the bottle of nail polish remover and was pouring it directly onto my nails and just squeezing the foil onto it. The foil kept falling off, the powder wasn't coming off, it was A DISASTER. After an hour of her trying, I'd given up. My friends' nails were already completely done. I told her I had to leave. The guy at the counter kept trying to charge me $20 just for a powder nail removal. I paid them $10 & gave her a tip. Just trust me, if you care about your nails, do NOT GO HERE. Rose is very sweet, has been there for 9+ years (extremely hardworking) and always does a nice job with my acrylic/gel sets. None of the employees speak perfect English or are the most professionally trained nail techs so PLEASE BE PATIENT AND KIND. This is the cheapest salon around, 5 mins. down the road "New Ran Nails" charges more than double for the same set ($80 vs $35). With that being said, don't expect a 5-star experience or luxurious treatment. The salon is not the cleanest/classiest but I am a broke college student who just wants my nails to look appropriate for work, so this is the perfect place for me. Unfortunately, I witnessed 2 customers make disgusting and racist comments towards the salon workers today. One woman (who also happened to be a minority) threatened to call the Immigration Services on a Hispanic worker and implied that she should get out of our country. I was appalled and feel horrible for all the time and effort these ladies give to their jobs. If you want to be treated like a celebrity, feel free to drive 30 minutes to Westport where the same job + some green tea and a back massage will cost you $100 + tip lol read more

Not only did they put powder gel aka DIP powder on as acrylics (applied with brush and purple solution) I walked out with the ugliest nails in history. It was sloppy, not to mention EXPENSIVE (I'm pretty sure this was around $50). never again. I also waited about 1 hour just to get seated, and they didn't even use foil to soak my nails. Be careful who you get to do your nails. The older ladies in the salon lack the modern techniques that make nails look smooth and polished. Worst customer service experience. DO NOT GO THERE. I walked in and asked for Trina. The lady at the reception desk seemed hesitant then Trina approached her, they started talking and Trina shook her head "no" violently. Trina asked me what I was there for then tells me to take a seat by the waiting area. A guy tells me to sit on a station and a random person sits across from me as if I didn't know who Trina was. Went in for a uv fill and asked for a specific design. The work was sloppy and rushed. As Jackie finished one hand I let her know it didn't look good. Clearly she was offended and just threw me off to someone else to do a color change. Mostly because she had her next client. The salon wanted to charge me $95 to pay for her sloppy work of $65 and a $30 color change. They do not value customer service. If the work was clean and neat I would not have complained but I refuse to leave the salon hating my nails. They made a big deal in the salon and being that I'm well known in CT I wasn't going to cause a scene for people to record me and post online to embarrass myself over nails. So one of my girlfriends and I decide to go get our nails done, I was leaving for a trip and she just wanted to get her nails done for a work holiday party to our surprise the day after, my girlfriends nail polish gel top coat started peeling off from the base where the cuticle is the day after she had gotten them done. The next day when she was at work, one of her nails popped off, went back that night got them retouched to only have her thumb nail pop off two days later. (mind you we got the dip powder that was a whopping $42). Two days later I was showering and washing my hair and the hair started to get stuck between the nail bed and the dip powder, with in 5 days all of my nails had came off when it was guaranteed to last two weeks. No hand rub, don't dip your hand in the wax, no massages, no water beverages, and they reuse some of their nail instruments. So we will never ever be coming back, and I will forever tell friends/family/acquaintances to stay... Oh yea and ALSO when my friend went back, one of the ladies had admitted that most of the girls SKIP STEPS FOR THE POWDER GEL TO MAKE IT GO FASTER SO THAT THEY CAN FLIP YOU FASTER. What a scam. literally the worst manicure i've ever received. i went in with 5 nails that had remaining SNS and i asked for a soak off. the lady doing my nails proceeded to scrape and ruin my nails. I asked 5 times for a soak off but she kept scraping at my mails with an old tip. Literally so disgusting. So she painted my nails and i dried them. I use Trina when I get my gel fills and manicure. Not only is she a professional....she has an artistic flare and does exceptional designs. She is fast which is great for me...she knows what she is doing and confident in her abilities. Honestly, if so many people had bad experiences...why did they stay to the end? Why not complain to mgr then leave? To the person who said staff kept looking at there phones...I make my appts by text message and that person responds by text. Not strange or unprofessional in this day and age of modern technology. They all do it and the exception is calling to make an appt. The guy that did my pedicure did not take any cuticles off didn't cut the toenails right and ripped my nail off one of my toes. They had somebody else fix it and did the best that she could because at that point I had been there for well over an hour and she couldn't finish it . The nail polish wasn't adhearing because he had put way too much Calus remover on. After two hours it was good as it was going to get she said come back tomorrow I told her I did not have the time and did not want to pay for the Pedicure the woman then proceeded to take the color off of my toes while I was standing at the door! I went there today and for the first time I said I would never go back. I got a fungus infection from them not properly sterilizing the tools and then used it on me. which cost me 450$ to treat and my toe is still messed up two years later. they need to learn that if theyre using metal tools they need to be sterilized!!! do not let anyone use any tools on you that do did not come out of a sterilized plastic bag!! they might place the tools into sterilizing solution but not long enough to actually kill the bacteria. Almost all the nail techs here are great. Took my chance with someone new yesterday. She's Hispanic, and sits in the front row on the left hand side. She charged me an extra $3 to cut down my nails, which is fine until she cut them down unevenly. Then proceeded to file them again to try and make them even and took off almost all the length I had. She also rushed while painting them I didn't have another hour to sit so I was told to come back the next day to get them fixed. Upon arrival today the nail tech seemed really frustrated analyzing what needed to be fixed. She then started sanding off my gel polish in a hurry, and nicked my skin. They're still not shaped evenly, or correctly but both our patience was wearing thin. They looked better then they did yesterday. This is no exaggeration. I went to get my nails and pedi before a work trip and before I know it 2 days after my nails start peeling. 1 nail, 2 nails, 3 nails- before you know it they look this! Not just the paint but the artificial nail along with my real nail came off due to poor adhesive. Meanwhile I'm away for work and my looks absolutely horrible so I decide to wait until I'm back in the area to the let them know the nail didn't last after paying 40$ for a fill. I kindly let them know that just 2 days after my nails began to disintegrate. Unfortunately to my surprise- I was told "it's not our responsibility" and "there is nothing we can do". I was hoping they would understand the situation and offer a discount or even offer some customer service by acknowledging it was a crappy job. Keep in mind, I just paid to get them done (UV gel with UV nail polish-lasting 2 days) quite absurd. After going back and forth I decided to walk away not giving this place another dime (I had been a loyal customer for quite some time driving 30 mins from my home to get them done here). I've been a customer here for over 3 years. My daughters were also loyal customers. Over the last year the service and quality started to decline, although I was still giving them all a chance because I trust them. Today was it for me. I went in yesterday as I normally would as a walk in but they appeared to be short staffed. I couldn't afford to wait so long so I made an appointment for TODAY. I get there at 11:30 and was told to come back at 1!!! I definitely could not come back an hour and a half later because I was heading out of town for a wedding. There was absolutely no sense of urgency or concern. I'm literally almost in tears and rather them try to offer another alternative they let me just sit there. Thankfully I called down to Diva Nails and they took me right away. They were also very busy but took a sense of urgency to my situation. I was in and out in an hour and my nails look fabulous! The people that worked there were too busy flirting with each other or checking their phones to pay attention to customers. One girl kept stopping to look at her phone while giving a manicure while her customer just sat there and watched her. I stood there with my coat for 2 minutes before anyone said anything and then they just pointed to a chair. The boy that did my pedicure was rushing through it and very rough. But not everyone can do nails the older lady who does fake nails does a terrible job but everyone else is good so far. I really don't trust them with my eyebrows they do it too thin. It was my very first time getting acrylics done and the Spanish lady I got completely rushed through that my nails were sore until the next day. It wasn't busy at all and she was rushing in shaping the nails, rushing in filing them that she was so rough when she did it, rushing when cleaning my cuticles that when I got home they started to bleed and got mad at me when I didn't dry my hands "properly" after I washed my hands. I assumed they would air dry a bit because I didn't know we were in such a rush. She finished in like 15 minutes while my friend got a nice, gentle lady who took her time on her nails. My friend talked me into getting a manicure and pedicure with her. It was my first time. I didn't really like it. The water was too hot, the files were previously used, and the girl was extremely rough. As a cosmotologist I know that she did many things wrong but if your just a regular customer you wouldn't be able to tell. My nails came out looking good but looked like they were already grown out . The employees of this nail salon are extremely rude! I had called them to tell ask for a quick walk in and after they told me to come in, they told me that they couldn't take both my sister and I. So, my sister stayed to do pedicure. About 20 mins later my sister asked if they can atleast do my manicure without any dry time and after the nail technician said yes the manager was very rude to me and denied me after I had walked across the entire mall to get my manicure.
