My only complaint is the little kids on scooters going the wrong way. The skates smelled terrible - we will be buying our own for future trips. We waited to get in for several minutes while the staff member spoke on the phone in the back room, occasionally looking up and giving us the "wait a minute" sign with his finger. We rented two of the skate walkers and when not in use, they were by the tables with our things the worker came and took them back and turned them in without asking us. Not sure what that was about? Came here for my kids friends birthday party. I was pleasantly surprised at what they had to offer, and the prices are quite reasonable. On the left of the building, there are some pretty cool inflatables. All of which I've never seen before. I initially thought there were all geared towards larger kids and was worried my three year old wouldnt be able to do much, but boy was I wrong. Even at 3 he was able to climb them all. However, had he not been able to, up stairs there are some more inflatables that are geared towards smaller kids. So my 1 year old was also able to have a good time. They also have a roller skating rink (on which they allow scooters, which is pretty cool as scooters are all the rage with little kids), a sizeable arcade, a small laser tag room, and a few party rooms. Only reason I give 4 stars out of 5 is because I can understand many of the other reviews here that complain when its too packed. We were lucky and it was the middle of the day on a weekday so there really werent very many kids. However if this place was super packed, like it has been for other people, I would be very hesitant to let my smaller kids run around for fear of them getting hurt by too many kids playing around. I'm not sure if they have a max capacity instituted, but if not I think its something they should consider. read more

During the laser tag they set the teams as a half-dozen 5-8 year olds against my group of 5 18-26 year olds... which was an unmitigated disaster. This situation should have never happened. The younger kids were spawn camping, being intentionally obnoxious and taunting (using language and gestures that kids that age usually don't use, and would certainly have gotten older players removed). Despite the young adults trying to play a fair inclusive game, the young ones were preventing any actual gameplay. There was little to no instruction or gameplay guidance from Classic staff. Despite there being obvious issues, staff did nothing to curb inappropriate activities. My youngest said the only fun part of this was the bounce area, and maybe rollerblading. I've been to 3 classic fun centers. This one is a nightmare. Mostly tiny kids il on scooters going any which way. Several just launched their scooters into the middle or against flow. Many adults would just walk around the rink and stand there talking. A kid brought a frigging rc car and started racing it around. The employees were all VERY young and didn't really put any effort into the kind of wrangling that all skating rinks need to do. Just really unpleasant. We were surprised at first at how there were almost no actual skaters (blades or quads) there. None of the smattering of skilled skaters you usually see. No teenagers. It's obvious why now. Anyone who actually enjoys skating must go elsewhere. We'll stick to the provo and sandy locations in the future. read more

When I was in Jr. High, my friends and pretty much everyone from my school hung out at the one in Ogden.. this was still the 90s. I was a little disappointed in a few things. My girls went yesterday for their school family skate night, first to get a scooter you have to give you keys, ID or phone. Who under the age of 16 has the first two. A phone I get, however, they are gonna wanna take pictures and document the fun. It was a bit of a.. inconvenience.. you have plenty of ways of knowing if I'm going to leave with your scooter.. you don't need anything from me sorry. Second, my daughter kept getting pushed down and tripped by one boy in particular. When she went to tel and adult that works there, she replied "that's my son, he would never do that. Really? Because he did, she has bruises.. and yes kids fall when rollerskating, however this was excessive and she wouldn't have sought out assistance from an adult if she didn't feel it was excessive. Flashbacks from the '70s hit you right in the face when you enter the Classic! Remember when you boogied down with whatshername on your roller skates? Yeah, me too. But that isn't the Classic of today. The wife and I took the ankle-biter to Classic on a recommend from a friend. They let you bring tricycles, scooters, skates, or whatever your little person wants to ride on the main floor. This is awesome in the winter as there is many feet of snow in my yard. They also have 6 (I think) blow up bounce-house type areas for the little ones. Some are meant for older kids and a few are meant for the toddler crowd. Good call. They also have a climbing and slide area that puts the local McDonald's playland to shame. Food: Good pizza and hotdog type stuff. It was all very affordable and made fresh to order. Arcade: The arcade tokens are a dime and go a long, long way. Watch for my little guy as he's the one chucking the Skee Ball backwards across the roller floor. me and my friends went to classic to have some fun. we did in fact have fun but the reason I gave it 2 stars is because of how long the food took. I ordered some fries and a single slice of pizza which I thought would take 5 minutes tops. but oh was I so wrong. the worker told me it would take 15-20 minutes. that was a shock but said that it was fine. after 30 minutes of not getting my food I go up to check on my order and they only had my fries ready which had probably been sitting in the heater for about 10 minutes because they weren't hot. I ask about my pizza and they said it would be another 6 minutes. I wait 6 minutes and it's still not done. 45 minutes after I first ordered I finally got my single slice of pizza which was waiting in the heater. no effort to tell guests that their food it ready. they take names for orders but what's the point when you don't even call it out! and if you think I wondered off and my food had been waiting for me, you'd be wrong. me and my friends sat at a table right in front of where you order food. We came here for my nieces birthday party. As a 21 year old guy, the appeal really isn't there for me but my assumption is that 21 year old guys is not the target audience. I will honestly say that this place is a riot for kids. I remember going here as a child and loving it, every time. What is there not to love if you're a child? You have games, skating, bounce houses, laser tag, and pizza! I felt like it was a decent price for what you get for your children to get in and play around. Plus who doesn't love the nostalgic feelings you get as an adult walking into this place and thinking of when you skated in a giant circle trying to maintain your balance. Good stuff. I will say though, that this place was insane the night we went. Parking was a nightmare and when we got inside, kids were running around everywhere! It was hard for me not to step on a child or two during the night. I don't really have much to say from my perspective. This place was a parent's nightmare. Okay, maybe just my nightmare. Kids, noise, bright colors, and cheaply made prizes that will inevitably get fought over and lost. Our family visited wiith 4 adults, 2 pre-teens, and 2 toddlers. The kids all loved it. The older kids ran free and even got to do a zip-lining activity. The toddlers had fun in the bouncy castles and roaming the games section collecting tickets. The olds all played the games, wasting more money on tokens than we should've. It seemed like this place gets quite a lot of foot traffic and some of the inflatables were taped and re-taped and still had holes. It doesn't seem to bother the kids at all, but some adults my find this an issue. If my kids were to rate it, it'd get a full 5-stars. Realistically, anyone who's going to be dragged here by their kids will appreciate a grown-up's perspective, hopefully. read more

Came here for a birthday party...man what a mad house! The parking lot was packed, plus they just dropped off a school bus full of kids! If you are wanting to come here during the week make sure to come on Wed nights! It is Unlimited everything (except bowling/rock wall). My kids were skating, playing laser tag, and enjoying the bouncing. They have food there, pizza, hot dogs, nachos, etc. Prices weren't bad. 7.50 for the Unlimited wrist band. The 10" Pepperoni Pizza, Hot Dog, and a pitcher of Sprite was only 11. They seem to have quite a few "games" on the roller rink, races and such. They have lots of Themed Rooms to rent for your birthday party. Place would have been a dream if I was a lot younger. Unfortunately they increased their pricing and don't have an option to do just an hour of play. They also refused to let me use my BOGO wasatch savings coupon on a combo pass. I reached out to management weeks ago and haven't heard back. The staff was short with me and would tell me "no" to any questions I had and nothing else so we ended up leaving. Very unprofessional staff and management. We came in at 7:30 and paid for three hours knowing that they closed at 10:00. We were fine with that. I had 7 kids with me, my two teenagers played separate. After two hours, a manager had one of the staff cut off my teenage girls' wristbands, telling them that their time was up. They didn't even check the time on the wristband to see that I had paid for three hours. After I had approached them and told them I paid for 3 hours, they said okay and that the girls could still play. No apology from staff or management! I honestly feel it was because my teenage girls were assumed to be at the establishment without supervision and they wanted to kick them out. It was very unprofessional for the management to instruct the staff to cut off their wristbands without even checking their wristbands. I will not recommend this place to anyone!!!!! read more

This place was amazing clean for a place that a bunch of snotty little kids running around! We bought a package that is offered on Mondays for FFE (Family Home Evening) and boy were we pleased with the atmosphere. For a low price you get pizza and a jug of Root beer plus a slue of amenities. With this package we all were able to do bounce houses, skating, playground, laser tag, and a Pirate's Cove. Deserves a zero! Bathrooms were closed, but they had honey buckets outside, oh yeah!!! I'll sum this up quickly: There were so many ppl here I really believe it was a safety hazard, plus they lacked the employees to make this place run smoothly and safely. Ends up they had an elementary school there and a couple birthday parties. I waited 30 min to get pizza for my kids and it was cold and not that good. A lady from the birthday party was next to me in line and was furious they didn't tell her about the elementary school being there, we had a good chat. Then we go to a bouncy house area where I see a girl with ice on her face because someone jumped on her on a bounce house that has this 8 foot drop off and kids are jumping into a foam pit. One employee and like 50 kids!!! The employee looked miserable and said nothing and even walked off a few times. Kids were doing flips and all sorts of stuff into the pit. We were told that are shoes needed to be taken off and put in the shoe holders. Ok, heres where I got upset......Yeah.....my kids shoes got stolen! Brand new KEEN shoes. I told the manager and he said 'oh, someone else's shoes and scooter got stolen....it happens, but we're not responsible. If you find the person come get me and I'll talk to them.' I said, if I find them I'll handle it and kick their butt. CONCERNED PARENTS!! Classic Skating in Layton should be avoided at all costs. 3 weeks and 2 days ago my lovely daughter Ava lost her new glasses in a foam pit measuring 20x20x6 feet. I immediately alerted the worker of said lost item. I was given a clip board listing all items that have been lost. My name was listed after approximately 50 names. The worker stated they clean it out each night. I called back after hours and they stated that they actually do not clean it out each night but every 2 WEEKS. Yup! Disgusting right? I waited the two weeks and went into the business. I was told that they did not clean it out this week but will next week. Well guess what? I went in today after waiting 3 weeks to hear that "No, we got the carpets cleaned so we will do it next week." I threw a 3 year old fit....Can you imagine the diseases that are looming in there? I told the manager that I would call the Health Department. He responded with "We are not regulated" Seriously? So I called the Health Department. I was told by them that "Yes, children ball and foam pits are not regulated" Isn't this infuriating? More regulation is needed to protect our children. Please share....change is needed. read more

Fun for the kids, from a parent perspective- it's a bit over priced and a bit dirty. The rafters have about 6 inches of dust on them. You can't really understand the DJ because the speakers are so loud it distorts his voice. We ordered snacks, I was told one price, charged a higher price, then I was told a different higher price. I asked for a refund, cashier forgot what I ordered- and couldn't do the math in her head, she retrieved a 'manager/supervisor' then they told me they were out of the specific coins they needed to refund the change portion. I walked away without my refund. Too many employees walking around socializing instead of helping customers. On the rink tonight, there was a 'ref' blowing whistles at people being unsafe... This was the first I've seen of said 'ref'- it actually did keep the rink safer. I did notice they cleaned the carpets since last time I visited. There were soap spots up the wall. The tables were clean. There must have been a window open because cotton was flying in and was floating everywhere. Kids had fun playing the rink games, I think the rink games should be separated by age group. DJ kept turning lights on and off- probably about 75 times in the 4 hours we were there. Some of the other kids that were there "snuck" into the bounce houses and other attractions. If they are going to charge extra for attractions, they probably should keep a closer eye on who goes in or out. Bounce houses are getting old and torn. All in all, I'll probably go again, for my kids. I'll eat somewhere else before hand, take a IBU, and bring some hand sanitizer. read more
