I went to the Ratatouille showing and Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs. It's a fun new experience…read morefor Utah that is about $50 per person. The food is tasty, and you can tell the team is working hard to make the experience seamless with the show. I only have two critiques. 1.) I wish they posted the menus to look over before you purchase. I hate blue cheese and was served blue cheese on my salad and the ratatouille, in a dark movie theater... Not the type of surprise I'd like. Had I known that was going to be on the menu I would have chosen a different show. For $100 (date of two) Id like to be able to enjoy all the food served. 2.) I wish they gave you real silverware from the start. I'd rather have to reuse my silverware, than be given a plastic fork that I can't cut up my food with. At the cloudy chance meatball show they gave out Jell-O sardines (gummy fish-shaped candy in Jell-O) with no utensils... I guess it was a finger food? It's rather awkward to eat Jell-O that way imo. Then they served breakfast (scrambled eggs bacon, and a tough waffle with syrup) with a plastic fork. Then they served the steak with real utensils. When they started cleaning our table to make room for the next meal I noticed them asking for the utensils back. I hung on to mine regardless and I'm glad I did because when they brought out a large meatball it was served with another plastic fork. For context I have braces, so I can't easily bite into things and want to be able to cut up my food to eat comfortably. Ps they served popcorn each time and I like that

I am writing this review from a guest's perspective, not someone who hired the venue directly, so…read moretake it for what it's worth. My first impression was that this is right on a busy street and has very little parking. It's not an attractive place from outside-it's very dated and looks like a retail space-maybe an old vacuum shop or something. It doesn't scream "special event." Inside, there's a large room that can be setup in a variety of ways. When I first arrived, the room was setup for the ceremony with chairs and some benches. The group went outside for photos (in the parking lot) and when we returned it was reset for dinner. The room can be versatile, but it's nothing spectacular. If you're looking for a low-key venue for a small group, maybe this is a good fit. But if you want an elevated, beautiful experience, you might want to keep looking.

If you've ever wondered about having a banquet here - wonder no more!…read more We were there for a dinner with a fixed menu (Prime Rib or Salmon) and quite frankly, you never go to these things thinking "Oh my goodness, I bet that prime rib will be fantastic". No... we go wondering how much of it we'll have to swallow whole because our teeth aren't quite up to the job of the chewy mound believed to be prime rib on our plate! NOT THIS TIME!! The prime rib was rubbed in rosemary and other herbs and was awesome. Tender and juicy. The part-roast potatoes were also bathed in rosemary and were cooked perfectly. I'll even mention the veggies, which were not your usual soggy mess, but still al dente and tasty. Our friends who had the Salmon raved about how tender and perfectly cooked it was. They were wondering if it had been poached rather than grilled - it certainly looked poached - and looked lovely.

I've spent a lot of time thinking about writing this review. I don't typically write negative…read morereviews because I prefer to give people the benefit of the doubt. However, after my fiancé and I had such a negative experience, I feel it's important to share our story so others can be aware before considering this venue. We booked this venue nearly a year prior to our wedding during an expo. At the expo, the staff seemed disorganized and frazzled. No one could give us clear answers, and they kept asking each other questions. At the time, they were offering a deal on decor, and since I'm a full-time ER nurse and my fiancé is a firefighter/paramedic, neither of us had the time or desire to manage decor or greenery ourselves. So, we decided to go ahead with the venue and paid our deposit. After that, we never heard from anyone again--no follow-up or communication whatsoever. Several months later, my fiancé and I had some financial changes and decided to elope instead of having a big wedding. This was still eight months before the wedding date. We immediately reached out to the owner, who explained that while the deposit was non-refundable, she would refund it if the date was rebooked by the end of January. Since the date was the first Saturday in June, we had no doubt it would be booked by then. On February 2, my fiancé followed up, only to be told that the date had been booked, but the deposit could not be refunded. We feel this was unreasonable, given the ample notice we had provided and the fact that June is a prime wedding date. She strung us along for weeks, and then two days after the deadline, her tone completely changed. She became rude in emails and refused to compromise or work with us. We had mentioned multiple times that if we weren't getting our deposit back, we would need to reconsider our situation and keep our original date. But instead, she rebooked the date, took the new deposit, and informed us that our date was no longer available, meaning we would not receive any refund. My fiancé, being the kind-hearted person he is, tried to reason with her, explaining how upset and ripped off we felt. Her response was to send long, argumentative emails claiming she was in the right. The entire situation was handled very poorly and unprofessionally. In hindsight, I should have read the reviews on Google before booking. This entire experience has been incredibly stressful, especially during an emotional time when we wanted to celebrate our love the way we had hoped. All of our other vendors were understanding and happily refunded our deposits, wishing us the best. Unfortunately, the owner of The Fifth Floor did not demonstrate the same professionalism or tact. I hope this review helps others avoid the same frustration we went through.
