I took my vehicle there for a transmission issue where when cold or driven under 5 miles, the transmission would not shift smoothly. They could not find a cause as there were no codes and while there were signs of transmission leakage and low fluid, they could not determine where it was leaking from. They performed a system flush and replaced the fluid. My experiences with Classics Cadilac, Lexus and now ford service centers have been far below acceptable or normal. I usually don't write reviews but Ford Madison has been absolutely exceptional. I worked with the Salesman Nick Fitzgerald. He reply's to every text I send and has gone above and beyond to help me. Nick was able to get me in a Ford Bronco while I wait I wait on the one I order. He was able to meet me out at classic mentor to do a quick test drive on a Ranger with my dad and personally delivered it to my house after we purchased it and had a liner added by classic. I took my Bronco to Colorado where another Ford dealer ended up damaging my navigation screen. Nick ordered the part for me and worked with the other dealer to ensure they send me a check for the repairs. I've been recommending this dealership to all my friends looking for a Ford. read more

I've had engine codes still on my truck when picking it up (unsatisfactory), still have exhaust leak that is slowly killing me I'm sure. Sales experience was good. Everything after has been subpar. The service department is a nightmare to deal with. Had my truck for almost 2 weeks after saying it would 2 or 3 days. Never got a single phone call from them. I had to call every time and did daily for almost a week. Every answer was always "it'll be done tomorrow" and never an explanation. ZERO communication on their end and obviously very poor service. Definitely will not go back for sales or service after this experience and would not recommend to anyone read more

Went out to Madison to test drives car that they said they had online. They didn't have it and when we asked if the salesman could look to see if anyone else had them he did but seemed irritated. They found one in Mentor and we asked if he could call them before we dive there and he was hesitant so we just left. He did come out to our car while we were getting the number to Mentor's store and said he checked a different system and apologized because he said calling him wouldn't be helpful. Can I even register 0 stars because that is what I would give them. They are difficult to work with. They are incompetent, they use sub par parts to "repair" a term I use lightly, vehicles. They lie and after dealing with them for 6 weeks, we still don't have a repaired car. Be weary of tall tails which they will tell you. You go in for an oil change and come out needing $1,500 worth of repairs. Save your money and go somewhere else. read more

I have been taking my vehicles here for several years in attempts to support local business. In the past 1-1/2 years Classic Ford Madison (Service) has really become what I would call "less than thorough" to "careless" in their work and overall ethic. My 2005 Ford Freestyle was returned to them 6 times for the same repair. i.e, AC Compressor. They claimed work was done that actually was not and proceeded to charge me for it. Needless to say this was escalated by me immediately (and ultimately resolved). However, this should never have occurred. I recently asked the Service Manager for their professional "opinion" of a vehicle I was planning to purchase - Ford F150 Fx4 and asked them to please take a look at it while it was in for a repair from the Car Sales Company. Received a "clean/good" recommendation as a "solid" vehicle. In less than 1 month this vehicle has required: a steering shaft and replacement of U joints; front brakes and calipers; engine dip stick; transmission fluid change, transmission dip stick and O-ring, #7 engine coil with spark plug replacement - as you can imagine, all well over $1,000.+ in repairs and I pull it off of their lot to have the vehicle now throw a service engine soon light - returned immediately to have Service Manager review and the following O2 Sensor Code(s) showed (P0053 and P2195). Note: Never had the service engine light on prior to their repair! Oh, I may add that the vehicle report card now indicates "Right Front Spring" may require attention/repair! Is this not a potential safety issue? Now wouldn't you have noticed some of this stuff during the vehicle examination I requested be done prior to my purchase? While they are currently repairing the O2 Sensor issue, I can honestly say that this place really has a lot to be desired though I will allow you to draw your own conclusions. I feel as a Master Technician and Service Manager you should definitely check/re-check your work! Evidently this was NOT done on many levels on several occasions. While things can and do happen, this is now what seems to be Classic Ford Madison protocol. I sincerely don't believe I will be returning after this visit. Return visits should be a rarity and not the norm. I believe I am now cured of trying to support this local business. They don't seem to care much about good customer service, at this time, I don't feel they are reliable/reputable/honest, and I feel as though they do not fix things properly the first time! Someone really should look into these practices. If this is a "Classic" mentality/practice/protocol, then it really needs to change! While the Classic Moto is to make money, it should also be to do the right thing the first time. Very disappointed in the Service Department entirely. read more
