I hired these two brothers back in May for my wedding that was this past Saturday. I tried to meet…read morewith them in person a month before the wedding, but I kept being given the run-around that schedules were making it impossible to meet in person. Had an in-person meet scheduled that they canceled due to "illness." Finally did a conference call barely a week before the wedding to finalize the menu. We were to have six different sandwiches, two of which would be vegetarian, a salad, potato chips, and pickles. I wanted 150 servings, so 25 servings of each sandwich. I was told that two slider rolls (which is what Jake wanted to use) made one serving and I was told that two half-tortillas made one serving. What they delivered was so far from 300 servings - we counted the number of servings delivered (again, this was for my WEDDING), and there were 140 servings delivered. Hardly enough to feed all the people at my reception. Zero pickles, by the way. Further, one of the vegetarian options was completely missing. Even more upsetting and disappointing was the fact that they promised this would be perfect. They promised stainless steel trays, clear bowls for salads, and cruets and bowls for dressings and condiments. Instead, the sandwiches were delivered on cheap plastic trays, the salad was delivered in cheap aluminum roasting pans (and there were seven of these trays - entirely too much salad), the potato chips were also in cheap aluminum pans, and the condiments and dressings were in cheap kitchen squeeze bottles. I had high hopes. While the food was tasty, it was far from perfect, and it was an embarrassment for me and my new spouse to have our guests try to eat what they could. Many guests left hungry because we ran out of food - oh, they brought more food over an hour later (all roast beef sandwiches and nothing else) and they were thrown away. I think it best these brothers stick to the office lunches and say away from the formal gatherings. They broke my heart by making their presentation not only far from perfect but also for delivering less than the required food. At $10 per person, I got jipped.
