very very small,yet cozy place. Decent selection of cigars, cigarros, and hukah tobacco--nice and knowledgable staff *there's usually one to two people per evening* You can rent a hookah, and bring it upstairs (reminiscent of grandma's attic) with some couches, dim lighting and smoke with a group which is wonderful! :) I like the homey atmosphere. Smoking is allowed in the lower portion of the store--so cigarette and cigar smoke WILL be in the air--if you don't like that and are just going in for a gift then this is not the place for you. I do suggest trying it after dinner when you're in doylestown--great end to a great night :) read more

Yelp has since merged the two businesses together** This place is such a dump and I had such a horrendously awful experience here that I felt compelled to create the business on Yelp just so I could write a review. My girlfriend and I came on a Thursday night at around 8pm, zero customers in the house except for two employees and a couple of their friends which is a bad sign to begin with. The lounge is set up as a cozy attic, an interesting idea but one that fails to deliver in this environment. The place honestly looks like a secret hangout that a middle schooler created in the top floor one of his realtor mother's open houses for his friends to smoke weed in. Cramped, dirty, awkward, illegitimate, and juvenile. We choose a couch in the corner, are handed menus, decide to go with the watermelon shisha. Also ordered some green tea. Suddenly someone starts playing obnoxiously loud rap music (I'm talking like full-on club volume -- my girlfriend and I are still the only ones here) out of a laptop through a PA system. The employees, and whoever they were with, (kids -- like fresh out of high school) began to honestly act completely drunk/stoned and were sort of jumping around, yelling incoherent sentences at each other dotted with various incidents of "BRO" and "PUSSY." I turn to my girlfriend open-mouthed. This is a business and it stays open? Okay so the hookah comes, the guy brings it over WHILE SMOKING OUT OF IT. Uhhh, "bro," do you honestly think your customers want to see you puffing on the hookah you are bringing them? In what fucking universe is that even remotely acceptable? Jesus. He brings the tea and it is just hot water in styrofoam cups with tea bags on the side. At this point I wasn't expecting anything else. The hookah itself was fine -- standard Starbuzz stuff. The hose gave off a strange taste that perhaps suggested it hadn't been cleaned in a while. It took about ten minutes for the pipe to warm up but after that it was puffing quite nicely. Still, it hardly mattered. We tried to make conversation over the insanely loud hip hop music but to no avail (at this point we were STILL the only customers); also the employees and their friends (who kept coming and going like this was a crack den) just kept being obnoxious assholes the entire time.....it was honestly like being the only sober people at a frat party. We wanted to smoke more but we also wanted to get the hell out. Paid a $20 bill and left while the employees were still hootin' and hollerin' upstairs. We stayed for about an hour, not one person who wasn't greeted by obnoxious calls "YO WASUP BRO HOW YOU FUCKIN BEEN" walked through the door while we were there. It's a complete wonder how this place stays open. AVOID. read more

My ex boyfriend LOVED this tiny gem of a tobacconist. He is/was a cigar afficianado and this place had some rare cigar that he had been seeking. I like a puff or 2 in good measure - but am no "knower" of all things cigar - but this was a nice, friendly little shop right in the center of D-Town (wedged in between the Fountain House (aka Starbucks) and Buck County Coffee. Don't get a gift certificate here...in CT, an expiring gift certificate is against the law. We relocated to Doylestown from CT in 2009, and my wife got me a gift certificate for Christmas (expiration 12/31/10). Unfortunately, in all the unpacking, we misplaced the gift certificate. As time passed, we forgot about it, but suddenly found it recently. My wife went in to redeem it, only to be told that the the $50 she gave them in good faith--that hadn't expired in their bank account, by the way--expired for me. They refused to honor the certificate...must I conclude that they are therefore dishonorable? The woman rudely turned my wife away and said it was no good and there was nothing she was going to do for her. UPDATE: SAVE EXPIRED GIFT CERTIFICATES!! I recently learned that this is only half the story. I was told that two years after a gift certificate greater than or equal to $50 expires, stores that issue them must submit the money to the state treasury by April 15 under escheat laws, as "abandoned property." I can then claim it back, if these merchants persist in acting dishonorably. read more

Classic Cigar Parlor - Fireplace! - Tobacco Shops Near Me - Doylestown, Pennsylvania

I'm not exactly sure what to feel about this place. I live in the middle of the country in Bucks County so my cigar lounge selections aren't that great. This place is in the heart of Doylestown, has a small lounge area next to a beautiful fireplace, as well as a small patio area in the back. The owner seems to be a very sweet woman who tries to be helpful and accommodating. However, the prices there are OUTRAGEOUS-- for example, a Padron Series 2000 which normally retails for $4.50-$5 in almost every other place I've been costs a whopping $7 at this place. Just buyer beware is all. Go in knowing that you're gonna pay a huge cost over MSRP for a sad little selection. read more

A really nice place to buy your favorite cigars, or better yet - sit down with the regulars and have a smoke by the roaring wood fire. Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights are favorites with the regulars, and first timers are welcome to join in. Little known fact - Back in the day (1940-1960), this room was Oscar Hammerstein's favorite place in Doylestown for dinner when it was part of an inn. He usually took a table right in front of the fireplace, and word is that he wrote most of "South Pacific" at that very spot. (His house is now a B&B on the outskirts of town at Highland Farm). The owner "JT" is a hoot - always a big huggy welcome for her regulars - and she is happy to help rookies find the best first cigar. Upstairs you can find the Hookah Parlor - use the outside door to the left of the cigar store's entrance. This is the best cigar store for miles around - check it out - enjoy! read more

Pretty poor selection of cigars. No A. Fuente, maybe one or two Macanudo, no Dunhill, just really anemic selection. Service was non-existent. Guy acted as if I barged into his living room on game day. He was literally watching a football game and could clearly care less that there was a customer in the store. read more

This place is old, and a pillar of D-town culture. The building dates back to the late 18th century, and if you wind up smoking in the parlor upstairs (which I recommend), it's apparent; old wood-beams across the ceiling, tileworks all over the walls, a creaky wooden floor and a wide brick fireplace. And despite its age, if you can get a fire lit, a cigar burning, and one of the big, cushy chairs, you'll be comfortable and content for hours. The quality and maintenance of the cigars is impeccable. The staff is kindly and knowledgeable, and all in all, the place has character, as well as a very central location in Doylestown. read more

About 3 years ago I purchased a Xikar Axia for 70$ from this shop in Doylestown, with the purchase they informed me of a lifetime warranty. a few months later the fuel gauge broke and the lighter would no longer hold butane. I returned the lighter to the Doylestown Classic Cigar Parlor where I purchased it and they said they would send it back and contact me with whether they were able to repair it or if they would just replace the whole lighter. It has been 2 years and I have not heard back from this company. If you support dishonest business practices, this is the place for you. read more

shop owner incredibly rude, selection limited at best with many cigars that have "bloomed" pipe tobaccos cloyingly sweet with no sign of any appreciation for anything other than an average(at best) smoke. counter person complained after handling one cigar which was without question moldy not bloomed as the employee suggested, bloom has never smelled like my grandmothers basement. the fact of the matter is i would have purchased several cigars seeing as it was fathers day and i was looking for a smoke with the old man, but because of the way i was spoken to immediately left the shop with absolutely no intention of returning. if you're looking for a great local cigar shop try "A Little Taste of Cuba" in New Hope, the staff is friendly courteous knowledgeable and their cigars are perfectly kept, without question the better stop of the day. read more
