Again, whatever, I need my car and I'm held hostage by the shop so I approve the work. Well now there's continuing electrical issues with my car directly relating to the technicians bad crimp job on the harness they replaced and made me pay for. So I have to bring the car back to get fixed, do not get a courtesy vehicle, and get talked down the whole time I'm there. Come like 3 days after I finally get my car back I found two giant lugs left in my wiper area, cracking the inside of the plastic. The major negative was that the final price came out nearly twice the original quote: close to $600 instead of the original $320. This was, I was told, because an additional part had to be sourced and installed. While I was already disappointed in this unexpected cost doubling, the icing on the cake was that I wasn't asked if I wanted to proceed with the repair. I was just informed that the cost had jumped, that the repair was complete, and that I now needed to pay up. This suggested to me that the original assessment of the damage had not been as thorough as it could have been. While a quote is an estimate, not a certainty, it's not good practice for businesses that run on quotes to let customers pay twice what they were originally expecting. In this situation, for instance, I would have appreciated a discount on the unexpected new part. That might have eaten into their profit margin, but it would have guaranteed that I would become a return customer, whereas now, I am not so sure.

My check engine light came on and they ran a test (for free!!!) to find out it was because the had cap was loose. They reset the engine light and I was on my way. I also need a new muffler and both brothers did a thorough check to see what is needed. They checked my tires, exception from emissions (I drive under 5,000 miles a year), and so much more. Scheduled my muffler appointment for a couple of weeks from now because they're so busy. There's a reason for that!!!
