We've now been about three times and Julian always gives him a cute and consistently great cut. Unlike the other place we used to go, our dog looks forward to going every time. As a bonus, he's there for only two hours compared to the four hours we had to leave him at the other groomer. As well, he's able to drink water here and mingle with other dogs. He, and we, love it!

No one wants the anxiety of sitting in a cage watching everyone get a haircut. After reading the reviews, I decided to give Doggiessimo a try. Naturally Saturday's we're booked and I asked to be called if there was a cancellation or no show. They were super friendly and when they had a cancellation, did follow up. We've been loyal ever since. A heads up that you will definitely need to make an appt a ways out if you want a Saturday. Hopefully with most WFH during corona, it's easier to get an appt now. I have a Maltese Yorkie and she's on a 3 month schedule where she goes from Chihuahua to Wookie. I'm so thankful we found Doggiessimo!

He smells amazing and his body hair looks great. She obviously made him feel comfortable. As you'd expect with mobile grooming, it was super convenient. She was also very communicative and helped us reschedule our appointment when our plans changed. The downside: We asked for very minimal trimming on his face, just enough so we could see his eyes again, and we lost a lot more fluff than we would've liked and are not a fan of his "haircut". All of his eyebrows are gone, and the blending around the face looks rough. I am sure this had a lot to do with him being a wiggly puppy, but we would've strongly preferred not to have this much hair removed in the first place, especially if the end result was going to be jagged. On top of this, I've found a lot of little snarls in his coat immediately post-groom, which is a little frustrating: we've been brushing him daily to prevent this, and his puppy fur hasn't been prone to tangling prior to this. Again, it's very possible he was getting too overstimulated for Amy to continue with brushing, but it would've been nice for her to tell us this. Overall, I think Amy is great for puppies and likely most dogs without a doodle coat, but I think we'll be going elsewhere for follow up visits.

I'm a…read morenew patient and I was wondering if you all express anal glands" to which the only response was "WELL, we're a grooming service so we don't have patients" (or whatever nonsense) accompanied by a shrill and ugly laugh. No follow up comment. Only intentional condescension. I really do have thick skin, but I just found the lack of an actual response and lack of professionalism to be egregiously pretentious. I explained to her that I had been calling around all morning and excused myself for the slip of the tongue, I thanked her for her condescension and said goodbye. Take of this information what you will, but in my experience when a 15 second interaction (the fist 15, mind you) is all it takes for a potential client to take valuable time out of their morning (it's 9:22am) to leave you a 1-star review on yelp, you are a rinky dink business with rinky dink "adults" masquerading as professionals. In my experience, when a human's first instinct is fully and intentionally be condescending you while ignoring your polite request it doesn't bode well. I didn't write this review because I was offended by the immediate condescension to the first thing I said (an obvious and understandable slip of the tongue), but more so to let folks know my experience. Within 15 seconds I was left with ZERO confidence that they would care for my dog correctly and professionally. It's so hard to find good care for my dog, and I don't trust her with just anyone, and was reminded this morning that the industry is riddled with unprofessional amateurs. In this case, and my estimation, a self-absorbed novice. Take heed of the other 1 star reviews on here and they'll paint a clear picture of the person you'll be entrusting to care for your special loved one. I decided to try Velvet Paws after reading all the 5 star reviews. I made an appointment for my two mild mannered Cairn Terriers. I will never take my dogs here after what I would call an extremely unprofessional experience. Here are my observations: + I was quoted $65 per dog over the phone when I made the appointment, which is what I had paid other groomers in the past. When I met with Katie, I told her that one of my dogs had some matted fur, so she said that for both dogs it would be around $150. I assumed $20 more for the mats, which I am used to paying extra, but usually it's around $5-10. Okay, so not that big of a deal but still on the high side. And again, all those 5 star reviews led me to believe that it would be worth the extra money. + Katie also informed me that she doesn't take plastic. In this day and age I would call this VERY unusual, and she should have told me when I made the appointment. So now I would need to make a trip to the bank to take out cash. + Initially I was told that the dogs would be ready at 11 am, then I received a text that it would be11:30 am. I communicated via text that I was leaving an appointment and would be there closer to noon. I arrived at 11:55am. Katie's hours are 9-12pm. She also texted that it would be more than the $150 she quoted me because the matted dog took longer. And she left an extremely "annoyed" phone message wanting to know where I was... I saved it and replayed for my husband. You can hear the impatience in her voice. It was scary sounding and I started to worry for my dogs. + When I arrived, she told me that the price was now $165. for both dogs (because the matts took longer to brush out? so I ended up paying $35 more? that's insane, he's a 26lb dog). She seemed incredibly annoyed that I did not get there at 11:30, that I ran 25 minutes late, even though her limited business hours are listed 9am - noon. When I apologized, she said she had "other things to do", shuffled my dogs to me without ever asking what I thought of the cut (it was horrible, they basically both were shaved, and unevenly which my husband pointed out later). She also said that she had to muzzle one of my dogs when she brushed him out. That's a first. My dogs are 9.5 years old and have never been muzzled during a grooming session. I can only imagine he may have been sensing her impatience, anger or negative energy. + When I asked for change from $170 cash, I heard an audible sigh, yes....a loud AUDIBLE sigh (the price was so off from what I usually pay, that I wasn't tipping). She seemed irritated that I would ask for $5 back. Handing me the cash she never smiled, nor said "thanks for coming in" and more importantly, she never asked what I thought of their new "cuts" (basically they were both shaved like I said above). + My dogs collars and leashes were not put back on them. I've never been given back "loose" dogs. It seemed like she was super upset that I was not there right on the dot of 11:30 to pick them up even though her hours are till noon (and I was there before noon), and that this last courtesy was too much for her to do. She acted like waiting for me was the biggest imposition anyone has ever done, and had she been able to take plastic, I would not of had to make a run to the bank in the first place. I have two sweet Cairn Terriers, I will never take them here again. The place is sketchy from the outside, it looks like a dirty strip mall. Inside is not much better. And I don't believe all the 5 star reviews on this page. It's not sitting right with me, and feel compelled to speak up so that others know the truth. In closing, here are my complaints - Price (much higher than the $130 I was quoted. (He'd been seeing the same groomer in LA for 6 years.) I tried two other groomers in Seattle before finding Milo's Magnificent Mutts. The previous groomers I had horrible experiences at. Coming home with a bleeding dog. Kristina made me feel at ease and took very detailed care of my dog. She looked at pictures for reference, asked me lots of questions and did a lovely job! The inability to help familiarize a puppy to the grooming process left our dog terrified of the groomers to the point where we have slowly transitioned to cutting his hair at home. As a brand new dog owner, I'm pretty frustrated with the lack of patience and the lasting impact it has had on my dog.

I went in for my first time a couple months ago and had an okay experience. The appointment making process was very easy and drop off was as well. They have pick up spots out front that makes it easy for parking on a busy street. Additionally, they take cute seasonal photos of your pup for you after the grooming. For the groom itself, I shared photos with them when I dropped off my pup based on her usual grooming that I do in Bellevue, but was looking to try this place out because it is much closer. They said it would be easy to replicate, but when I picked her up, it was not close to the photo. While they did a great job cleaning her paw fur, the rest of the cut was very average and quite expensive for the quality I got ($150 vs. $100 at her usual groomer). I personally won't be back, but proceed at your own risk!
