I will never come back here. I waited well over an hour to be seen and they make you pay copay before not after so you're stuck.

I'll spare you the details for why I was there but they took good care of me and I didn't have to wait around for very long.

I have consistently had good experiences here and the wait is usually relatively short.

TREAT THEIR PATIENCE LIKE GARBAGE NOT HUMAN-BEINGS!!!!!! Pretentious, arrogant, know it all staff…read morethat was wrong at every-turn! The type of care was NONE at all, quality was the WORST I've ever seen, my experience is, we'll never go back. My wife came with me to a funeral in Washington. She fell and hurt her foot while there, being out of network she roughed it out until we got back. She went to this hospital and I stayed with our children. She went in and after telling triage what happened, their exact words were, "we're not giving you pain pills". My wife has never used anything in her life and just because she said she was im Pain after describing what happened a few days prior they assumed she can't be in that much pain so she is seeking substances. To top it off, once time to call her back they made her walk. No wheelchair assistance no support for her foot, NOTHING!!! THEY SENT HER HOME SAYING SHE WAS FINE. Want to know what the result was? WE HAD TO GO TO A DIFFERENT HOSPITAL TO FIND OUT HER FOOT WAS BROKE !!!!! The Dr.s here couldn't see the fracture apparently or THEY DIDNT CARE!!! She broke the smallest bone in her foot and the hospital treated her like trash the whole process and couldn't even diagnose her. I have my own experiences with Norman regional, NEVER WILL I GO, rather DIE!! Want to know the funny part? My wife has been an LPN for 6 years, this hospital treated her like she was garbage from triage, DR's, Nurses, and even mgt. when she called to complain. She didn't want to appear like a no it all Nurse, so she didn't tell the staff. If you want to be DISRESPECTED and treated like a a drug addict because you broke something, this is your spot. I HIGHLY ADVISE ANY OTHER HOSPITAL THEN REGIONAL. If you guys didn't treat every one of your patience like TRASH, maybe people would come to you.

So after waiting in the waiting room for 1 1/2 hours, we were only 5th in line, my wife finally got in at 8:30. The doctor on duty was horrible. She told my wife she gave him way to much much benadryl, (she gave him half the recommended dose for his weight), and that his infection was so bad we had to go to the ER. She made my wife feel so bad she was crying. After getting into the ER they said that we didn't give him to much and that even if we had it wouldn't hurt him, it would just make him go to sleep. They also said the infection was normal pink eye, and cleaned up his eye and gave us a prescription, some medicine, and sent us home. If the doctor at the Urgent Care was this rude and ignorant on a simple case like my son's, I can only imagine what she would be like on something serious. Anyway if you are in Norman, stay away from here and go to the West side Urgent Care on Tecumseh St. by the new hospital. It will save you time and grief.

This visit…read morewas a minor emergency (bad laceration) and the doctor was pleasant and fixed my injury quickly. It was almost $100 for my short visit, but felt worth it, as I was uninsured. The bill in the mail for the bandages two weeks later? Not worth it. The second time I visited they misdiagnosed me with 2 different things, turns out the 2 "unrelated things" were one and the same problem (a major infection) and I ended up in the ER two nights later. That same visit I was given almost 10 X-rays because the nurses were messing up the takes. The whole time they were nice, but did not listen to my complaints or concerns about a larger problem. I had a fever and a high white blood cell count but they couldn't figure our what was wrong. Instead of actually investigating more they made some broad assumptions and sent me home in pain with the wrong diagnosis and medication. I can't complain about their bedside manners, they are nice people, but they really screwed up bad.

I'm giving this two stars because the sweet girl at the front desk and a nice intake nurse. But I…read morewould not go back there. I would try either another urgent care facility or just go to the emergency room. My daughter was having a severe allergic reaction, which had lasted two days with a red rash and hives all over her body. We couldn't control it with Benadryl. There was only one other person in the waiting room when got there, but it took us over three hours. Both the last nurse nurse and doctor on staff that night were rude to us. We waited over an hour before we were taken back to a room, and then we waited about an hour in the room to see the doctor. During that time the doctor and the nurse kept coming into the room and then leaving the room. Once the doctor came and stayed to see my daughter, he spent less than five minutes with us and didn't seem to know any of the long history or information we had given to the intake nurse. he abruptly cut me off, took a quick look at her and said he would give her a steroid shot, A steroid prescription, and a prescription antihistamine. She was also throwing up, so at my request, he prescribed some Zofran. And, as an afterthought, and he prescribed an EpiPen in case it got worse after she left. When I asked him if he can tell us what was wrong, he said, "no", we would have to see an allergy specialist. I told him I wasn't sure about the steroid shot but we would take a prescription for one so if it wasn't better by the next day and we felt she still needed it, she could take it. He promptly left and didn't return. After waiting for about an hour for the prescriptions, I was afraid they had forgotten about us, so I went looking for someone to ask about them. I spotted the doctor coming out of another room and asked him about the prescriptions. He said the nurse was busy, but she would be coming at some point. When she finally came in, she was rude, and ignored me. We had some questions about the medications, but she couldn't answer them. We asked if we could speak to the doctor, but she said, "no" that he was with other patients. So we left to find a doctor again. We caught him in the hallway again. This is where he got extremely rude. I tried to ask him about the steroid prescription and he got all defensive, claiming that I didn't want steroids anyway. He gave my daughter 15 days of prednisone at 120 mg per day for four days, 60 mg, for another four days, and 30 mg for another 3 days. I asked him why it was so much and so long, he just said that's the way he does it without explaining why he does it that way. I continued to press him about why he was giving her such a large dose, and I asked if there was a smaller dose. When I asked him about the side effects of steroids he responded in a huff, "haven't you taken steroids before?" I responded she had only been given steroids once before in an IV and had not ever had a full course of them prescribed. He was extremely put out by having to have any discussion about possible side effects and about a smaller dose. Eventually, we agreed on Medrol, a smaller dose for five days and only less than 20 mg per day in weaning down. I felt patronized, belittled, and I did not feel comfortable with our treatment or ability to understand the medication that he was prescribing.
