One person throwing and the other person is the safety trainer/leader/facilitator.

I found Class Axe Throwing through Groupon and went as a group of three people. The facility staff paired us up with another group of five and we went to our station after filling out some waiver forms (which can be done online, ahead of time). On a Friday at 4pm, the place was full (although not uncomfortably packed) as there were two other group stations there that were both full of people. The first 30 minutes of the experience involves a safety lesson, but really, the safety part of everything is pretty brief and this time is a way to become familiar with the axe and learn to throw properly. No experience necessary! After that, the lights go out and they turn on fun colored lights and the games begin! The facilitator made us all count 1-2-1-2-1.. to pair us off, which meant that our group of three was split up (as was the other parties members) to make two even teams of four. Our two teams then competed in a few games using the board as a way to score points (for example, the bullseye is worth 6 points, the rings are varied points, etc.). The games were light in competition and provided a nice structure to the entire experience. Really made the time fly by! The facilitator had fun with it all, which was really appreciated. She truly made the experience more than what we expected it to be. She had everyone write down their "axe" names on a name badge and come up with our axe-related team name (Bad Axer, Ol' Battle Axe, Great Axe-ample, for example). She made jokes and kept everything really fun and lighthearted. She was great with giving little tips to throwers in between throws to help them improve. She did leave our group a few times to help sell beer at the beer station, but we were still able to throw (following the safety rules on our own) and practice in between games until she returned. And yes, they sell beer on site, but no wine as of yet (although, if they read this - consider selling wine or hard cider for non-beer drinkers). :) Going into this adventure, I wasn't sure what to expect, but we had an awesome time and would definitely go back. It's a great activity to do with a group, with out-of-towners, or just on a cold, Colorado day! Location/Parking: Class Axe is located in an industrial-type area, near (at the time of writing this) a Halloween haunted house-type place. I think they may actually share the same building because the hallway to the restrooms seemed to demonstrate that they were connected. Parking was not clearly identified, but there were options available. Class Axe is also not far from The Source hotel, which has excellent food and drink options!

We decided at the last minute to try axe throwing, this place was super convenient with daytime slots same day! They served a smaller selection of bottled sodas and candy bars but they will be installing a bar soon! We had a great time, our instructor Erin was super cool and helped us with great pointers on how to throw. We were a group of three and so were partnered with another couple. The games we played were fun, I really enjoyed the free throwing time. Overall it was a great experience and once they get the bar installed and open it's going to be an awesome hang out spot :)

This was my husband and my second time here & we decided to bring our girls for Father's Day. Kyle (Axezilla) was absolutely amazing & took the time to really teach the girls in relaxed & positive way. He made the games fun & we had a blast. We look forward to going back.

Great spot for a birthday celebration. We had 6 friends and had a great time. Ryker was a terrific host. Highly recommended for mixed group or date night.

You should wear something thicker than gym shoes if you have (like hiking shoes or boots) but not mandatory. I do recommend the ear muffs and face protection. Small warehouse type place with diff rooms.l and a small check in counter up front. Guy was nice. Choose 2 weapons. All weapons were very much well used. A heavy bat and crowbar were my fave. The golf club and light bat didn't do much for us. You can put your phone in a provided holder to record the session which is nice. They play screamo music and you just go at it. The glassware was the most satisfying because it shattered so easily and beautifully. Appliances were a little more difficult to destroy. Also be careful if you are smashing something downwards towards the table (as opposed to forwards towards the wall). You can hurt your wrist, shoulder etc because the table will not give. Fun activity! They also have axe throwing and some kind of glow in the dark paint type activity.

I was out in Denver for work, and we went here for a team building event…read more Checking in and signing the waiver was a breeze. For anyone who wanted some alki, that was easy to pick up and pay. The staff handled our training really well amongst three tables with over 20 of us. The instruction was clear and concise to keep us from hacking off a digit, cutting ourselves, or causing serious injury. The point was to exercise caution with throwing and retrieving our axes. I think we took up eight throwing lanes, and it sounded like we all had fun. Our group played an easy game like darts where we had to score 50, and anything over brought us down to 35. It was fun, intense at some points when we got close to winning, and overall pretty awesome to get the feel of throwing axes. At the end, we learned some trick shots with how to attach two axes together and throw them, throw dual wielding axes with one in each hand (I landed mine woo hoo!), and underhanded which I had no interest in trying, All in all, I had a great time, and I believe I can speak for the group that we did too. I'd definitely like to try a place like this in California. Kudos to the staff for making it a fun day.

Tonight, I had chance to come to this place with friends and got to kick some axe like some badaxe woman!! We had a reservation at 7:45pm for 2-hour window to kick each other's axe. I completely thought that I'd embarrass myself by being pathetic at it but I actually did quite well to my surprise. Alex (our instructor and coach) was a great guy. With his sense of humor, he made us laugh through the explanation/coaching before our session. Once one party in the same section had left he allowed us to use the whole 4 lanes (do you say lanes??) as we were a big group. I don't know if I'm correct on this analysis but If you are good at playing darts, you MIGHT be good at this, too; just think of the axe as a giant dart and throw it at the target!! (I had to admit; if it's your first time, it might not be as easy as it sounds. Just trust the process; you'll get better gradually.) Having a party at an ordinary restaurant/bar with friends might be fun but if you are looking for an untraditional way to have fun with them then why not go to a place like this? In my opinion, it's a bit more healthy way to do it. One night of an axe throwing will definitely create a lasting memories for all of you. At this place that is quite spacious, clean, with great staff, there is no way you'll not have fun! P.S. Alex was kind. As I told him I paid my tab right before I left, he saw me off with a nice handshake. Thanks Alex!!

They have multiple weapon options and interactive projector games that keep things fun and competitive, so it never feels repetitive or boring. It makes the whole experience feel more like an event than just an activity. Even though it's on the pricier side, I've been here probably 12 to 15 times and continue bringing coworkers, dates, and friends. And honestly, the biggest reason isn't just the games or the atmosphere, it's the staff. From the bartenders to the front of house team and everyone running the lanes, the staff consistently makes people feel welcome and keeps the energy fun and relaxed. They're helpful, engaging, and clearly enjoy what they do, which makes the experience better every time. There are plenty of places where you can throw an axe once and move on. This is one of the few places that actually makes you want to come back again and again. Highly recommend for date nights, group outings, or just something different to do.

We arrived around 5:30 PM on a Friday, and there were some groups throwing in the lanes, some in the arcade playing, and a few in the inside seating area enjoying a drink. We ordered our hotdogs and brats, and went to grab a few beers while waiting for them to be ready. While a limited menu, they do it well with choice of toppings added or get the pre-set toppings also. Nick did an excellent job of being the full operation of taking orders, preparing the food, and delivering within the establishment. While waiting for our food, we asked about a lane as walk ins. Isis let us know one would open in about 20 minutes if we wanted it. Our entire time there both Nick and Isis assisted us throughout from getting the lane ready to giving us throwing tips and even assessing us and helping us adapt for success. They both even let us test throwing their own knives which I fell in love with. Both of these employees do an incredible job of engaging with their customers and making them feel so welcome. This was only our second time over the years coming here, but they made us feel like regulars. The arcade is also adequate for a small space. Lizzie's has filled that space the best options like skee-ball, four person PAC Man, a few types of shooting and racing games, air hockey, pinball, and Space Invaders plus many more. If you're looking for a fun time in Brighton that treats you well, Lizzie's is definitely the place to be!
