More fun than we expected. Only reason for not rating higher is that the boards are chewed up.

We had a great time, and our coach (I forgot her name but she's based in the Springs) was great! I would recommend going here to anyone who is new to axe throwing. It was very modern and clean inside as well. We will be going back!

For anyone who wanted some alki, that was easy to pick up and pay. The staff handled our training really well amongst three tables with over 20 of us. The instruction was clear and concise to keep us from hacking off a digit, cutting ourselves, or causing serious injury. The point was to exercise caution with throwing and retrieving our axes. I think we took up eight throwing lanes, and it sounded like we all had fun. Our group played an easy game like darts where we had to score 50, and anything over brought us down to 35. It was fun, intense at some points when we got close to winning, and overall pretty awesome to get the feel of throwing axes. At the end, we learned some trick shots with how to attach two axes together and throw them, throw dual wielding axes with one in each hand (I landed mine woo hoo!), and underhanded which I had no interest in trying, All in all, I had a great time, and I believe I can speak for the group that we did too. I'd definitely like to try a place like this in California. Kudos to the staff for making it a fun day.

They have multiple weapon options and interactive projector games that keep things fun and competitive, so it never feels repetitive or boring. It makes the whole experience feel more like an event than just an activity. Even though it's on the pricier side, I've been here probably 12 to 15 times and continue bringing coworkers, dates, and friends. And honestly, the biggest reason isn't just the games or the atmosphere, it's the staff. From the bartenders to the front of house team and everyone running the lanes, the staff consistently makes people feel welcome and keeps the energy fun and relaxed. They're helpful, engaging, and clearly enjoy what they do, which makes the experience better every time. There are plenty of places where you can throw an axe once and move on. This is one of the few places that actually makes you want to come back again and again. Highly recommend for date nights, group outings, or just something different to do.

You couldn't tell that they had been open for a while as their location is so clean and well kept. They do serve a limited menu as I don't believe there is an official kitchen on site; however, they do encourage bringing in your own food as there's a Domino's next door. They have staff on hand to give you a comprehensive lesson on throwing axes, knives, and my personal favorite, the Chinese star! Good beer selection and they have a long list of quality cocktails which I ordered their old fashioned which was worth every penny.

I could see this being really frustrating on a busy night as I think there were only 3 actual ranges? There was a group of about 9 of us. Our instructor, Jimmy Hendraxe was very informative and helpful throughout the whole process. One of my co-workers actually threw an axe that got launched into the ceiling when trying to perform a trick-shot and while stunned, likely irritated and probably a bit worried for liability reasons, the staff took care of it quickly and continued on with our game. We also did the plate throwing afterwards which was actually much harder then I was expecting. I would definitely go back again, but I do think I would want to plan it around an irregular time. Lastly, it was hard for me to find, I drove around in a circle for a bit after the GPS said I had arrived.

The signs out front were hard to find and it was a weird place to park. Once we got inside we didn't have much direction on what to do but once we figured things out and got rolling it was pretty fun! They had an open axe throwing session so we could practice and then fun games to play while trying to perfect your throw! Overall great time and i'd love to go back.
