The office is clean, modern and full of frames at all price points. The staff is more than friendly and efficient. The visit and checkout were also quick. The optometrist explained everything easily and his demeanor was friendly and competent. He answered all of my questions and didn't rush me at all. I am a diabetic. After receiving a letter in the mail stating that my insurance covered a diabetic eye exam at no charge to me, I looked up who was a provider and found you guys. I made to appointment through your website and included all of my information as well as the insurance info. When I got to the office they made a copy of my insurance card and driver's license. While being pre-test ed I told the optician that I wore contacts and wore a contact in one eye and only wanted what the insurance covered. She told me that the contact lens fit was only $29.00 so I agreed to have the contact lens eye exam. While in the pre-test room she told me that she was going to take pictures of my eye and it was $19.00 and insurance wasn't going to cover. So I thought my bill was going to be $48.00 . The exam was great the Dr dilated my eyes and put a new contact in my eye and scolded me for wearing my contacts too long a sleeping in them and he told me my glasses rx didn't change much. When the Dr returned me to the optician she asked if I was going to get new glases, my response was "what does the insurance cover?" She said a discount, I opted not to get new glasses and to wait on ordering contact lenses. She then told me my total was $130.00 , I had to pay with my debit card and run home (15 miles) to retrieve another form of payment. Do not go to this eye care center! My daughter broke her glasses while at college and when she was home for Thanksgiving we went to Clarkson to get a new pair. $200.00 we spent on this new pair of glasses and when we got them she was already back at school so I had to mail them to her. When she tried them on they were blurry. Even though her old glasses were the same prescription and she could see fine with her old glasses. Clarkson said we would have to pay again to get her eyes checked that there wasn't anything they could do about it. Said the prescription in the glasses were the correct prescription. When I called another local eye doctor they said that a new frame could be at a different angle or the glasses could just need to be seated in the frame. Clarkson didn't offer anything to help us - just acted like it was probably her eyes. Any educated person would be able to figure out that if the old broken glasses were fine then they did something wrong with the new pair. So now I get to pay another eye care provider to help me fix the problem since Clarkson doesn't backup what they provide. In the meantime I'm out $200 and have to pay another provider to fix Clarkson's mistake. Be very aware of the unprofessional service this office is providing. read more

FRAUD! Was told by on of the employees that I had to add of $205 worth of extras because it was the LAW that a minor had to have poly carb lenses. Went home, called my local office and they said that is not true and its NOT the law. Don't trust anything this place says. read more
