The front desk employees are curt, rude and dismissive. 4. They insist you come into the office before they will call in a prescription refill (on a med I've been taking for years). So they can charge you for it 5. They limit their physicians to a MAX of 15 minutes with a patient. AVOID ANY New West Physicians practice and find a Dr. @ Common Spirit or Adventist.

I've seen Dr. Jennifer Hooker several times now and really appreciate the attention she gives me. She's interested in not only the data (labs, bloodwork, vitals, etc.) But we talk about my lifestyle, my diet, how I'm managing stress and my quality of sleep. When was the last time your doc really listened to you? The office is very comfortable and offers magazines that support your health (cookbooks, LCHF research and articles). This alone made me smile when I first checked in. The office staff is also super friendly, patient and also very attentive. I appreciated the atmosphere they create. After all, generally when we're visiting a doc's office, something's up. South Suburban Family Medicine also offers a free support / networking group once a month on Friday afternoons for those just learning about the keto / LCHF lifestyle. How cool is this?!? So my GP and GI are both here in this building. I have MANY medical issues. When moving from another state to CO it is very frightening. We tried another facility and I was not comfortable. As I said I have many medical issues. And when we had been here a few months 2022's heat wave arrived. I ended up very ill and was able to be seen same day by my Dr/GP. Compassionate, fast at diagnosing, fast at formulating a treatment plan. Lab on site for the GP's Since this episode my physician has worked very closely with me the team has assisted in transferring my records, I am able to get appts as long as I look in advance and work with the team. His presence in the birth space was incredibly grounding and something I have not experienced before from a physician. His calm demeanor was felt each time he entered the room. He was honest, communicative, his touch always consented to with tender and gentle hands. My client was in labor for over two days. I strongly believe with any other provider, she would have been coerced and railroaded into a second cesarean using all the fear tactics of mainstream OBs and hospital systems. He encouraged her, and held space for her more than any other provider I have worked along side. He valued my opinion and my input as a Doula, something that I feel is not common in the medical world. I am so grateful for the part he played in my client's birth story and whole heartedly believe without his as the leader of her team she would not have had a successful Vaginal Birth After Cesarea (VBAC). If you are pregnant and open to working with a male provider in the Denver Metro area, you should absolutely reach out and interview Dr. Anselmi.
