Brought in my little big guy for a rabies shot today. I initially asked if they had any first appointments because my bully gets super high strung and anxious fast in places like Drs, groomer, pet store.... but at the Dr. his anxiety is off the charts. It triggers these freak outs and he starts panicking to the point he starts gagging up foam... it's just crazy. Anyhow, they scheduled us before any other dogs got there. The Dr. brought him to a separate room on the side, turned the AC on and brought him some water to try and calm him down a bit. Josh came in to set him up, then the Dr. came in to administer the shot. I really appreciate how accommodating they've been with his anxiety. It's so disheartening to seem him freak out the way he does. I don't know why he does this. At home, on his walks and even at the dog park, he's totally fine. We were out of there in 30min and they gave him a 3 year shot! Thank goodness. One less thing we need to go to the Drs for.

Cupcake lounging around happily.

My dog was having an emergency situation with regards to congestive heart failure and our usual veterinarian in Banning was not available within the timeframe I was looking for, like 2 days max. So I tried Dr. Clark in Indio since he was closer. Although he did a good job with diagnosing my dog and what he needed to survive his health crisis, Dr. Clark was very unsatisfactory in other important ways. Besides having to wait a full hour and a half to see him after making appointments at a specific time, upon my request, he informed me very gruffly that his policy was NOT to let people in the examination room with their pets and if I didn't like it, I could go elsewhere. Wow. I had to continue with that first examination because of my dog's concerning condition. The bill for that visit seemed pretty BIG however I am sure there are some other vets who might charge more. Then, for the return check up visit he signed me up for my dog a couple weeks later, again, even with the appointment, he kept us waiting for one and a half hours. My main intention on the return visit was to get prescription refills from him so I could get the prescriptions for my dog at Chewy or Costco to save me some money (his markup is high). By law he is supposed to do that, from what I have read. However, when I asked him for that, he again gruffly said, "We don't do that and if that's what you want, you need to go elsewhere!" OK, I thought to myself, tomorrow I will let him know to transfer my dog's records to our usual vet in Banning. So that's what I did! When I called him and asked him to transfer my dog's records, he nastily said he'd have to do that next week... and he said I "need to understand" that I "could never go back to his clinic", to which I said "fine". A week and a half went by and the Banning vet's office had not received my dog's records from Dr. Clark. So it got to the point where I called Dr. Clark's office and TOLD them that I WILL BE IN THE OFFICE TO PICK UP MY DOG'S RECORDS BY NOON on the next day. So that's what I did! They were incomplete, so the following day, I had to make the same call to get all the records, and pick them up in his office. I'm sure they didn't want a big scene in their office, so they readily complied with my DEMAND. Unfortunately, although I am grateful that he did help my dog when he needed immediate medical attention, I would never recommend him to anyone. I don't believe he likes people, and perhaps he doesn't even like animals because most animals feel comforted by having their owners with them in the examination room. By the way, HOT TIP: Costco fills dog prescriptions! Around half of what Dr. Clark charges!

Definitely one of the hardest reviews I've ever had to write but also an easy 5 stars to this…read moreurgent care and their staff. Yes, the building is nice, modern and clean but what really makes this place amazing is the staff that work here. I'll forever be grateful for the support and compassion they showed me during one of my hardest moments in life. Rewind: I'm actually not a local and was traveling here from out of town. I was staying in the desert for a few weeks so I brought my dog and cat down with me. In the most stressful of scenarios (traveling and being on vacation) my 13-year old cat fell ill almost immediately after we got into town. After a few days of her seeming not like herself and not eating, I brought her here to the urgent care. A few hundred dollars later and testing it was confirmed that my little one was dying (This wasn't a complete shock as she had been diagnosed with kidney disease a year before with a prognosis of only a few weeks to months to live.) You just never expect to be away from home when something like this happens.... The biggest blessing was that the doctor and techs encouraged me that I could take her home to have a couple more days to process the decision of putting her down/to see if there could be any improvements (even though it wasn't likely.) Having those extra couple days to say goodbye made the process so much more bearable and assured me that I wasn't making a rash decision... when you see your pet declining you know when it's time. I was just really grateful for how the team was so compassionate and flexible with me as I made this decision. While they were all professional, they felt like friends when I needed them most. Bringing my baby back to be euthanized on a holiday weekend was traumatic, but the team handled everything with grace and compassion. They have a special room where you get to say goodbye to your baby and it is very tranquil and lovely overall when dealing with such a tragedy. At the very minimum you would hope for a safe space when enduring something so difficult and they definitely created that....Again the team couldn't have been lovelier. They see these kinds of things every day, but they made me feel like I mattered. The whole process was expensive, but at the end of the day I would do anything for my animals so it just comes with the territory. Looking back, it was worth every penny to make an informed and educated decision and with how well everything was handled from start to finish that I'm so grateful for this team. I hope you find yourself here under less painful circumstances, but I am here to say that this is an amazing urgent care and the staff are A+.

I brought my French Bulldog, Otis, to urgent care because he had been experiencing decreased activity, weakness, and changes in behavior that were concerning to me. Upon arrival, he was panting heavily. As a French Bulldog owner, I understand that panting can be alarming, but Otis frequently becomes worked up in the car, during travel, and in unfamiliar environments, especially during extreme heat. Before my pet's history was fully discussed or I was even checked in, staff immediately focused on the panting and began discussing sedation and emergency concerns. I was initially told about a medication costing approximately $600. Later, the veterinarian explained a different medication was needed so he could examine Otis, and I agreed to those charges. After Otis was taken to the treatment area, I waited for updates. Instead of receiving information about his condition, I was approached multiple times regarding financing options and credit applications. At that point, I still had not received any explanation of what the veterinarian had found, what his physical examination showed, or what the next steps would be. Eventually I was presented with an estimate of approximately $2,000. When I asked what had been found on examination and whether the veterinarian would discuss his assessment with me, I was told that nothing could be determined without additional laboratory work and X-rays. I specifically asked if the veterinarian would return to explain his clinical impressions or provide any guidance regarding the symptoms that brought me in, and I was told no. What disappointed me most was not the estimate itself. Veterinary medicine is expensive, and diagnostic testing has value. My concern is that I left without any meaningful discussion of the problem I brought Otis in for. The visit became entirely focused on diagnostics and financing before I ever received an explanation of what the veterinarian thought might be going on. As a pet owner, I understand that a diagnosis cannot always be made without testing. However, I believe clients deserve clear communication, a discussion of examination findings, and an opportunity to understand the veterinarian's concerns before being asked to make major financial decisions. I left feeling like the primary focus was obtaining approval for diagnostics rather than helping me understand my dog's condition. After spending nearly $300, I still did not have answers regarding the symptoms that prompted the visit in the first place. I hope this feedback helps improve communication with future clients, particularly those who are scared, trying to do the right thing for their pets, and working within real financial limitations.

He escaped the room a few times and when I went to grab him he was already in Dr Jameson arms in the hallway as we were waiting to see her. It was absolutely adorable. The entire staff loved on my babies, gave them each calming puppy plates filled with treats, and made us feel right at home. Dr Jameson is very thorough and took into consideration my concerns with certain treatments. She takes a lot of time in the room to answer any and all of questions. I never feel rushed or forced to do anything unnecessary and I appreciated all her professional insights for my babies. She really does care deeply for these animals and from what I can see is incredibly humble as a person, which are exactly the qualities I look for in a veterinarian. I can't recommend them enough. This is a very hard business field to be in, and they all handle everything like the champions they are. Thank you all so very much! We will see you again soon. Love, Briana, Hannah, and Landon :)

I handed over the original paperwork from the breeder including his date of birth, weight progression, neutering date, microchip info, and vaccine records. The vet I saw noted he still had his baby canines and should have them removed, but said I could have them done in a few months. I asked for his vaccination records a month ago to send to a groomer who required him. First they couldn't find info on him as a patient at all, then found his records but only had a notation of the bordatella shot they had administered, said they had no other history taken down. Then, they found the records of his other shots, but said they'd destroyed the original page with every single bit of information. He had the first canine influenza shot 2 weeks ago. I came in today for his booster, and the following happened: - I walked in and wasn't acknowledged. Desk clerks are always unfriendly and disorganized. - The clinician came out, confirmed the shot he needed, then brought him back out after it was done. - Called him a girl, thought "she" was a puppy, didn't know he'd been neutered, what other vaccine he needed, and didn't know needed the baby teeth taken out. - Made no follow-up appointment the balance of vaccines needed. - Desk clerk rang up the cost of his shot, didn't mention scheduling the other vaccine he needs. I think that says it all. Going to find a new vet; I have no confidence with Country Club Animal Clinic.
