Had a great experience with Dr. Clark. After getting a 5 week old rescue kitten with a terrible eye infection, we were looking for a Vet to take a look, help heal her eyes and make sure there would be no permanent damage. We tried several different vets, but while they were all very nice they were all booked up. We called Dr. Clark and explained the problem, and even though he was short 2 staffers that day and fully booked, he still found a way to make the time. Horrible!!! He has the nickname of Afterdark Clark because he was a bad horse Doctor Now he has started doing more small animal and he sucks! I was warned I didn't listen because he used to be the most inexpensive but that has changed also. He diagnosed my dog with an ear infection when I took him with blood in his ear!!! A month later was bleeding so bad I had to take him to the emergency vet and they found a mass in his ear that Clark missed !! It was HUGE and may be cancer!!! This person claims to love animals yet he subjected my aunts poor pet to a cold dark cage for the last days of his life. Calling her down there to hold the cat while he put it down after denying her the right to see him for almost a week then tells her to leave afterwards and now more than a year later he is still withholding the ashes of her poor cat and companion because he claims she owes him 1000.00 for the cremation. Well after speaking to both the insurance corporation that insured the cat who insists that they already paid for the cremation. Seeing as it's not like he goes out of pocket for such services but the veterinarian licensing board was horrified to learn of this happening as well and so if anyone else has had any similar issues regarding his diluted mentality and cruel disposition. Please contact me I am petitioning the district attorney of riverside county to press charges against this person for cruel and prohibitory business practices, animal cruelty and criminal negligence that resulted in the loss or damage of personal property to a point beyond repair. This kind of injustice cannot be allowed to happen what about when it's your companion something that you love like a child to some or just a pet to another person it is still a living thing that my aunt loved for years and he spent his final days locked up and alone thinking he was abandoned and still even in death he cannot rest because this son of a b!t@# wants to try and double bill. Since moving to the valley a year ago we have been in need of a vet become a regular visitor at. Went here and everyone in the waiting room advised me that this dr is the best in the valley. The place is small and hidden in someone's house so dont be surprised when you pull up. Both me and my wife missed it our first time going. The Dr is very personable and easy to talk to. He addressed my concerns I had with my dog quickly. The vet tech was also really friendly as well. Prices were standard for the area. Only reason I didn't give a 5 star was my appointment was at 3:45pm and I got seen about 4:35. Again this Dr is supposed to be the best so it was worth the wait to me and they do their best not to turn anyone away. I can respect that. If waiting 1-2 hours past your appointment time, leaving your dog for 9 hours, picked up at 10pm, getting yelled at by doctor because you went in to tell them at 7:30pm (time employee at front desk told you when you booked teeth cleaning, small skin bump removal, dog would probably be ready for pick up) that you were waiting in your car so as to shorten time to pick up your dog because it was late in the evening! Doctor over books, doesn't care how long clients have to wait. Seems he thinks he's a Saint for being there to treat ALL the animals that need his wonderful services. He seems stressed to the max, yelling at me about his parent being in the hospital, which is horrible for any person to experience in this covid environment, however his personal problems should Not be taken out on his clients. read more

My dog had a bump on her lip which was growing in size. It didn't seem to bother her but thought I should have it looked at. I took her to the vet I've used previously, but the cost estimate was ridiculous. So I turned to Yelp and found Dr Clark and I'm so glad I did. The price was a fraction of the previous vet, and they did a great job. Yes they are really busy, but Dr Clark took his time explaining everything and really seemed to care. This Animal Hospital should have their license revoked for having no compassion for sick animals because it's all about GREED and money. I've heard so many good things about Dr. Clark that I brought my girl to have her legged looked at. She'd been limping for two weeks and I called Dr. Clark's office for an appointment. Of course, they were backed up, but his team managed to squeeze me in during the winter break! I work a year long job so I was grateful they were able to take me in on my week off. Be advised, the wait time can be pretty long, so make sure you set aside a good chunk of time while you wait for your pet to be seen/assessed. It was well worth the wait because Dr. Clark took the time to examine her movement and prescribed a great treatment that has been working! Most Vets will charge you just to see you. Not Dr. Clark. He takes time to give each patient (the parents and the dogs) individual attention. When my Golden Retriever mix, Zelda had an infected toe nail, Dr. Clark fixed her up, gave me meds and charged me $100. When little Charlie, my poodle mix was limping, the tech asked me a bunch of questions then Dr. Clarke came on the phone, asked a few more questions, assuaged my fears, and told me to rest it and see if it improved on its own for a few more days. It's kind of like having a vet in the family. I would recommend Dr. Clark for any problem, large or small, the only thing is, he's super busy, so you may have to wait. I don't normally leave long reviews because people don't read them but... I am a stickler for punctuality, and this place is the opposite. I went in for my first appointment, waited over an hour, my dog had her check up in a room I wasn't invited to and I got to speak with the Dr for about 5mins. I had no plans on going back, but I had a friend tell me I was making a mistake. So I went back for my second appointment, same thing. I didn't care what anyone said there was no way I was going back. But then my dog got sick. I took her in with no appointment. As soon as I got there not only did the staff meet me with a sense of urgency that made me feel like they cared, so did Dr Clark. He spent as much time with me as I wanted listening to every word I had to say so that he could fully understand what was going on and how to best approach the issue. Through the ordeal I could reach out to him at any time and speak with him personally. Not a receptionist, not a vet tech, Dr Clark. You can tell he cares, he really cares. After this situation I can't imagine having another vet. Yes the wait is annoying but the level of service you receive when you need it most makes it more than worth it. After talking to me personally on the phone to get the story first hand, we went in the next day. Called Dr. Clark as my dog all of a sudden pulled up lame. Couldn't put weight on his back leg. My vet Paws and Claws was booked for a couple of days and I didn't want him to wait that long so I did what many pet owners would do and see if I could just this one time take him elsewhere if I could get him seen earlier. Didn't want him in pain any longer than necessary. So I called Dr. Clark as I am familiar with him as clients have used him for horses. He now does dogs and other animals. So he answers the phone distant like he was on speaker I explained what happened and told him I usually go to Paws and Claws and wondered if he could see him sooner. He responds verbatim "LOOK I WILL BE HONEST WITH YOU. I SEE 80 PATIENTS A DAY AND AS FAR AS I AM CONCERNED PAWS AND CLAWS NEEDS TO TAKE CARE OF THEIR OWN CUSTOMERS." Click ?!.. All I could think of was WOULD I be able to taper my response to this AS# if I was there in front of him with my injured dog. I read thru the negative reviews and there was a common point made about rudeness. HE is an older Dr. That apparently has gotten jaded and nasty with age. I am the most annoying parent. I'm glad he can't review me back. I came to see Dr Clark. Fairly common issue w my dog. Was in his ear. They took great care of us. After his surgery he was okay. Then my dog almost died a few days later for swallowing a ball. I was in a panic. Somehow with my mother and I, he was saved. The Dr went above and beyond what I expected taking care of my baby. He is very popular/busy. So expect lots of ppl. I didn't mind that. When I came the first time I waited an hour w an appointment. I still will go to him every time. If you want the best for your pet/baby go to him. I have had so many pets and am the hardest judge to vets. So if you want a great Dr come here. I had to borrow money to do it. Made an appointment four days prior. Showed up 10 minutes early filled out paper work as it was my first visit since I live in Oregon. After sitting 30 minutes in the reception area was taken to an exam office where they weighed my dog and took her temperature and was told the doctor would be right in. After waiting another 30 minutes with no one coming in to update why the wait I left. My time is valuable as well as the doctors. Hope you have better luck than I did. read more

After having so many negative experiences here, I've been asking around to get other vets' opinions, and every person I've talked to agrees they do not think Dr Clark should have his license. This man and his staff are understaffed, undertrained, and should not be trusted with the health and lives of peoples pets. On their best day they are several house behind, even if you have an appointment, and they tell you if you don't like it then reschedule. Dr Clark himself has bragged about actions that are nothing less than malpractice. He will take the most simple task and put your pets life at risk. If you care at all about the health or safety of your pet, please consider taking them to any other veterinarian who has the skills and training to properly care for them. Look around this place and you can tell something is wrong. Or ask for yourself and get other veterinarians feedback and you will hear how poorly he is viewed by his peers. My First time visit I waited 2 hours. According to others in the waiting room the average wait time is 1.5 to 2 hours long. I recommend thr office team to advise patients when scheduling so we can prepare. I was asked to wait in my car because my dog had a cough but I was in my car for over an hour before I was put in a private room to wait again. I wish I would have had a better experience. I'm glad the assistant was nice. The doctor was mad at me because I kept complaining about the wait. He came in very rude and cold then he said my dog would die in front of my 9 year old and my dog only had a little Kennal cough (maybe). My daughter was crying. I usually review 5 star places. Our 10 year old dog had a problem with her eye & another vet told us it was cancer, wanted to us to schedule a meeting with oncologist, we opted for a 2nd opinion & we were told it's not cancer it's glaucoma, it doesn't hurt her, just leave it alone.
