Tattoo from Rich at Clandestine Rabbit in Tarzana, CA
    Jonny J.

After looking at tattoo artists for over a year I decided Rich at Clandestine Rabbit in Tarzana would be the right fit for my first tattoo. At the age of 59 I assure you it was not an impulsive decision. I met with Rich and we talked about my ideas and of course being the experienced professional he made a few suggestions that really spoke to me, my personality, and what I wanted for a tattoo. I came back a couple weeks later and Rich and the entire studio made me feel welcome and it was a pretty pleasant place to be. The tattoo its self took less time than I imagined and turned out much much better than what I was expecting. Being my first tattoo I was building up how much it would hurt and I'm glad to say it wasn't bad at all...annoying yes but not unbearable. I fully recommend Rich and the staff at Clandestine Rabbit!

OUTSTANDING!! If you are looking for a blend of artistic talent and professionalism! This place offers all that and more!! Richard is my side and he's incredibly talented and easy to work with!! The shop's commitment to hygiene and safety is commendable, making me feel comfortable throughout the entire procedure. I couldn't be happier with the final result - a masterpiece! I highly recommend you checking it!

I've gotten 90% of my tattoos from Greg at Clandestine Rabbit. Even before this shop existed. Dude is the best. As far as the shop goes, the environment is really fun and chill. All the artists are nice and extremely talented at what they do. I started on a full sleeve a month or so ago and didn't even look at any other shop before starting. I knew Greg was who I wanted to do it. About half way through so far and couldn't be happier.

Went to get my tattoo with my boy Richard! Absolutely such a genuine guy and a great tattoo artist! Loved the way my tattoo came out and how the transitioning from grey to white was on the spot. He was really fast and precise and was absolutely painless. Throughout the whole time there nothing but genuine conversation all around. Most probably the reason as to why I did not feel everything. Richard gave such excellent customer service and took time with me as far as placement and the type of shading was involved. The store overall was well sanitized and organized. Definitely worth visiting and asking for Richard his @bumboclots on ig

My favorite tattoo shop. These artists are so great. Nothing but great art & zero problems. I've been tattooed by at least half the artists, & I keep coming back.

CHIBI RESA IS THE SWEETEST MOST PATIENT PERSON! She did an AMAZING job on my thigh piece, I felt so bad for the amount of times I kept twitching due to the pain but her allowing me 7hrs of her time to create this was definitely worth it. I definitely am going back to her for my future anime tats as she delivers exactly what I wanted and also adds cute little color background details. I would recommend her 100% to anyone who is interested in getting an anime tattoo. Thank you for your time. I hope to see you soon!

Thanks for putting my jewelry back in Ryan.

My nose stud fell out again sunday night . I called and asked if Ryan was there yesterday and if he could put it in again for me. This time he gave me a different piece of jewelry and adjusted it higher inside my nose since it's so small. No charge this time, and said if I had any other problems just come see him. I appreciate that! They are very welcoming here and that's what I like in my neighborhood shop.

My husband and I love coming here to get our tattoos! We live in desert hot springs (4 hours away) but that will never stop us coming here. They have amazing artists and a super friendly atmosphere. They know exactly what they're doing and are always super clean! We'll always come back to get tattoos from goretaku and sprovler their styles are amazing and they'll always make sure you leave happy. I'll be posting some of our tattoos that they made. It's clear that they're extremely experienced and know how to make the tattoo look good on you! Also, if you want black light (neon) tattoos sprovler is so so awesome for that and I would never trust anyone else for something like this!! And if you love anime style tattoos goretaku is definitely the most amazing artist that can actually make it looks like it really came right from the anime or hentai

Work of Jordan aka @goretaku on IG. Check out that Vaporwave color scheme
    Matt N.

A friend of mine sent me a post from Clandestine during the holidays for a fundraiser for kids (theirs was called "Toys for Tats" where ya picked up a $20 toy, and gave a $20 tip for a tattoo from a flash sheet that was designed by all the artists). The post was shared from Jordan's Instagram page (@goretaku) and as I looked at his other pieces - I knew I wanted to get tattooed by him. Met the man during Toys for Tats, gave him the deposit, and a few weeks later, we banged out an utterly impressive piece that'll forever be immortalized on my forearm and holy SHIT am I proud to have it! The piece itself stems from the top of my left wrist, all the way towards the bottom of my elbow. Jordan can literally draw anything, but he mainly specializes in Anime tattoos and the character I now have on my arm (Bakugou from My Hero Academia) has been kind of a hot commodity towards the masses, as a lot of people are now getting him on their skin.. through conversation, Jordan found out that I love Vaporwave fashion (think 80's Miami-Vice colors with ambient-neon-magenta's and teal's etc etc) so he asked my opinion on changing the color scheme... and although I was a little skeptical at first, I was willing to see what he would bring to life... and when he showed me the color scheme from his tablet, I fell in love.. This piece is insanely original and the coloring is like the "garnish" on top during a menu-read that makes everyone happy when deciding on what food to order.. I can't thank Jordan enough! I'll post a photo of the work in a second. Atmosphere of the shop: I mean, it's like any other tattoo shop - filled with pieces of artwork that'll give you ideas in your head as you wait x-amount of hours while your tattoo is being done. They all talk some good "mess" so be prepared for that and don't be afraid to chime in - all of their artists are really cool and are really welcoming. Couple of key things to consider: -it's a tattoo shop; be prepared to spend money. this tattoo shop has HEAVY-HITTERS on their team so do your research on pricing, and your tattoo, because I booked out Jordan for the day and it wasn't cheap and I cannot stress this enough - you really do get what you pay for... I know that gets thrown around a lot when it comes to the service industry but just remember that tattoos are forever... and being a service industry worker, myself, it's nice when people support your craft. -be prepared for your artist to possibly change up a couple of things based off of what you want... your tattoo artist is there to listen to your needs but may put a little spin on a couple of things so don't be offended if that happens - Jordan took a couple of photos that I sent him and basically conjured up a piece and went to work on it... don't you want a tattoo that's customized, anyway? Not off some other dude/dudettes skin? -tip at least 20% eh? It's 2020... 15% is cheap as all hell... remember, your artist is most likely working at a commission rate that can take up to half of their earnings - an extra couple of hundred dollars take home is nice at the end of the night, especially when they drew out your whole piece from scratch, and then spent like 7 hours on your skin. Don't be a dick, save your pennies and spend accordingly. All in all, really dope experience, sorry for writing a damn novel but if this post helps at least one person, then I'm happy. Go and give Jordan all of your money. Hit him up on Instagram @goretaku - he's got specifics on deposits and his day rates and such. Give him a DM, he's like the nicest dude. I'm definitely going back to give him more money!

Where to even start I've been going to this shop for a while now and most of my pieces have been done by the lovely Resa, I've always let her take the wheel when she tattoos me and all I gotta say she doesn't disappoint. Everyone there is very kind and funny. The experience is great, I always have a blast when I'm there.

From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly and immediately made to feel at ease. The shop itself is very clean and welcoming. The jewelry is beautifully displayed. I just wish I remembered the name of the woman who helped us because she made such an impression. She walked us through all the options at different price points in a way that felt completely neutral and respectful. There was no subtle steering toward something more expensive. It genuinely felt like whatever we chose was the right choice. Ivy, my piercer, was incredibly thorough and precise. I really want to stress how pleasant and painless this piercing was. I am talking pain level 0 out of 10. I AM NOT MAKING THAT UP. She is extremely clean in her process and talked me through every step so I always knew what was happening. The room itself felt like a doctor's office in terms of cleanliness and professionalism. I wanted to write this because there aren't many reviews here about septum piercings specifically. When I was searching for where I wanted to go, Oak and Poppy kept coming up but I didn't see many septum reviews. Ivy is a true professional in this work. It's clear she knows exactly what she's doing. The staff cares about the customer's experience and it shows every step of the way. Making memories to be cherished for a lifetime through Joy's artwork…read more.. This is my story of getting 12.28.2007--because every tattoo has a story. Joy was truly instrumental in finding the perfect design. Her impeccable eye for art and class allowed me to make a permanent imprint of something so precious to me, ensuring it lasts a lifetime. I never thought tattoos were for me--especially at this stage in life. I first met Joy eight years ago for microblading to achieve bolder eyebrows. At the time, she was new, but her knowledge and gentle, non-pressured approach gave me confidence. She did an incredible job, and soon, my entire family followed. My wife, sisters, mom, and four nieces all received microblading, ombré, and PMU treatments over the years. As Joy expanded her services, she worked on my male friends as well. One of the most impressive transformations was a scalp micropigmentation (SMP) for my aging friend--it took years off his appearance. After seeing the undetectable results, I had to try it myself. Her SMP work was a game-changer. It covered my shining crown with natural, hair-like artistry and gave me an incredible confidence boost. Then, I started noticing her tattoo work on Instagram--unlike the large, wild designs you often see (which are great, but not my style). Joy's tattoos were elegant, classy, and clean. Even the smallest ones carried powerful meaning. That's when it hit me: a tattoo with deep personal significance is artwork only you can wear. For years, I had wanted a way to honor our beloved first daughter, Rachael, who left us too soon. In Korean, they say, You bury your parents in the ground, but you bury your child in your heart. Those who know... know. Fast forward to my conversations with Joy. We explored different options--hand poke, traditional, various styles. She patiently guided me, helping me refine the idea. Ultimately, we chose Roman numerals, and she meticulously went through fonts and sizes to ensure it was perfect. She took her time, never rushing, making sure I was completely satisfied. When we placed the template, I looked in the mirror. It was perfect. No... it was better than I had imagined. A wish I had carried in my heart was now real--something I could touch and see. The birth and life of our beloved daughter now lives on through this tattoo. Thank you, Joy! Your work is beyond just tattoo. It is a one-of-a-kind masterpiece!
