I just got an amazing tattoo from Howard - he's a real gifted artist, and a true professional. He enticed me with a great art deposit of $45, did the design to a 'T' then worked with my finicky schedule to be accommodating and efficient. His shop is clean and comforting with neat artwork all over the walls. He quoted a very fair price, and stuck to it. After 90 minutes, the end product of a tattoo I've dreamt years of getting was seriously worth the time and money. I would highly recommend T-Man Tattoo to anyone exploring inking for the first time. Howard is amazing -- creative, accurate, strangely quick for how beautiful his work is... Dave is awesome, too -- talented, funny, I can't say enough good things. They are true artists. My friends came into town and the three of us got tattoos together, one of us with Dave and two of us with Howard. Howard worked on me and my friend. The work is impeccable and gorgeous. Dave worked on my friend, who was getting a cover-up. I can't believe how beautiful it looks. You can't even see the old tattoo. I couldn't be more pleased. I came in to get matching tattoos with a friend. Our artist overbooked himself and rushed quickly through our tattoos. My birthday is rapidly approaching and I needed to get a tattoo to commemorate the occasion. After I bit of research I came across T-Man...and I am so glad I did. I came in with an solid idea, but knew I wanted to expand upon it. Howard took one look, gave some suggestions and we were underway. During the session he was great conversation and had a few minor tweaks he made to the design along the way. This was by no means my first tattoo, but I've never worked with a tattoo artist so dedicated to their craft that were continually thinking about refining as they went along. So many stop thinking about the artistry the moment needle touches skin. The precision of the design is outstanding, and It's gonna look amazing (I will be posting a photo once the redness goes down) Thank you Howard for an amazing experience, and seriously...check this place out...I know I'll be coming back soon. read more

Howard is the man behind my "da mihi basia millie, mea ......" side of the foot tattoo and I LOVE it!!!! Sure, perhaps I could have left my sons dads name off of the end, but hey - that's life! Everyone seems to love this tattoo of mine and they always ask what it says. I tell them it says "kiss me with a million kisses" and I stop right there and never let them get close enough to see whose name is after "my" mea :) Although I am proud of every inch of it. I walked into the shop Howard was at prior to this one here in Studio City (several years ago) and he was very helpful and gave me exactly what I wanted. I've been happy with it since day 1. Now that I'm ready to be selfish and stop donating blood for 12 months, it's time I pay him another visit for my 6th tattoo - a side piece I've been wanting forever! I went here today to have my nose pierced and I was super nervous, but had done my research and this shop consistently came up as one of the best in the area. Howard did my piercing and he was so sweet and laid-back, making sure that I was comfortable with the placement of the piercing and helping me to relax. Howard is great! I went in 1 week ago to get a tattoo on my lower back and came out with a work of art! Seriously - I made an appointment, showed up with what I thought was the perfect design and Howard took it to the next level and made it unique! I have known Jared for a long time, so of course, he was the first person I went to when getting pierced. My boyfriend got his lip, and I got my septum. My boyfriend is fearless and is good with pain, so that one went nice and smoothly. THen when it was my turn, to get my septum pierced, I was scared, and im not good with pain. Jared helped me through it, and eased it, by every other second saying, "are you okay dear" I would recccommend jared to anyone!!!! read more

These guys are great! I went here to get my ears re-pierced, as they had closed up years ago. The place was very clean and sterile. Jared worked with me and was nothing but helpful. He changed his gloves often and used a different sterile needle for each ear. I also had a belly-button piercing that was starting to close up (I had lost my ring and just never got around to buying another) that Jared helped me with. I bought another ring from him, and he used his tools to help open it up a little and put the ring in. And not only were the guys here professional, they were also fun to talk to and kept my mind at ease. I would recommend this place to all my friends. read more

I work right down the street and came here on International Women's Day to get a quick little Venus symbol done, I didn't have an appointment but he took me in right away and made me feel very comfortable the whole time. So I came to Howard after he had previously done one on my arm; I was so pleased with his work that I asked if he could help me by covering a tattoo I had previously received at another shop and gladly accepted the challenge. He took a dark peace sign with dark wording and turned it into an amazingly beautiful fish on my foot. I was amazed at how he could take a dark tattoo and turn it into something so pretty and so well colored. He's also very sweet and so easy to talk to; he would make even the most nervous person feel comfortable and confident in his abilities. He was also very patient, the tattoo was on my foot which is pretty painful, but he was so patient with me and reassuring throughout the entire session. He went above and beyond anything I was expecting and I will definitely be going to Howard for any future work! read more

Meet the Business Owner: Howard T.

Teman arrived in Los Angeles to pursue his art career in 1984. By the age of 23, Teman was already one of the most sought-after rock n' roll t-shirt designers with the merchandising company Great Southern. There, Teman designed t-shirts for such acts as Cher, Bon Jovi, Iron Maiden, Lynrd Skynrd, Cypress Hill, and designed a world tour t-shirt for The Scorpions, which became Great Southern's all time best seller. In the early '90s, Teman became renowned around Hollywood for his series of lithographs which reflect pop culture of the 20th and 21st centuries. These pieces contained uncanny likenesses of Hollywood film legends, rock stars, horror and sci-fi, comedy, sports, television, politicians, and infamous serial killers. Not only was Allen able to help me and replace the flat backs on my existing jewelry, he also informed me that my naval piercing that fell out months ago wasn't closed. Instead of having to re-pierce Allen advised me all I needed to do was buy or bring in jewelry and he'd insert it for me. I love the honesty and how helpful Allen was! My partner and I came in to return a jewelry piece he surprised me with as a gift. I didn't even open the clear jewelry case since I immediately knew this septum ring was too large for me to wear. We clearly told the lady behind the register that we were there to exchange or return the piece. She tells us to wait for the piercer since others were waiting ahead of us. After waiting for over a half hour, I asked again, "do we really have to wait for the piercer to return this piece???" She said the piercer handles the jewelry. We were there for a total of at least 50 minutes! The piercer finally comes to us and tells us that jewelry cannot be returned after it leaves the shop. Why didn't the lady sitting behind the register give us this information as soon as we told her why we came in to the shop, instead of making us wait for almost an hour to just be extremely disappointed after speaking with the piercer? This place sucks, no respect and no consideration for patrons' valuable time. I have never been to a tattoo and piercing shop where the person at the register doesn't have basic knowledge on the shop's jewelry "policies" Back story: my partner goes in to this shop to surprise me with a septum ring. Another piercer helps him with picking out the jewelry. Bless my partner's heart but he knows nothing about piercings. He shows the piercer a photo of what I usually wear and somehow they pick out a piece that's triple the size of what I wear. The piercer never told my partner that jewelry is final sale. This place is an absolute disappointment and not helpful at all! Buy your jewelry somewhere else and go to a shop where everyone in the establishment values you as a customer!

Howard always has a great positive energy, he's a great artist to begin with, and would always give professional feedback and guide you to your own special tattoo.
