I really wanted to get a piercing done so I caved and got it done here. BUT every single time I walk in just look at the piercings when I'm at the mall the workers ALWAYS look annoyed, no warm welcome or smile.. Not really welcoming overall, service is okay but the rates are decent compared to other private piercers I've been to. When I asked for my piercers opinion for placement she felt very dismissive, straight answers and little reasoning, and I just felt like I needed to leave just so I can get out of their hair. I wish I didn't because I am not quite content with my results.. I came for a double helix. Well.. they take walk ins, I waited roughly 30 mins, got pierced, paid $141 for 2 Piercings with 2 studs. I would come here again for simple piercings like lobe or single helix. Complex piercings I would go somewhere more reputable! read more

It's been about a year since I've got my 2nd piercing in my ear here at studs. I can give an honest review. We did chose to do it a little bit cheaper by allowing a student to pierce us. It was about 25 dollars cheaper. The earrings were very expensive I thought, but we just paid what was required. The process was relatively easy. Make an appointment, show up sign the paperwork and then get pierced. My best friend and I both got pierced on the same day, my piercing was in my ear was my second hole and hers were other places on her ears and Cartilage. The process wasn't bad but the AFTER for both of us was horrible. My earrings kept coming out and I had to get them replaced several times. And for her, both of the places on her ears had piercing rejection and they both had to be pierced again at a different place. The shop is clean and it's convenient but I wouldn't go back. I wish I did more research before coming to this place because it is EXPENSIVE!! I got both of my earlobe pierced for $55. The pricing for the earrings were NOT clear. When I was picking out the earring - I assumed the price was for both. I assumed wrong and ended up paying $190.00 for a pair of earrings. If I knew that, I honestly would've chosen much differently but even the cheapest ones were still $30-40 for ONE. On top of $12 saline bottle. So i paid a total of $257 which wasn't presented to me until AFTER my ears were pierced.. I would say the place was very clean and sterile. But I still don't think it's worth the price. I was so happy when I initially came, but my second visit was not the best. First off, I came by to swap out a piece of jewelry I got in January that lost a stone. The piece of jewelry was like $70 bucks or something and a stone just fell out so easily? That was disappointing. The woman who swapped it out for me was not friendly and I felt like she was kind of rushing me out of there. I also didn't realize that when you go back to get your jewelry changed, you have to pay for them to change it and for the cost of the shorter post. That adds up! I would maybe understand ONE fee but two? Why? I quickly fell out of love with this business model and starting looking twice at the quality of the jewelry. I think it may only make sense if you plan to get a full earscape here so you can get a cut on the price for more piercings. Other than that, the cost just piles on and on. read more

When I'm in new places I tend to do impulsive things. I love a good ear piercing considering how decorated my ears already are. So when I seen this place was in the mall not far from my hotel, I knew had to get something done. I did just that. Made the appointment online, which was an easy process. Best time to go is Monday through Thursday during their happy hour. Which gets you a percentage off of your total. To get two piercings for $35, that's amazing. But that doesn't include jewelry. Jewelry is sold separately. Their pieces range from $35-$150 I believe. The establishment was so clean, which should ease any anxiety one may have around contamination, infection risk etc... They call you back, you get pierced, check out the piercing, pay your dues, and walk out. So smooth, so effortless, and straight to the point. I highly recommend studs! I was sad to see them close the Melrose location close to my home so I was happy to find out the opening one at the Topanga Westfield mall. They were very friendly and helpful. They have so much beautiful jewelry to choose from and the piercing experience as far as superior from anything you would get With a gun versus a needle. I had an appointment and upon arriving wasn't greeted by anyone. I went up to the counter and the girl at the front didn't look up once. She was busy so I gave her the benefit of the doubt but after waiting literally 5 min I finally initiated the conversation and it was like pulling teeth trying to find out how the process worked. I took my teen daughter to get her ears pierced and they asked if I wanted both ears. I said yes and they showed me the choices of earrings. I couldn't believe how expensive they were but I chose the $110 gold earrings with a little gem. No one told me that was PER EAR! So when I got done and decided to buy the $12 tiny bottle of saline to keep her ears clean, it was $289!!!!! Yep. I couldn't say anything because the piercings had been done in the lobes of her ears already. But wow. A heads up that the $110 wasn't for the pair would have helped. This was quite unexpected. If you're looking to pierce your ear, do not go here and do not bring your children here. I pierced my ear more than six months ago, one of them healed, and the other one didn't. I booked an appointment to make sure that nothing is wrong with it since the time of healing passed. The piercing person refused to even touch my ear during an appointment. She just wanted to lift my hair and look at it. I asked her if I should switch up to jewelry or take it out because I felt like something was wrong with it. She told me she was unable to take out anything because she said that the piercing did not heal yet and sent me home without even touching it or inspecting it properly. I went home. The infection in my ear lope was getting bigger and bigger in the next two weeks. Now we got to the point where it's bleeding a lot. I tried calling them, but there is no one to talk to on the phone. Ok so came here a few days ago for a piercing, girls were friendly-ish but the girl who pierced me has this huge cold sore on her mouth and made no effort to wear a mask or anything. I should have left but wasn't sure if i would get charged for canceling the appointment last minute. She had a very active cold sore and is around open wounds, i'm not sure what the health code about that but I'm almost sure she should be covering that bad boy up with a mask since it's transmitted through saliva and she's literally talking to you inches from an open wound. We'll see how my ears heal and how it goes. I should have just paid the extra 50 bucks and gotten them done at my usual piercing shop. Not impressed - in order to see earrings they have to take them out and put them on these scissor things so you can hold them up. The girls working there were annoyed about showing more than one of two earrings but I'm sorry if I'm building a stack or have to wear these for months I want to see them. Also- after buying $300 worth of earrings here to say they need a better system to try them on/hold them up. I didn't get offered the free jewelry box and only knew about it from ig after.
